Perfect little spot for a quick overnight after a long day of travel. The Treehouse across the street had some amazing food and we had a restful stay.

Great little spot by the river. Flat was clean and functional. For what we needed it was perfect, and considering the price, it was good value. No allocated parking, but easily found space on the opposite side of the street.

Second stay at Liz’s place. We were happy with it on the first stay but the second proved we were right to go back. Everything you need for a home from home. Ideal location. Close to town and beach. Everything in the house is quality. Very comfortable all round. Facilities are easy to use. Good restaurants and bars very close, also not far from the train station. We were in Glasgow within the hour. We had a lovely break this time as well. Look forward to the next time.

A delightful property that met all our needs. Wonderful view of harbour, and rooms thoughtfully designed and furnished to make the most of this. Helpful owner — nothing too much trouble. Comfortable, well equipped and utterly peaceful. Not to mention high quality cafe downstairs.

Brilliant apartment. Immaculately clean and had everything we needed. We were able to walk 4 mins to silloth golf club from here. Very good restaurant next door. The 2nd bed wasn’t made unfortunately but the host responded quickly to give instructions of where to find the bedding. Would definitely stay here again

We have just returned from a weekend away at this beautiful villa for a family weekend away. Beautiful location with spectacular scenery on the drive in. The villa has the wow factor. Home from home, the hosts have thought of everything and we couldn’t think of a single improvement except for a guest book so we could write our positive thoughts and recommendations in person of places to visit in the area for other visitors to read. The kids loved the park, ducks and football court, they also loved reading in the villa and playing board games which were all in the villa to use. Myself and my partner enjoyed walking around the site and spending quality time as a family. We couldn’t recommend this villa or hosts more highly and we thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us so we could make forever memories to treasure. Stephanie, Scott and family 🙏🏻

A beautifully presented house, it felt like staying in a luxury hotel! Lee and Kay had thought of everything from the welcome Prosecco to the bathrobes and OS maps! Parking was easy and right outside; the bedroom and bathroom were spacious and luxurious; the spotless kitchen had everything we needed. Communication was clear and friendly from start to finish. A perfect house for a couple seeking some peace and quiet, would highly recommend.

This cottage is wonderful. Right opposite Stranraer beach Perfect amount of space for a family. We loved sitting in the conservatory reading whilst our son watched you tube. Beds are comfy. The cottage is on a main road, but it’s not busy. The noise didn’t disturb us. At the back of the cottage you don’t notice it. Great base to explore the area. Tina is a great host x

John and Dan were fantastic hosts, with great communication from booking all the way until we left. Very accommodating and anything we asked and responses within a minute or two when we messaged. The pictures don’t do the place justice in my opinion. It’s always a great feeling when you feel you are getting more than you thought..and that’s how we felt. The linen was amazing, they didn’t cut corners with the type of linen in all rooms. Each room had its own theme which gave a lovely experience. The garden and view of the woods and river was just lovely..really adds to the hot tub experience. Overall, I highly recommend this place and I cannot fault the hosts on anything..thanks John and Dan

Beautiful little village, so peaceful and relaxing. Lots of lovely walks & great play area for kids. The house was lovely, well presented and the hot tub was an added bonus. The kitchen had an air fryer & toastie machine which is a great addition for families trying to make quick and easy meals. We loved our stay. The play park was fantastic with play area for young & older kids, bmx ramp & basketball court.

The first thing we noticed on arrival was the stunning view! Then the lodge on entry was so cosy and tastefully furnished and decorated. We had never used an Aga before and are now converts! Everything about the lodge was peaceful and we loved that there was no technology apart from excellent wifi. The walk to the beach through a field with visiting deer was just lovely and we enjoyed sitting out and listening to the birds on the back porch. Sam our border terrier loved it too. The location was great too for visiting a part of D&G that we were not so familiar with. Our hosts were responsive to our questions and asks and gave us some great recommendations of places to visit which we took up and really enjoyed. We would not hesitate in recommending this fabulous place to stay. Hope to return! Thank you Finn & Michael.

Luke & Karen are top hosts and went out of their way to help us with our booking - there was a chance we might not make it over for our stay and they were super patient and understanding in their communication with us. We did make it and it was great!

fabulous location for visiting family. allocated parking right outside the front door. well located for walking into Dumfries. Apartment as described, everything we needed for our stay. very comfy beds, lovely bed linen. kitchen well equipped. No complaints from us, will definitely return if visiting Dumfries.

Needed a base in Cockermouth to see friends for the weekend. We were very comfortable and its useful having parking in town.

2nd time in Port Logan and will definitely be back for a 3rd. The cottage is just beautiful and the views are second to none,. Great hosts and welcome basket was a lovely touch. Had a great time!

Very nice place for a private room in Aurelia’s place. Close to town and very convenient. Left to my own devices which suited my short stay. Highly recommended.
