One of the best Airbnb I have stayed! The house matches the pictures and description perfectly! the staff was amazing and always helpful! we got all the help we needed with shopping and organising tours to see the island! Definitely the place to stay in Vilanculos

This rental home is probably one of the most unique that we have ever experienced. Incredible natural beauty, gorgeous views, refreshing outdoor bathrooms, etc. Felt like we are in nature while having the luxuries of civilization. Truly a memorable stay. Dave and his crew are helpful and accommodating. If we ever get out to Tofo again, we would love to stay here for an even longer duration.

This was our second stay at Shangri-La, and once again, it exceeded all expectations. Francine’s stunning villa is truly a gem, and we’re already looking forward to staying here again someday. Francine is an exceptional host - warm, attentive, and always ready to assist with any questions or needs. Shangri-La holds a special place in our hearts as the setting for so many wonderful memories. Notre séjour dans cette villa avec sa plage privée a été tout simplement exceptionnel. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis par Nathalia, Edith et Neré, qui ont tout fait pour rendre notre séjour inoubliable. La villa elle-même est un véritable havre de paix. Les chambres sont spacieuses, impeccablement propres et offrent une vue imprenable sur l'océan. La plage privée est un véritable atout, permettant des moments de détente en toute intimité. Alexandre a même fait installer pour notre confort, un espace ombragé avec fauteuil. Nous avons particulièrement apprécié les petites attentions de nos hôtes, toujours disponibles pour répondre à nos besoins. This is beautiful villa, perfect for families with children who seek some privacy, beach time, pool time and the pampering of the chef and the housekeeper! (Kids shall be safe swimmers as the pool is deep.) A total relaxing holiday! The beach is easy to reach, 15 min walk and for the return a tuk-tuk is always available. The beach is also fantastic, not too crowded, with super comfy sunbeds. Communication with the host was really easy and proactive, the housekeeper was able to help with anything we needed. Overall this was our best ever holiday experience!

One of the most stunning Airbnb’s I have ever stayed at! Absolutely lovely decorated and with a first row view at the breathtaking scenery of Lake Ruhondo. Would definitely recommend to stay there!!

We had a beautiful stay. It was peaceful, close to the beach and close to other amenities. We loved the charm of the accommodation and the hosting was top notch!

Denise foi uma ótima anfitriã, demonstrando simpatia e gentileza em todos os momentos. Ela fez questão de nos esperar até às 21h de um domingo para nos receber pessoalmente. Na manhã seguinte, estava a postos logo cedo para nos levar para um tour de carro pelos arredores, incluindo supermercados e praias. A propriedade é maravilhosa, com uma vista incrivel para o mar. Ela está muito bem equipada, limpa e com todos os itens necessários para uma estadia tranquila. Consideramos o local ideal para casais ou para quem viaja em família por ser muito seguro e tranquilo.

10/10 would recommend. Pictures don’t do the place any justice. Julie was quick to respond to our texts. We have an awesome weekend. Only issue we had, was the wifi and the slow connection to the TV. We couldn’t watch a show without buffering but the wifi worked well on our cellphone devices.

Let me say the place is beautifully situated on the beach with a excellent view. The house felt like a luxury beach hut with beautiful infinity pool. We enjoyed the bar and the bbq area. The additional pool house was perfect for my adult child to be close but separate. We saw so many beautiful little creatures and plant species it was amazing. Our daughter enjoyed the pool almost every morning and built sand castles on the beach. The kitchen and bar were completely equipped and having a water dispenser was great felt like home! Corrine and Brenda were great friendly and responsive to any issues. Thanks for the Samosas Brenda they were a delicious welcome snack to Mauritius. Loved this place and would definitely recommend. Most Airbnb's are pretty nice but this is a very special place! We could only stay two nights and two weeks would not have been enough. The river, the other buildings, the creative use of hydro and solar power, are simple superb! Her family is quite special, artists in their own right, intelligent, sophisticated in a healthy rural way. The Stone House, mouth agape. One thing some should be aware of, the long rough driveway - we live in the Montana countryside so are used to it - but some may not be, so be prepare for the adventure in one of the most unique and special places on earth. Wow!!!

Die Unterkunft ist fantastisch. Jeder der in dieser Gegend ist sollte in diese Unterkunft kommen. Die Aussicht war unglaublich. Die Unterkunft ist sehr gut ausgestattet und sehr privat. Die Begrüßung war super freundlich und es gab sogar einen Imbiss der für uns vorbereitet wurde. Die Kommunikation war einwandfrei. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen und wären gerne länger geblieben. Toller Ort!!!

This surpassed our expectations. It's a very tranquil and beautiful spot; the river by the collage is stunning, and the host was extremely helpful when we got trapped in the mud. Whatever you do, stay a day longer. You will regret not staying longer.

We had a great time at the lodge. The team was very friendly and the location is amazing. We would definitely come back. There is also a very small shop in the village 5 minutes away by foot, where you can get some groceries, which was nice and run by very friendly people. We enjoyed the quiet and peaceful area, sitting on the terrace and the beautiful river nile.

Wir haben uns sehr spontan entschieden für zwei Nächte zu bleiben, dafür haben wir eine sehr schnelle Antwort erhalten. Es war möglich am Anreisetag zu buchen, das war super! Wir hatten einen richtig tolle und ruhige Auszeit im grünen. Das Haus war genauso wie wir es uns vorgestellt haben und es war total unkompliziert einzuchecken. Die Lage ist der Hammer, man kann direkt runter zum Nil gehen und hat viel Platz und viele Orte zum ausruhen. Im Haus hatten wir alles was wir brauchten, zudem haben wir uns sehr sicher gefühlt. Ein toller Ort um Urlaub zu machen, nur zu empfehlen! Wir würden aufjedenfall wiederkommen :) Der Kontakt zu Klint und Lisa war super und es war alles sehr unkompliziert und spontan möglich!

Authentic cabins in the middle of trees, 5 mins from the Morne's public beach. A good way to reconnect with nature. We were greeted in the morning by a friendly camel and donkey, which our kids absolutely loved.
