This was our second time staying at this location, a sign that we have been very satisfied with the experience. The house is beautiful, the views of the lake are spectacular, the house is located well off the road so that we never heard any traffic noise, and it is a short drive into Grand Marais to cafes, stores, and restaurants. We recommend it highly!

Crystal was an absolutely Stellar Hostess and I would have no problem whatsoever giving her the highest recommendation for Airbnb we have stayed with her for quite some time and anyone who is able to have her as a hostess is very lucky

This is our 2nd timing staying here and just like last time, we really enjoyed our stay! Perfect location for winter activities- close to snowmobiling trails. Great parking for our trailer. We really love that we can bring our dogs as well!

We loved our stay in Lutsen! 6 of us came up to ski in February and the house was less than 10 mins to the resort. The house was very nice and clean- we loved the fireplace, record player, and looking out over Lake Superior. Would definitely stay here again!

We were a group of 9 adults and Jess and Paul’s place is perfect for a large group. It is very difficult to find enough sleeping spaces, so this worked out perfectly for us. The hosts are very responsive and proactively communicated with us. The property manager apartment is connected to the house, but we had our own space and there is privacy. The amenities are awesome, the sauna was TOASTY! We loved long evenings by the fire outside. Amazing access to trails - both easy and challenging. Grand Marais is just 5 minutes down the road. Overall, we had a 10/10 experience!

Fantastic location, walking distance to all amenities as well as local parks. The house was clean, well layed out and had great coffee. Bobbie was quick to reply and very helpful when needed. I highly recommend this location as well as host.

The level of cozyness at Suzy’s place falls short of words. We were treated like family and felt right at home the moment we arrived. We walked into a bottle of wine and lots of goodies. The space was cozy. Clean. Spacious. Quiet. We stayed for about a month and half and I wish we booked sooner! Maxie and Nexus (the dogs) were also great hosts. Loved being greeted by them. Super well trained and friendly. The best. Our dog, Rambo also loved it. He especially enjoyed the fireplace. I’d 100000% recommend Suzy’s place. Honestly one of the best people I met. We had paint night and it’s the best souvenir from TBay! Lotsa fun. We’ll forever keep in touch. Super kind, sweet, giving and warm. Always baking yummy goods and leaving them as surprise treats. Even made us dinner one night. She also super accommodating. If you’re in Thunder Bay, I’d say you’d regret not booking this place. Best experience. Thank you for everything. We hope to see you all soon.

Very nice place to stay. Host was very welcoming. The motorized curtains were quite cool! Will stay here again while skiing at Lutsen.

The location was perfect for our trip and the space provided everything we needed.

Dave’s place was very clean, beds were comfortable and kitchen and living area was spacious and warm, heated floors were really nice. Bathroom was big and linens were nice and soft. Minor issue was we only had one parking g space close enough to plug in and it was very cold the first weekend, and the TV channels had no sports channels. Great place and Dave was excellent at communicating with us before during and after our stay.

Cannot say enough good things about this place. It is somewhat small—but it did not feel cramped at all—cozy and smartly designed for optimal space and efficiency. We enjoyed all the lovely art and up north decor. Nice hot shower, comfy beds, the kitchen has everything —simple and easy—fantastic location —and the view of Lake Superior—PRIMO! We skied at Lutsen and it was a 7-10 minute drive. We loved the amenities—the hot tub, sauna, and the small pool— so perfect….the kids loved the ping pong table. We loved playing cards in the living room with the fire going and just felt so at home. We hope to stay here again on our next journey to this amazingly beautiful part of Minnesota. Zach and Abby —you’ve got a real GEM! Thank you for your hospitality!

Fantastic! This was our second visit to this location and we enjoyed it so much that we invited a larger group this time around. Diana’s home is spacious and allowed all 3 couple’s to fit comfortably even on the bunk beds. The common living room and kitchen allowed us to have a single place to congregate while cooking, watching TV and playing board games. The interior is extremely clean and comes with all the cooking amenities, games, shower gel, shampoo, towels, extra blankets, etc., making packing a breeze. Lastly, the best perks of this location are the proximity to the ski hills, winery and our newest discovery of the scenic highway 61 walking trail. While we didn’t get to appreciate the deck or screened in porch during the winter, we very much hope to return again when it’s warmer to take advantage of this space. Thank you!!

What a great spot! Cozy cabin in a beautiful locale, close to Grand Marais and Cascade River. Perfect amount of rustic for those who don’t really do rustic; the toilet was clean and easy, the solar provided plenty of electricity for string lights and a few phone charges (sunny mid-October, for reference, with one rainy day), and we got to put our fire-starting skills to use. Peaceful, secluded, and easy to navigate — great for a weekend away by yourself, as a couple, or, as we did, with another couple that you’re pretty comfortable hunkering down with. Recommend!

Caribou Cove felt at home the minute we stepped in. Very clean, free of clutter and oh, so homey! Everything is so well thought out and easy. Lisa took good care of us even though she was on her own vacation. We had to use WIFI for zoom meetings (great WIFI!) but once those were done, the laptops closed and we went exploring. There is so much to do! We were honored to visit with THE Betsy Bowen at her art gallery in Grand Marais. Sivertson's Gallery never disappoints, either. There is a pair of trumpeter swans on the lake who were inspiring to watch. I plan to return here with my family next year. I highly recommend Caribou Cove but don't tell everyone - I want to get my next vacation time booked, soon! Enjoy!

Private, quiet, relaxing— exactly what we wanted. So many stars!

I LOVED my stay at Loon Lake Lodge. Andrea and Derek are super friendly and helpful, and the entire area is so beautiful and quiet. The pizza and ice cream sandwiches are a fun treat. I started every day with about an hour back and forth between the sauna and the lake, both absolutely perfect. There is a pretty good chance I'll be back next September!

This was our 4th staying at the cabin and we were so glad we came back! We love that they allow dogs! It’s very cozy with everything you need to make meals and is a great home base for Nordic ski adventuring since it’s in between Lutsen and gunflint and right next to pinchushion. It’s also nice to be so close to grand marais if you end up needing to go out for anything.

Our sixth time staying at the adorable cabin! It’s well taken care of and ideally located. Perfect for a cozy weekend away.

This cozy cottage is the most peaceful little hideaway from home! It has everything you need for a short trip. My fiance and I enjoyed our stay with a lake view out of every window. Nice private lot to bring your dog along. It's close to all the must-see spots and the beach across the street is worth a visit.
