This lakefront Airbnb was incredible! The home was not only beautiful but also thoughtfully set up to enjoy everything the lake has to offer. After a full day of cycling and hiking, relaxing in the sauna was just what we needed. The views from the property were amazing, and we had easy access to nearby trails and activities. Every detail was perfect, from the cozy interior to the peaceful setting right by the water. This stay exceeded all our expectations – can’t wait to come back. We’ll bring the boat next time!

This was perfect for our girls weekend! The location was excellent. It’s just a few blocks from a great trail right on the water and just a few blocks from downtown shops and Castle Danger. The kitchen was well-stocked and beds were comfortable. The sauna was also a fun bonus after our morning walks. We will definitely stay again!

This was our second time staying at this location, a sign that we have been very satisfied with the experience. The house is beautiful, the views of the lake are spectacular, the house is located well off the road so that we never heard any traffic noise, and it is a short drive into Grand Marais to cafes, stores, and restaurants. We recommend it highly!

I’ve owned my share of older homes, so I’m aware of the quirks they acquire with age. For an older home with radiator heat, this house was always cozy in the thick of winter. During our stay we experienced an active noisy sump pump that appeared to be frozen as it exited the foundation. The handyman was dispatched to examine the problem, but I think a seasonal thaw was necessary before a fix was possible. The bathrooms are well appointed, beds comfy and the kitchen had enough versatile equipment to make our meals possible. Spacious areas on main floor and second floor to spread out if you are a large group. We used this rental as a base while we went snowshoeing on the Superior Hiking Trail and spent an afternoon dog-sledding. Great fun! A mandatory meal with refreshments at Castle Danger Brewery was enjoyed as well.

Three of us had a wonderful wintery stay in early February. The house was great--cozy and comfortable with an incredibly well stocked kitchen and an epic bathtub! We took advantage of the gorgeous private sauna every single day and even had a bonfire one night at dust. The proximity to Lake Superior is another plus--as soon as you step outside the house you can hear the waves from the shore! Deidra was a wonderful host. She provided so many recommendations for the North Shore and even offered an early check in since the house was not occupied the night before our arrival. The snacks, welcome note and local gifts (wine, cider, maple syrup and pancake mix) made us feel welcome and appreciated. We hope to stay again in the summer when we can spend even more time outside enjoying the lake.

We loved our stay in Lutsen! 6 of us came up to ski in February and the house was less than 10 mins to the resort. The house was very nice and clean- we loved the fireplace, record player, and looking out over Lake Superior. Would definitely stay here again!

Michael was quite responsive to any questions and requests. The space was clean and cozy and quite comfortable. Nice and quiet house and street and within a few minutes driving distance of most amenities. Would stay there again!

Stayed here for Valentine’s Day weekend and it was beautiful and perfect! So clean and so cozy and loved having the whirlpool tub as well! The views are also amazing! Thank you for a spectacular weekend!

Truly a beautiful location with great views. IA very comfortable two story place, with lovely outdoor decks on both floors. Well furnished. Christopher was very helpful in sorting out a heating/cooling issue (cleaners had left the AC on). It was resolved to our satisfaction.

This was a fantastic little place for my daughter and me to stay. It was clean and comfortable, as well as easy to walk to the lakefront and several restaurants. Thanks for a great stay!!

The cottage was perfect for our ladies weekend. There was 5 of us and we slept comfortably. The view of Lake Superior from our big window is the best thing! We woke up to sunrise on the lake and the view was just breathtaking! We did not do much besides hung out in the cottage and talk all weekend long! For the price we paid, we wanted to enjoy the cottage and view as much as possible. It definitely was well worth it!

This is a lovely spot to stay on the peninsula. It’s close to both lakes so you can canoe anywhere. The August long weekend was a little busy on the lake but then it got quiet on Monday. Michael is very friendly and was a great host. All cooking and bbq supplies were available. It was a week to remember for us. Thank you Michael and Julie.

This was the perfect spot for a peaceful stay on the North Shore and right on Lake Superior for a fun getaway. The house was well kept and exactly as expected with the feel of a cabin. The bedrooms were perfect and we loved being able to cook breakfast and enjoy views of the lake everyday. The amenities outside added to the peaceful enjoyment, but we didn’t get to fully utilize them this stay with the snowfall. The neighborhood is lined with cabins and guesthouses, but is really easy to find and super-convenient to Grand Marais, state parks, Lutsen, and other adventures in the area. The house is well-appointed and well-kept giving us the feel of home. As noted in the photos, the shower is quite small, but was just fine for our visit. We loved the convenience of grabbing groceries and visiting the nearby brewery and hanging lakeside to enjoy the calming effect of the Lake Superior waves. We are looking forward to making another visit soon!

Both the cabin and Lutsen were amazing. The cabin was very well built/maintained, clean, and had everything we needed. Lutsen was beautiful and quiet but still had skiing, hiking, and local restaurants/shops. On top of that, Elisabeth was a great host and was very responsive to any questions we had. I would recommend this cabin to anyone!

Gorgeous views & lovely walk to the lake (though the hike back tested my fitness!) the house was clean and comfortable. There was plenty of firewood, which helped us get through a few below zero days.

We loved this home!! Enjoyed sitting down by the dock and relaxing. Home is super comfy and beds are comfortable. Many amenities in the property. Loved the peacefulness of this home and Jen was very responsive and helpful. Great communication.

It’s our 4th year in a row at Rebecca’s place (our grandchildren call it the “adventure cabin.”) Lovely spot, right on Superior, very comfortable, easy access to Grand Marais - all marvelous. Definitely recommend a stay.

Cynthia was very courteous and helpful. She offered another location as the one originally booked was being occupied with "tenters" across the river. She was worried that we wouldn't enjoy the view so she gave us options to relocate without extra charges, what hospitality!
