East Lothian : locations de vacances en maison d'hôtes

We have stayed with Joanne and Scott for two nights. The studio is across the street from the train station. The train will take you to Edinburgh in approximately 20 minutes, which was very convenient. The studio was nice and clean. the town itself is worth checking out, and there are some fantastic restaurants in the neighborhood. if we ever visit Edinburgh again, we will definitely be staying here again.

We were very lucky to spend Christmas and New Year in this fantastic place, it was so beautifully clean, warm, and welcoming. A short walk to the local shops, café and every easy to walk into the city center. We were sad that our time came to an end but definitely will put this accommodation on our list to visit again! Thank you to the hosts!

Beautiful accommodation, absolutely pristine, perfect location if you want to visit Edinburgh but don’t want to drive into the city. Alan was very friendly and helpful with anything you need to know. Would highly recommend. Hope to return again.

The Nook is a fabulous place to stay - it’s private, cozy, bright and well equipped in every way. The beds are super comfortable and really quirky - we LOVED the climb up to the top bunk and the brilliant pull down bed! The views from The Nook over the Forth are spectacular (especially with a cup of tea in bed in the morning!) and its location is perfect for exploring Queensferry, with its quaint cafes, restaurants & harbour. Alison is a lovely host - she was so helpful and accommodating and we loved meeting her husband and the dogs when we arrived. I would highly recommend The Nook - we loved our stay and will definitely be back!

We had an amazing stay. location was beautiful and so close to airport, delighted at how central we were yet so quiet. property stunning and cosy and immaculately clean. host was so accommodating and helpful and friendly. thankyou so much.

This is an absolute gem of an apartment. Beautifully decorated and furnished, in a lovely location with parks and a bar/restaurant within easy walking distance. The apartment was well equipped with everything you’d need for a short stay, and my wife was so impressed with the hair dryer she is looking to order one online as I type this review! The hot tub was great and the enclosed, private back garden was ideal for us as we had our dog with us. Treats for us (and the dog) were a nice touch too. Mark was a great host, who was easy to communicate with for any questions and recommendations

We loved our stay at The Woodhouse! It is a Beautifully designed bijou space with everything you need - perfect for a couple. Susan was a helpful and welcoming host and very responsive to any questions we had. We would certainly consider another visit. St.Abbs is an extremely scenic, quaint harbour side village, a perfect base for long walks up to the headland with panoramic views to be found, or a short wander along to coastal path to sandy Coldingham bay. The local cafes are recommended too.

This is such a lovely little place in a fabulous location in Edinburgh. The Braid Hills are a lovely place to go for a walk. It’s close enough to shops and the buses into the city centre whilst also having the peacefulness away from the hustle and bustle. The house itself has everything you need, it was lovely and warm and very comfy. I was there alone and felt very safe. Janet was accommodating and helpful at all times. Definitely recommend 🙂

This is such a beautiful and peaceful place nestled within a secluded residential area, and yet only around 10 minutes' walk from the Meadows. The house had the magical combination of being spotlessly clean and cosy, with lots of details to make you feel right at home. The design and furnishing of the house was really lovely, too, with plenty of space and storage. I particularly loved the window seat for reading in the corner. Howard and Kathleen were excellent hosts, with super-fast and friendly communication and providing some lovely food and drink as a welcoming gift. I had a fabulous week's stay and hope to be back!

We had a great 3 nights at Jenny's, everything is as described. We loved all the animals around, 3 cats, a dog and of course the horses. You have everything in there that you need and the heaters do a really good job of warming up the space. We took the train into Edinburgh and parked up at West Calder train station (free parking), it was £18 for 2 people (return). A welcome break from England's awful train services! So I'd recommend getting into Edinburgh this way if that's what you want to do. We also got a taxi in at night to Edinburgh which was of course way more expensive but worth it for the meal we had at Divino Enoteca, which I'd reccomend. We would definitely come back again!

This studio is perfect for a breakaway trip to explore Edinburgh. The location is quiet and off the Main Street.However it is close to local shops and a buzzy community. There is an excellent transport system and the local buses run a constant service so going into the very heart of Edinburgh to explore is easy. The studio is immaculate and has been well thought out. I cannot recommend it enough Mairi is an excellent hostess. It is delightful and we would definitely try to stay there again when we return to Edinburgh

Jane’s place is so good for relaxing, the sauna and hot tub are just what we need as a treat for the end of the year. The cabin is exactly how the photos show. It is comfy, clean and has everything we need. Jane is so nice, she explained everything clearly and happy to help when needed. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay :)

Maria is simply a delight. The place is clean, updated, quiet and cozy. The unit is on the ground level facing a car park making it very convenient to load/unload a car before heading into the city.

The room was tidy and furnished with antiques. A very tastefully Victorian house with all modern facilities. We had only time for one night, it would be a place for a longer stay. The house is central to the Downtown of Dumfernline and a good place for visiting Edinburgh. The Host Michael is very friendly and had a lot of tips for visiting the town. Perfect!

Super Comfy, Peaceful, Clean. Luxury for hikers/walkers. Excellent host really helpful. Great location. I have regular events happening nearby and will be booking to stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! The summerhouse was super cosy and Jessica took great care of us and was very responsive. The location was fantastic as well, it’s a quiet area but the city centre was easily reachable on foot. We‘d recommend Jessica’s place to anyone and will definitely be back in the future! 😊
