We had the best time staying at Claire’s place. She was brilliant from initial booking to checking in, the house felt like home. Very cosy and had everything you could possibly need for 14 adults. Will 100% be returning!

Came up for my birthday with a couple of friends and we had a wonderful time. The place is huge and decorated beautifully, the hot tub was lovely and well kept and the games room was great fun :)

This was our second stay at Claudia's House and has been perfect for our family get together. The house is so clean, warm and welcoming and we love the extra touches eg putting up a Christmas tree which made it extra special. (we all loved the hot chocolate and coffee machines too!!) would highly recommend.

We had a lovely Christmas week in this beautiful house, which very quickly felt like home for us! Beautiful spacious house in a fabulous little town! The Melbourne arms was lovely too for a special birthday meal. Lots of space for our little boy to play with his presents off Santa! I would definitely recommend, thanks for allowing us to stay in your wonderful home xx

We have just returned home from Snowdrop Cottage. All I can say is gorgeous. We were wowed by the high standards of decoration. The attention to detail right through the cottage was amazing. Everything has been thoroughly thought through. The village itself is beautiful and a trip (whether to eat in or take away) to Dogh is highly recommended. We had a fantastic time and loved the hot tub too.

Great place to stay. Stone thrower from the city centre and walkable so no need for taxis. House was in pristine condition and had everything we needed. Only downfall was parking. We had to park a few streets away as there was no space on the road. I guess we just didn’t get lucky. Would recommend host and house to friends and would stay again.

We had an amazing day with Julie, she was very helpful. The house was in a perfect location and everything was set out very nicely. She was very helpful at pointing us in the correct direction of things to do, and how things work in and around the house. She was very polite and always happy to help you and answer your questions. I couldn’t have asked for a better host! I can’t wait to return for another break away. It is just what we all needed. Thanks A,N,B,C

It’s just what it says in the description. Photos are accurate. It’s warm and clean and the bed is ok. Make sure you take food with you. There is a small shop but it doesn’t stock much. Good for the price.

Sue was a wonderful host from the moment we booked - great at communicating, friendly and accommodating to our needs during our stay. Sue’s place made a great base for exploring York - close to the park and ride but with the peace of a farm setting. Would highly recommend.

Absolutely loved our stay here. We got sucked in by the pictures which was about 2 hours away from where we were originally looking to stay and I’m glad we did. Peter is a lovely host and recommended a lovely restaurant. Would highly recommend staying here. Lovely location and accommodation.

Excellent host and location. Extremely clean and looked after place. Looking forward to have another stay there and would recommend to anyone.

Can’t recommend darling woods of may enough. Such a great little get away set in a great quiet location. Being able to walk through the woods and see the alpacas was a bonus. At the end of the evening was able to relax in the hot tub just watching the stars was my personal highlight. If you’re looking to get away from the rat race I would highly recommend. 5* from us thank you.

Amazing break away. Peaceful setting, stunning views. A great place to switch off and relax. Nick was a great host from start to finish. Nothing was too much trouble. Definitely recommend the breakfast box.

Stunning little cabin, the bed was so comfy, and the rustic lay out of the cabin just made everything feel cosy, and the warm lighting with the copper fittings too! The fire pit was nice addition to sit around and toast marshmallows! We will definitely be retuning the future! Such a peaceful location! Very private and homely!

Everything about the cabin and shower rooms has been done so well and kept super clean. Location is great, in between York centre and LNER stadium. Lovely and peaceful and the animals are an added bonus. Peter is super friendly and a great host ☺️
