Stayed for a weekend with some friends and we had a great time. The hosts were very friendly and the lodge was very clean and tidy! We also appreciated the complementary breakfast and being surrounded by all the animals was definitely the highlight.

We had a lovely relaxing stay here. It felt like a really cozy home with the added benefit of the hot tub as well. Lovely walks on the door step and walkable to a few different pubs for drinks and/or dinner. Fully equipped kitchen was handy too. Easy to find and good parking. Megan was also very responsive.

We had a wonderful family gathering at Tims’ place over xmas. Excellent location, close to Cranbrook and Tenterden. Comfortable sleeping for 12 adults. Loved the two downstairs double rooms with ensuite bathrooms. Great for elderly guests. Large well equipped kitchen for preparing meals. Great grounds with plenty of room for kids and dogs to run. Our 3 year old loved the trampoline. Log fired hot tub was fun but needed some attention to keep it up. Tim was responsive and his nearby staff were readily available to help. An excellent stay for large groups with young children and pets.

Wendy-Jane was an exceptional host, her home was beautiful and very cozy, with a gorgeous and very friendly cat. We loved the surroundings and the scenery. Wendy had a stunning selection of books on her shelves and CDs in her collection. The home was perfect for us, and we would love to return. The hot tub is an great addition and it was lovely to chill out in at the end of the day. There's lots to do in the surrounding area with a very charming in right opposite the house and another pub down the road with an abadondoned castle next door. And a short drive from both Hastings and Eastbourne made for a perfect weekend get away!!

We loved our stay at the house. Our highlight of the stay was watching a movie on the massive projector screen and making use of the hot tub. Would thoroughly recommend.

Just want to say thank you to Jo for a lovely 1 night stay. The kids room was a dream and our bed was so comfy. The hot tub already for when we arrived which was enjoyed. Great the TV had Netflix etc for us to use as had nibbles and enjoyed a family film together before the kids were off again into The Den. The kids did not want to leave so would have been lovely if the check in was a hour before 3.00 and checkout was 1 hour later at 11.00 as we were only there one night. But no faults just a fun, restful stay.

Claudia’s place was exactly as described. A warm, relaxing and peaceful spot! The host was extremely welcoming and gave excellent recommendations. The breakfast at the onsite cafe was also a brilliant way to start your day.

We recently had the pleasure of staying in a beautiful lakeside cabin, and it was everything we could have hoped for and more. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the peaceful surroundings and the stunning view of the lake. The cabin itself was immaculately presented, with tasteful decor that created a cosy yet stylish atmosphere. One of the highlights was the outdoor hot tub, which was perfectly positioned to take in the serene lake views. Whether it was enjoying a morning coffee on the deck or unwinding in the evening under the stars, it added such a special touch to the stay. The cabin was also well-equipped with everything we needed. The location was ideal for a relaxing getaway!

Andrew is the most wonderful host communication was excellent always got back to us straight away. The Log Cabin was exactly as you see in the photos if not better. Extremely clean and spacious, such a relaxing stay we really didn’t want to leave even our dog didn’t want to go home 😂

Great escape from busy life with an amazing location. Was very homely and my children loved it.

Booked as a birthday night away for some peace, quiet and relaxation, we were not disappointed as the accommodation, location and overall surrounding area was simply beautiful. Mike was extremely helpful and responsive, made the trip a breeze from start to finish. Will definitely be back.

Such a stunning spot. The view out over the valley is beautiful. The lovely Alfriston is a 5 minute walk away with delicious pubs and restaurants. Great walks directly from the lodge and no need to get in your car. Hot tub was great once we got it up to temperature with a bit of help from Mandy which was appreciated! Really recommend and we’d love to return one day.

Everything was just perfect, Katie was amazing. Always there if we had any problems and was always quick to solve them. It was so relaxing and peaceful. Exactly what we needed. We loved the visits from the cutest doggy ever!! She loves a belly rub:). We felt right at home and had everything we needed. Perfect. Will definitely be back when it warms up a bit.
