Beautiful little shepherd's hut in a lovely area - a perfect countryside getaway for the weekend (or longer). Huts were clean and really well insulated - would stay cozy in all weathers. Kellie was the perfect host and really helpful - would highly recommend!

molly dishwasher is in an absolutely stunning location the pictures don't do justice to how stunning this place is your surrounded by the most beautiful views in the most peaceful location, me and my family had the most amazing 2 nights staying here and the little personal touches added on top just make it that much more special, moppy is an amazing host and let the boys help feed the animals on the last night which they absolutely loved, there is another hut on site but you cant see them so you have amazing privacy. I can see why lots of people who stay here are on there 7th visit as its a place you'll want to re visit after staying. we will defiantly be back soon, thank you for an amazing stay.

My husband and I had a great stay at the Shepherds Hut. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, and relaxed with a nice Barbeque ( which was provided!). The highlight was lighting the fire pit in the evening and huddling around the flames. Kellie was super helpful, and the kitchen/ bathroom had everything we needed. We would love to come back!

I would recommend skylark to anyone looking for some peace. I went alone. I felt completely safe. I knew the farm house was close by but I also had complete privacy so i was able to fully relax. Having the fire pit was wonderful. I used it every evening and sat under the stars. I loved having my own kitchen and bathroom. Moppy was always responsive. I needed more logs and they arrived promptly. She left plenty of food in the fridge. Eggs. Bacon. Sausages. Croissant. Muesli.Milk. Butter. Good coffee etc. I didn't want fro anything at all. Moppy even took me to the train station on my return. A lovely woman and a lovely family.Thanks, Moppy

I had a wonderful stay at Christina's place. The Shepards hut was super cozy and comfertable, i could even watch bunnys running over the field while looking out of the window. Christina was really friendly and caring, which made me feel at Home right away. I would love to stay there again!

More than I could ever have dreamt it to be. Peter seems a lovely chap and truly lives in a lovely part of the country. There are many sublime walks nearby (I’d recommend walking from the beacon up towards Alfriston, and following the coast from the Seven Sisters back to Seaford before training it back). There is also a great is pub in the village, and locals are beyond friendly. The hut itself is so peaceful- with no sound or noise pollution, I truly felt I was in communion with nature. I was grateful for the wood burner stacked with logs and kindling after a long day’s ramble; I also appreciate the Robert MacFarlane amongst other works on the bookshelf. All in all a magical experience and a self-gratifying birthday adventure to remember for me. I will be back very soon I am sure. Thanks Peter.

Lovely little oasis in the quiet beautiful countryside. A few very welcoming country pubs nearby by car or if a keen walker via some lovely country footpaths. Kellie was very accommodating, welcoming and friendly. The little Shepherd hut was immaculate.

We had a really fantastic two night stay! The whole place is really beautiful, magical and peaceful. The Gypsy Wagon is stunning. The wild spa area is like entering a land of pixies and fairies! The hot tub under the trees makes your stresses melt away. I would thoroughly recommend this place to anyone wanting to disconnect (from work!) and connect with nature. 🌳❤️🌳

What a fantastic place to say. This Shepherds Hut is definitely luxury and Andrew a perfect host. We loved our two night getaway and particularly loved the hot tub! The sheep in the next field had had their lambs, who were very entertaining, who needs a TV! Loved it and would recommend to everyone.

We had such a lovely cosy stay here for a last minute Valentine’s weekend getaway. The shepherdess hut was gorgeous, beautifully designed and thought out, spotlessly clean and just super cosy and warm. We did a bbq in the evening which was a lovely addition. We had a great nights sleep and Rachel was so helpful with everything. Will be recommending to my parents to stay :)

THE NEST is a gorgeous little hideaway, with absolutely everything you would need wrapped up in a beautiful and stylish bow. It has been lovingly decorated with a luxurious feel, with plenty of blankets and cushions, various options of seating inside and out, and games and plentiful art supplies for passing the evenings in front of the fire. Nicky is lovely; a truly beautiful soul. Accommodating doesn't nearly cover it - they took every consideration to make sure we had the best stay we could. We left feeling like we'd been away to stay with friends. The scenic surrounding area was perfectly still, and completely dark after sunset, with only the occasional inquiring pheasant to break the silence. We walked, foraged, picked mushrooms, played scrabble and thoroughly enjoyed our little peaceful retreat away from work, the traffic, and the command of electronic devices. A marvellous place to stay: the accommodation was spotless and the facilities throughout exceeded our expectations with high-end fixtures and fittings. A lovely "welcome hamper" was waiting for us and it was such a relaxing break, it was sad to leave. A quick game of tennis before we drove away was a unique, if exhausting way to remember our stay! Yes, the bath was as awesome as it looked in the photos and there was lashing of HOT water to match. The fire pit was a great outdoor gathering place, whilst the indoor log burner was really cosy (although the electric underfloor heating was an easy option in the mornings.) The bed was comfy and the hut itself was beautifully made, with lots of oak finishing touches. Although not the cheapest of huts, it was worth every penny, and we were so glad we selected this destination: we hope to return! Highly recommended.

We booked a last minute night away and wished we could have stayed longer! Everything was perfect, lots of attention to detail, immaculately furnished, with everything you could need. It’s very private and secluded, with nothing else in site other than the fields. It’s a very beautiful place and we loved the fire pit. Thank you for a great stay and your excellent hosting!

The hut exceeded our expectations. Clare went above and beyond to ensure our stay was special. It was the perfect spot for a night away with our dog who enjoyed as much as we did.

We loved staying here! The surroundings here stunning and it felt very private and peaceful. The place was spotless and very well stocked, there were lovely thoughtful touches. Lucy was very helpful and welcoming. Would highly recommend :-)

I would highly recommend this shepherd hut for a time out break of peace and tranquility. It is totally private tucked away behind the hedgerows near a quaint little smallholding of sheep with their lambs (very cute) and some playful piglets and free range chickens. The hut oozes character and charm, and has been sympathetically decorated throughout to a high standard. The double bed was exceptionally comfortable, and the kitchen was well equipped with all the utensils you may need. The shower was lovely and hot and all you needed was provided. The environmental compost toilet was awesome and very well thought out. We walked up the road to the cock Inn with the dog and enjoyed a lovely meal. I organised for some eggs and sausages for our breakfast to be dropped at the hut for an extra small charge. They were delicious! The weather was kind to us and we celebrated our 28th wedding anniversary under the stars by the complimentary fire pit. It really was a fabulous experience. Thank you.

Incredible stat thank you to Vicki and Miles, really had an amazing time and detox from the world. Beautiful scenery with lovely walks, a perfectly equipped off grid shepherds hut. The hot tub was wonderful and not forgetting the delicious breakfast, they catered perfectly for a meat eater and vegetarian with wonderful ingredients. Perfect location where you can really feel completely at peace. Thank you again, p.s the defender transportation was awesome and a lovely touch. Will definitely be back!!!

I had such a great stay at the Hive, it's perfect for a countryside escape. The location is just perfect with views of fields and trees from every window! It was so quiet and peaceful and I loved sitting out on the balcony enjoying the sunshine and sitting by the firepit reading my book. I took my reactive dog with me and it was the most relaxed I've ever seen him in any place we have stayed! You can walk to Rye and Winchelsea stations through beautiful fields and the Plough pub (with a lovely beer garden) is just 5 minutes away. I had a few questions when I first arrived and Johnny came over quickly to answer them all in person and was really helpful. The only problem with my stay was that it was too short - I'll be booking longer next time! 100% recommend it!

We booked fairly last min to enjoy the sunshine forecasted for our stay - and we were absolutely thrilled! The cabin very cute inside with lovely attention to detail. Super cosy and the surrounding setting is beautiful! We stayed with our dog and loved how secluded it is - plenty of fields to go for a wander. We loved cooking outside too! We drove down from South London, so was super easy to get too and just the perfect relaxed weekend. I'm sure we'll visit again - would highly recommend! We had an amazing stay at Tracys, the setting was beautiful, private and so peaceful. The hot tub was so relaxing and we were able to star gaze! The bed was super comfy and the bed linen was so soft had such a good night sleep. There were some lovely personal touches including a plaque that Tracy had made, marshmellows for roasting and hot chocolate! The decor was really welcoming and the wood burner kept the place so warm. There are ample places to enjoy the stunning views and you are not overlooked at all. Thank you for a very memorable stay.
