We really enjoyed Driftwood. A perfect little house in a perfect location to get straight on to the beach. It fitted 4 of us and our dog very comfortably. We really couldn't fault it. The property was clean, had everything you could need, and the Host, Simone was extremely responsive and helpful. If you're wondering which one to book in the area, then wonder no more. This is the one!

Really enjoyed our stay. Comfortable, nice and warm, and exactly as listed. A quiet location and dog friendly. Thoughtful host who left a little welcome basket of bits and had good communication. We intend to rebook next time we’re back in Brighton.

The house is amazing, so beautiful. At this time of year it was very peaceful too. The space was perfect for us and our young children. Within walking distance to the beach and a well stocked shop.

What a beautiful house - even better than the pictures. Everything was perfect for our girls weekend away. We had a bedroom each which was a luxury. Tracy met us at the property to let us in but left us to our own devices. She’d been very responsive so know that we would have been able to contact her if we’d needed to, but everything was as described so we had no issues whatsoever. We enjoyed the fires in both the lounge and dining room which had been set up by Mark and Tracy in advance. Comfy beds, lovely neutral uncluttered spaces. All in all just a fab place. 15 min walk into the heart of St Leonard’s which has some great shops and restaurants.

We had a fabulous stay at Barefoot. The house was terrific - great set up inside, extremely clean and comfortable and with all we needed (and more) for a perfect few days at the beach. The location is amazing - literally right on the beach, nestled amongst beautiful dunes which the kids adored. And being able to step right onto the sand was glorious. Mark was extremely helpful with all we needed and also local recommendations - communication always v quick and easy. Thoroughly recommend staying at Barefoot! We are sure to be back!

We stayed here with a good of friends for a get together and it was the perfect location to meet and chat. It’s a lovely cosy home close to the sea. Andrea was super helpful. Thank you!

We booked a very last minute trip to Brighton and Gabby kindly accommodated us. She was super helpful prior to booking and allowed us to drop off our bags and park the car before check-in, which was a huge help. After a fun day on the pier we arrived back at Gabby's cottage to find milk, bread and butter waiting for us. The house was spotlessly clean and it smelled amazing - we loved the decor too, especially all the plants! We all slept soundly as the beds were so comfortable and it was really peaceful and cosy inside. The location was ideal for us and an easy walk to the seafront. Gabby was a fantastic host - very responsive, flexible and helpful. We would love to spend more time at this beautiful Airbnb and plan to return in the future.

Such a clean well equipment holiday home. Very comfortable, home from home surroundings, highly recommend.

Fabulous week, swallows nest cottage was lovely and the swimming pool was great, we were the only ones in there each time. Chris even opened the pool early for us which was much appreciated. Used the steam room too and the fabulous hot tub - had fabulous walks with our two spaniels, along the coast to Firehills was our favourite. The Cove pub was amazing, very dog friendly, warm (log fire) and welcoming, food fantastic. All in all a really lovely week. Chris and Erik very ready to help but totally happy to leave you to enjoy their lovely gardens etc. We’ll be back! Thank you Chris and Erik

We had a really lovely three night stay at the Barn House. beds were comfy, showers were great, kitchen was big and very well equipped....The games room was fabulous, if the weather had been bad we would have used it more, but as the weather was sunny we took advantage of the beautiful countryside, and had a lovely walk into Battle, about 40 minutes cross country. Sadly it was a bit cold for the swimming pond, (imho!) we weren't brave enough to have a dip, maybe when the weather warms up a bit!. Lounge area was more than ample with a huge comfy sofa....All in all, a wonderful, peaceful place, perfect for a group of friends, or family. James lives in the main house, and was available if needed, but we still felt very private. We enjoyed time in the jacuzzi looking at the stars. I highly recommend, and am so glad I chose it for my birthday celebration weekend!

Excellent property. Owners were really nice. Can’t wait to go again when the pool is open. Went to a local pub called Coach & horses, excellent food there. We took our dog and owners kindly asked if we kept her on the lead when in garden of property as they have sheep but there’s a massive field with a woodland walk out back so was fine to let off the lead then. Barn is exactly as described. There’s some good little board games there and our kids got a bit obsessed with cluedo. Was expecting to be chilly as it’s a barn but the underfloor heating makes it really warm and cosy. Will definitely come back.

We hadden 4 fantastische dagen in het huisje van Caroline. De kinderen waren heel gelukkig met de chocolaatjes en zelf was ik helemaal in de wolken met alle prachtige bloemen die werkelijk overal in het huis stonden! De locatie was zalig rustig en een goeie uitvalsbasis voor een aantal daguitstappen. We sliepen als roosjes in de comfortabele bedden en werden elke ochtend wakker met het gefluit van de vogeltjes. Het aanwezige ontbijt was de kers op de taart want zo konden we rustig aankomen zonder al direct te denken aan de volgende ochtend. We raden een verblijf dan ook zeker aan! 😊

This house is absolutely fantastic. Our group of 9 including a teen and two 9-year-olds stayed very comfortably for a week with a typically English mix of weather and the house accommodated us amply. The spaces were all individual, relaxing and full of beautiful furniture and art, we loved the characterful high-ceilinged garden room and the sitting room big enough for all 9 of us to play games. All the first floor bedrooms were large with comfortable beds and generous storage, and the second floor attic with two bedrooms and a relaxing space between was a great little world away. The rambling garden and the tennis court, trampoline, warm pool and table tennis were a real hit with our group. Locally there was something for everyone, highlights including great walks from the house along the river and up onto the spine of the South Downs, and garden visits to High Beeches and Sussex Prairie Gardens. Enzo and Lucy are well deserved superhosts, we would return in a heartbeat.

We have just returned from a 4 day break at Shirley's caravan and I cannot rate it or her and Karl enough! A lovely welcome basket awaited us with some milk and a great selection of teas and coffee. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable and probably the most responsive host I've every encountered. I would give ten stars if I could!

Nice cosy home. Basement kitchen and living area was a nice space to retreat to at the end of the day - perfect location for us, easy walk to the north lanes - fantastic Japanese/korean place to eat O’shio a few minutes walk away and couple of pubs at the end of the street. We visited in Feb so was cold and didn’t use the outdoor space - but would have made a nice spot to chill out in when warmer - Mathew was good, quick to respond with info etc - check-in etc all very nice easy. Would stay again next time we back in the uk/brighton!

We were most impressed with the beautiful furnishings and excellent kitchen and bathroom in the loft. Although it is compact, the loft is very well equipped and has been newly refurbished. The cotton bedsheets and fluffy towels were especially appreciated. Amanda had provided some shortbread on arrival and a fine selection of teas. When I message her to say I needed a magnifying mirror, she appeared with one, in the blink of an eye! The Jolly Sportsman is a short walk away but a torch is provided for your stroll back along the country lane. Thank you for a very comfortable and peaceful stay Amanda.

This was our second stay at Maria's 70's caravan. Very cosy with beautiful views of the field opposite, this time with grazing sheep! Maria and Matt are great hosts. Highly recommend.

Very spacious house! Larger than expected and great for dog owners. Location is incredible and local bakery and pub (Castle Inn) in walking distance and we'll worth a visit or two! 2 minute walk to beach to watch sunrise and sunset. Great communication and value for money. Thank you

We spent a wonderful weekend here - it’s a perfect spot and so cosy and comfortable. The location couldn’t be better - 2 minutes walk to the beach and beautiful walks in the nature reserve and a short drive to Rye. The house is ideal - really well equipped and very warm and welcoming when we arrived on a dark March evening. Everything really comfortable (bed, pillows, sofa) with a great shower and kitchen has everything you could need, plus lovely welcome treats! Rebecca and family were so welcoming and helpful, it was a pleasure to meet you all (and the ponies!). We’d love to stay again.

Fabulous place to stay right by the beach and not too far from Rye. The house had everything we needed to cook in and was a perfect layout for an extended family to relax and socialise. The garden was a good size with a lovely hammock and table tennis table too. We all had a great time and would highly recommend this as a place to stay. Georgina was a good communicator and made sure we had everything we needed. Thank you

A lovely little retreat with a fantastic secure garden for our dog. The kitchen was very well equipped with supplies and the bathroom also had ample products. Very comfortable bed! The instructions were easy on how to find it. Jon greeted and did a tour with lots of information on the local area which was great. The shower was amazing! Small kitchen/dining/lounge area but very comfortable and suited us fine for our short stay.

We had a great weekend at baggies. Well worth the money. Would recommend to others. They were very hospitable hosts and at hand if needed but did not disturb us once. Thanks for organising the lovely sunny weather!
