We just got back from a lovely stay at the Shepard's hut , the accommodation was lovely and peaceful just what we needed, we took our 7 month old with us and Andrew was so accommodating and helpful we had everything we needed and more, the place was cozy, but the space was very well thought out and my little baby loved just looking around and out the windows especially when he saw the sheep, the hot tub made it extra special , very private and to sit in there and watch the sunset was so beautiful, it really is a place where you can switch off , I have already highly recommended this place to all my friend as they have asked after seeing all the picture , it truly is a place to reset and recharge ❤️

Beautiful little shepherd's hut in a lovely area - a perfect countryside getaway for the weekend (or longer). Huts were clean and really well insulated - would stay cozy in all weathers. Kellie was the perfect host and really helpful - would highly recommend!

molly dishwasher is in an absolutely stunning location the pictures don't do justice to how stunning this place is your surrounded by the most beautiful views in the most peaceful location, me and my family had the most amazing 2 nights staying here and the little personal touches added on top just make it that much more special, moppy is an amazing host and let the boys help feed the animals on the last night which they absolutely loved, there is another hut on site but you cant see them so you have amazing privacy. I can see why lots of people who stay here are on there 7th visit as its a place you'll want to re visit after staying. we will defiantly be back soon, thank you for an amazing stay.

My husband and I had a great stay at the Shepherds Hut. We enjoyed the peace and quiet, and relaxed with a nice Barbeque ( which was provided!). The highlight was lighting the fire pit in the evening and huddling around the flames. Kellie was super helpful, and the kitchen/ bathroom had everything we needed. We would love to come back!

I would recommend skylark to anyone looking for some peace. I went alone. I felt completely safe. I knew the farm house was close by but I also had complete privacy so i was able to fully relax. Having the fire pit was wonderful. I used it every evening and sat under the stars. I loved having my own kitchen and bathroom. Moppy was always responsive. I needed more logs and they arrived promptly. She left plenty of food in the fridge. Eggs. Bacon. Sausages. Croissant. Muesli.Milk. Butter. Good coffee etc. I didn't want fro anything at all. Moppy even took me to the train station on my return. A lovely woman and a lovely family.Thanks, Moppy

Lovely little oasis in the quiet beautiful countryside. A few very welcoming country pubs nearby by car or if a keen walker via some lovely country footpaths. Kellie was very accommodating, welcoming and friendly. The little Shepherd hut was immaculate.

What a find! The location is simply breathtaking! Surrounded by nature of all kinds, with only the sounds of the trees and the water gently lapping, this place really is a relaxing and beautiful haven. The hut and terrace was great, so cosy and had everything you could possibly need. The fire pit and bbq are a great addition, as are the sun loungers. Geri was accommodating and kind in every way, a fabulous host. Can’t recommend this place enough!

Lovely host - Kate was so helpful and friendly. Lovely to stay somewhere so private and in such a beautiful setting! We had a lovely, restful weekend here.

Keeley's showmans wagon is a truly amazing place to stay. She has attended to every detail to make it gorgeous and authentic and comfortable. We loved the place,the setting, the hospitality. We recommend it highly and will definitely go back.

This was a last minute break, away from Grandparent duties. We were a bit concerned whether we would be warm enough as the weather has turned colder over the last week, but fear not, the hut wood burner is excellent and kept us warm all night. The views from the hut are stunning and the cloudless sky on the first night gave an amazing view of the stars as there is no light pollution from streetlights, etc. The kitchen facilities allowed us to prepare our own food, so we did not get a chance to try out the local pub. This was just the kind of peaceful break we were looking for, and we returned home feeling very relaxed.

We were taken in an OG Land Rover to our hut once we parked up which was sweet of them. Vicki''s husband was lovely and gave great recommendations. breakfast was lovely. they were so attentive. would 100% do it again! the Long Man brewery is great, the Cricketers Arms did a good roast too!

Fitted our needs perfectly. Really cozy stay and within walking distance of the high street. Local pubs and restaurants are very nice too.

Lovely little place in the centre of Alfriston. Well equipped and nicely decorated. Good WiFi and even some cards! Breakfast was nice and Bridget helpful throughout.

We had a fantastic stay—peaceful early mornings filled with bird song, including owl calls at 5am (which must be local but didn’t spot) and sightings of buzzards, kestrels, and some others. The double shepherd’s hut is a great idea - perfect balance of space and intimacy. Wish we’d stayed longer! McCanns Brewery is a short walk away and a lively place at the weekend.

What a beautiful little spot in the countryside. The cabin itself was beautiful so cosy and for a small space quite roomy too! Has everything you need even a little honesty bar with drinks and snacks. We have four dogs (big dogs) and they were very well catered for too, treats on arrival and a dog bed for them! The main event is the outside space. We really struggle with finding somewhere that allows us to have a peaceful break with our girls but this space is amazing. The communication was second to non and the hosts were lovely too. We’d love to be back in the future 🐕❤️

We had such a lovely cosy stay here for a last minute Valentine’s weekend getaway. The shepherdess hut was gorgeous, beautifully designed and thought out, spotlessly clean and just super cosy and warm. We did a bbq in the evening which was a lovely addition. We had a great nights sleep and Rachel was so helpful with everything. Will be recommending to my parents to stay :)

Peaceful weekend away in a well equiped and cosy hut! The fire pit outside was great in the evening and the bed was really conformatable.

THE NEST is a gorgeous little hideaway, with absolutely everything you would need wrapped up in a beautiful and stylish bow. It has been lovingly decorated with a luxurious feel, with plenty of blankets and cushions, various options of seating inside and out, and games and plentiful art supplies for passing the evenings in front of the fire. Nicky is lovely; a truly beautiful soul. Accommodating doesn't nearly cover it - they took every consideration to make sure we had the best stay we could. We left feeling like we'd been away to stay with friends. The scenic surrounding area was perfectly still, and completely dark after sunset, with only the occasional inquiring pheasant to break the silence. We walked, foraged, picked mushrooms, played scrabble and thoroughly enjoyed our little peaceful retreat away from work, the traffic, and the command of electronic devices.
