This is one of those places you want to write an incredible review for - the review it deserves but you don’t want the secret to get out so it doesn’t book out for next time. I cannot fault this place! Waking up for an early morning paddle through the canals to the creek or the surf club for coffee followed by an afternoon by the pool - a perfect day! & if you fish even better - you can enjoy that straight off the pontoon. Absolute bonus - dog friendly with a fully fenced huge yard. Already looking at the next available dates. Thanks Matt for sharing your incredible home & for exceptional communication through the process. This one’s a 10/10 🫶🏼

Oggy’s Place is delightful - scrupulously clean, comfortably old school, and full of thoughtful and welcoming touches. Gorgeous front and back gardens with so many seating options. Elizabeth was was very friendly and responsive in all communications. The street was so quiet, you could hear the surf at night.

We had the most wonderful holiday at this beautiful house! It was absolutely perfect for our weekend getaway, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The house was perfect size, amazing layout, stylish, and had everything we needed. Danielle, the host, was incredible—her thoughtful extra touches made all the difference and truly made us feel at home. We had an amazing time and will definitely be returning! Highly recommend!

Anneke's home is the perfect place for a family or for a group of friends wanting to have a lovely relaxing break. The house is well equipped with everything you could possibly want or need. From the well appointed kitchen, comfy living and bedrooms to all the items needed for activities on land and in the creek. Games, toys, SUPs , kayaks, pool noodles, bikes, sport sets and the list goes on. With shops, pizza and tavern across the road and town a short walk away, Anneke's house ticks all the boxes.

We had a great stay at Mark and Sandra’s place. The house is very nice and spacious. The description, photos and amenities in the listing are accurate. The kitchen was amazing, there were plenty of pots and pans and kitchen stuff so we had no issues when we prepared our meals. Their place has a very homey ambience. Mark has been very responsive to queries and concerns. We had an issue with the screen door during check in but Mark was able to sort it out asap. We had a very nice stay at their place. We highly recommend their place. Thank you Mark and Sandra for being great hosts!

The most beautiful lake house. Incredible view, easy access to the lake and a gorgeous, large house. Great for a big group to all have their own space. Host was incredible too - flexible and great recommendations.

We loved our peaceful and quiet stay by the river and enjoyed getting our kayaks out on the river from the private jetty. Jo's communication was excellent and the house had everything that you would need. Views of the river were beautiful and we loved our morning coffee on the verandah watching the sunrise. We had a couple of 40 degree days during our stay and the aircon in both the lounge and bedroom worked perfectly. Mannum is only a couple of kms away so a quick drive to get into town where we enjoyed lunch by the water in the beer garden of the Pretoria Hotel - worth a visit.

Excellent river location and everything you need for a weekend away with friends, we never left as the house had everything from games to well equipped kitchen...all the little extras when you want to holiday with friends.

Lovely little cottage. Great selection of teas and coffee and gorgeous home made biscuits, shower had fantastic water pressure and the bed was super comfy. We only stayed a night but would be a lovely quiet spot to chill out for a couple of days.

The place was beautiful. There is so much to do and enjoy. Ashley has an amazing place on the lake with the beach only a bike ride away.

My wife and I had a great time. The highlight was the waterfront view. Spent a good deal of time reading on deck overlooking Lake Macquarie—so good! And kayaks were a nice bonus. A few things to consider: if you like running, you may need to drive 5-15mins to a good running spot nearby (I really enjoyed driving to Speers Point and running there). Also—the cottage is essentially one big room (plus a laundry and bathroom), so it can be tricky for one person to go to sleep while the other stays up. Overall though we had a fantastic time—would recommend!

We had an amazing stay at Riverdance in Nabiac! It’s the perfect place for nature lovers, surrounded by the soothing sounds of birds from morning till evening. The hosts were absolutely wonderful. Kerrie, the co-host, surprised us with a delicious homemade cake for our anniversary, which made our stay even more special. Eamonn was incredibly helpful—he set up the firewood for us, guided us around the property, and made sure we had everything we needed. The property itself is a paradise for animal lovers. They have the cutest dogs, playful goats (including an adorable baby goat!), and a beautiful horse. Guests are welcome to feed them, which was such a lovely experience. Everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay is provided. With breathtaking views, kind-hearted hosts, and the beauty of nature all around, Riverdance is truly a hidden gem. Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway!!

We had an amazing stay! The view is stunning from the deck where we spent most of our time. Had a refreshing swim off the private jetty. The fire pit was so much fun. The cottage was cozy and clean with fly screens to keep the mozzies out. It had everything we needed for the weekend. Howard was a very helpful host and arranged a cot and high chair for our baby. Thank you!

Cottage by the lake is a stunning spot and everything the online photos promised, and is perfectly located to explore the Macedon area. It's a wonderfully peaceful property with the only sound being local birds, of with there are plenty. Great lakeside walk trails and the clearest night skies. Each of us thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have returned home totally relaxed and rejuvenated.

We had a lovely stay at this waterfront property. The views were stunning and the little touches, like a bottle of wine on arrival, were a nice addition. The host was friendly and accommodating making sure we had everything we needed. It’s a great spot for a relaxing getaway and we’d happily stay again!

When you’ve been on the road for over a week, driving up to this beautiful cottage is a wonderful welcome! But then, you step through the door and are overwhelmed by a wonderful sense of arriving home! Freshly baked bread, cookies and a well stocked fridge for a big breakfast, comfy beds and a lovely sitting room with reclining chairs in which to really relax! We had a marvellous one night stay and wished we had time to stay longer. Meningie is a lovely little friendly town and Denice’s cottage is a real haven!

We had a lovely stay. Peaceful and private, awesome wildlife encounters one morning when 3 roos chilled out on the deck. The view is stunning. Appreciated the basic pantry, books, games, pool towels and tennis racquets.

Jenny’s place was absolutely wonderful. It was just a 2 min walk to the beach and 5 mins to the shops so super convenient. The beach was quiet even on a 27 degree Sunday and great for dog walking in the morning. The garden was fully fenced so very pet friendly and very relaxing to sit in. Both the queen bed and the sofa bed were extremely comfortable. The house had everything needed for a great stay including a range of kids toys. I would highly recommend Jenny’s place.

The Cabin was so comfortable and in a great location. Liz and Larry have the place set up with everything you could need. I wish we had been able to stay longer!!

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Acute Abode. It exceeded our expectations, truly one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed. It looks exactly like the photos (if not better) and the property is incredibly peaceful and quiet.

I recently stayed at Chris’ property, and it was absolutely fantastic! The home was spotless, beautifully decorated, and exactly as described in the listing—if not better. It’s clear that a lot of thought and care has gone into making the space both comfortable and welcoming. Loved it.

Our stay was unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by an incredibly friendly host, Rachel, who made us feel right at home. The location was stunning—peaceful, private, and surrounded by the beauty of nature. Watching the assortment of birds and kangaroos around the property was such a delight. The accommodation itself was immaculate and beautifully presented, with thoughtful details that went above and beyond. Everything we could have possibly needed—and even things we didn’t realize we did—was thoughtfully provided. It truly felt like a home away from home. This perfect retreat offered us both relaxation and connection with nature, and we were genuinely sad to leave. We can’t recommend this wonderful place enough and look forward to returning again in the future.
