Perfect spot for our family spring break 2025 trip to Mammoth Cave National Park. Absolutely loved it.

We enjoyed our stay at Riverside Escape! Far enough out in the country for some peace and quiet but close enough to all the places we intended to visit! We have family in Franklin and Bowling Green, we also visited Mammoth Caves and drove down to Nashville for a day - lots to from any where from 10 mins to an hour away from here! We were mostly only here later in the evenings but the house had everything we needed and it was nice to have a place to come home to after our busy days out. The view of the Barren River out back was beautiful, the beds were super comfortable and tons of pillows! And the host, Kim, was very nice and had great communication! We would love to stay here again when we come for another visit sometime!

We enjoyed a family vacation with four adults and four kids aged 6-9. Pros- clean beautiful home and property. We all enjoyed the hot tub, and the swings around the fire pit. The house was private and spacious. Everyone loved the game room. It was about a 30 min drive to mammoth caves, which we went to most days to see caves and hike. After our outings we enjoyed a lot of time at the house playing board games and hot tubbing. Cons- my husband had to do some figuring out to get the hot tub to heat properly the first night. The outdoor furniture was a little lacking, it would have been nice to have a patio table for dining/playing games. Considerations- not exactly pros or cons but things I would want to know ahead of time- the area is very rural, which was peaceful and what we were looking for, but a drive to a lot of attractions. The house is on a large hill that I wouldn’t like for toddler aged kids. There isn’t really lake access at the house, but this wasn’t an issue for us.

Sara was extremely responsive before and during our visit. We were able to check in early and were able to make the most of our stay despite unexpected bad weather. Our favorite amenity was the S’mores kit Sara left. The kitchen was fully stocked for us to make dinner in and we had a great time playing the board games and puzzles in the house while listening to the record player.

The Cozy Cabin was truly beautiful and tranquil. Stunning lake views. Quiet. Lovely getaway. The hosts were very responsive and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. They were quick to respond when we were communicating with them. The recreation room in the basement was perfect for our older kids and allowed us to play as a family. We stayed in the home while visiting Mammoth Cave Natl Park. The house was a bit of a drive to the caves for us. Also, we visited in the off-season and found there weren’t many restaurants available to us during our visit. They seemed to be open on the weekends only. I wish we had known this as we could’ve planned groceries differently. The home was lovely and met our needs. Thank you for allowing us to stay at your place!

We all thoroughly enjoyed staying at Julia’s location. We had an additional guest join us, and Julie was extremely accommodating considering a majority of our original reservation contained young kids. Kentucky started to flood while we were there and Julia was very responsive to some of the concerns we were having! We also really enjoyed the neighbors that had the turkeys and the goats and the cows across the street. Something we don’t get where we live. Overall, the stay was perfect and exactly what we needed for our spring break trip with our primary goal of going to Mammoth Cave’s, which we got to do!

Perfect stopping spot and half way to the south/north. We've never stopped and stayed in KY, but this was just like home. Love staying in spaces where people own them vs a company. So much more personal. All the touches. Towels for the hot tub, stuff for our dog and lots of gadgets, games and fun for the kids and whole family. We loved staying here!! Thanks so much for sharing this space with us ❤️

This place is absolutely perfect, easily one of the top Airbnb locations I've stayed, which has been a lot over the years. The place is huge and I'm accommodated me and my four girlfriends for our hiking trip weekend. Great location and amenities, the back screens in porch was perfect for hours of talking and relaxing. I would easily stay again and recommend to anyone.

Greg and Judy were amazing hosts for our one night stay. They were very responsive, ensured we arrived and departed okay, checked in with us occasionally, and offered clear instructions related to the property. I would absolutely recommend anyone who wants a short getaway by the lake and a national park to contact Judy and Greg. I would 100% stay here again in the future!

The Captain's Lodge far exceeded our expectations for comfort and quality. We were excited for our stay based on the photos and description, but I feel they didn't do the place enough justice! This is a perfect spot for family or friendly get-togethers with plenty of hang-out space on both interior levels as well as outside, an extra large dining table, and a well-stocked kitchen with upgraded appliances. There were plenty of games and activities for people of all ages to enjoy and the small surrounding neighborhood was quiet and peaceful. The hot tub was very well-maintained and was incredibly clean. We can't wait to come back for our next stay!

This home was BEAUTIFUL! The neighborhood was quite peaceful and so relaxing. There was 9of us and there was enough space to spread out and relax. I would definitely recommend for big families. Hot tub was so relaxing and if you stay and a rain storm comes through it makes it 100x better. A couple nights we’ve fell asleep on the sofa outside and lightening to the rain on the tin roof and enjoying the breeze. Hot water on demand was amazing no one had to wait to shower ! Didn’t get to use the saloon but it looked fun. And host were very accommodating :) multiple washers and dryers was great for a huge group !

Very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the hot tub and relaxing in the swing with morning coffee! There is a very nice charcoal grill with the charcoal and grilling utensils provided! The kitchen was very well stocked, the beds were super comfortable and the bedrooms even had small fans for personal use.

This is a beautiful home and perfect place for our family. Our kids loved it. It was private with pretty surroundings. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Awesome place! Very peaceful setting with an amazing view and surrounded by farmland. Close to Mammoth Caves NP and Bowling Green. Front and back porches really great places to relax and enjoy the surroundings.

Jeryn was right on top of our reservation from the very beginning. Super nice guy and extremely helpful. The cabin was everything as described and so much more. My wife and I needed a quiet, private get away for the weekend and Jeryn came through. We thoroughly enjoyed the seclusion and then the advantage of town being minutes away. We will most definitely be calling on Jeryn again.

We were very comfortable in the available space. There was ample space to sit outside as well as a few spaces indoors. The surrounding woods and trail were really nice for the kids to be able to explore a bit as well.
