Amazing house. Even nicer than the photos. Gorgeous view of Arenal from the top deck. Lovely pool. It was a super relaxing visit. The AC units are only in the bedrooms but this was not a problem at all and my husband is very much an AC person. We had fans going and the AC from the bedrooms came into the living room, so it was very comfortable and cool. Great internet. Quiet neighborhood. We loved it so much, close to town, couldn’t have been better. Thanks so much Sindy!!!

Very nice house with fantastic garden. You have a chance to see parrots and another birds.All equipment works fine.Housekeeper Rosalija lives in the next house, she is always there to help. Unfortunatelly, the house is just 50 m from main road , and, when trucks are going down the hill, the sound is so strong, that you can not speak to one another when you are outside. Take something to protect you ears in night, the trucks start move before 6AM, and finish after 11PM. Another problem is that the house is far from La Fortuna, it is 20 min to drive. It is self check-in, but the owner had not gave us instructions prior , so we had to write him down again to open the gates.They have strange code lock on the front door, which had closed themselves at 10 PM, when we was outside, so we was forced to broke the door. It appears,that owners knows about this problem, but do nothing to fix it.

Wij hadden het blauwe huisje en het was ruim met een eigen keukentje. Het bed was fijn en alles was schoon. Fijn dat er een zwembad was om even te relaxen. We misten buiten een tafel en 2 stoelen en dat heb ik aangegeven. Er was een snelle reactie dat ze dat aankomende week jn orde gaan maken. De communicatie is prima en snel. Buiten is er een grote keuken met alles wat je nodig hebt dus je kan makkelijk koken als je dat zou willen. Ik zou hier zeker nog een keer verblijven!

Stay here! It's an inside outside house - the bedroom and bathroom are in air conditioned comfort, everything else is outside... The pool is perfect, the grounds are beautiful. We were away for 30 days across Panama, Costa Rica and Mexico City and Casa Pura Vida was the stand out accommodation. We'll book it again when we return to Costa Rica.

My father and I were there for 10 days and it was perfect. Sandra’s breakfasts were delicious and different every day. The pool was lovely after a long hot day. Sandra is an amazing host. 10/10 d’ont hesitate and just book it.

Jason is an amazing host. He is incredibly responsive, helpful and friendly. Any questions we had about the house were answered promptly and clearly. He made great restaurant recommendations and booked two amazing activities for us: The Sloth Territory and Arenal Rafting Company. The house is also amazing. Clean and comfortable. Peaceful and private with great views of Arenal. We had coffee on the front porch everyone morning and it was like we were sitting in a bird sanctuary. We didn’t want to stay in La Fortuna so this was the perfect location for us. It is an easy drive into La Fortuna. We hope to be back on Costa Rica soon and if we are visiting La Fortuna we will definitely stay at Jason’s again.

We had an amazing stay here! The place was exactly as described—clean, comfortable, and had a beautiful view. Jonathan was incredibly welcoming and provided thoughtful local recommendations that made our trip even more enjoyable, the trit ice cream that was recommended was fantastic. The location was perfect for nature lovers and attractions but still peaceful and quiet. The local food he provided was delicious and made you feel right at home. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a getaway from all the tourists. The only downside is getting all the way up to the parking was difficult despite having a 4x4 car, best to stay parked at the bottom of the hill and walk up.

The location of this place really can’t be beat! We could walk around La Fortuna really easily, it was safe, and we could even walk to the Bogarin trail. Everything matched the description pretty well and there were no surprises.

Wow! We had a great time at Tavi’s home— comfortable furnishings, well stocked kitchen, and a beautiful view amid flowers and with the sweet songs of birds. The owners were so kind to provide information on the area, which was super helpful. We enjoyed so much the delicious food and experience at Casa Italia, we enjoyed it twice. The German restaurant also has a yummy breakfast. Thanks for sharing your home with us!

What a fabulous place! The views were stunning and sunsets were spectacular! I really enjoyed sitting on the deck in the mornings watching the sun come up. We took advantage of the family restaurant and had them bring breakfast right to our outdoor table one morning. It was amazing! We also brought dinner back from the family restaurant one night and watched the sunset…wow!! Highly recommend!

Beautiful place and unbelievable view of the volcano. We especially liked the location. It’s away from the touristy areas but close enough to get to everything. The kitchen and bathroom was great and the jacuzzi tub on the deck was next level. The laundry service was a life saver and so convenient and quick. You will not find a better place in the area. Highly recommend.

The location was safe and gated. There was a hiccup initially as we were provided instructions to access the wrong lockbox and we should have accessed a second lockbox. The house is 2 down from GPS look for solid silver gate. The place was as described and shown in the photos. There was a minor leak from the roof to the outside of the bathroom on the second floor. The a/c in the house was great and there was a unit in each bedroom. We also scheduled massages with the host. The ladies who arrived worked out all our aches from the many hikes we had from our adventures! Highly recommend!! We also did our laundry at the house there was a washer, dryer and detergent. Everything we needed including dishes, silverware, cups, soap, etc. There are some minor street noise from rowdy cars late night. There is a convenient store thats walkable near by. We were 10-20 minutes from all the major attractions. We would stay here if we ever visit La Fortuna again!

The location was perfect for our Monteverde adventure. Easily accessed everything we wanted to do from zip-line to a night hike to a 6-mile self-guided hike in Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve. We also drove to Viento Fresco Waterfalls about 50 minutes away and the swim in waterfall #3 was a family favorite for the trip. Lots to do, very peaceful surroundings at the house and easy to get to good food in Santa Elena! Simple and perfectly comfortable accommodations and the host was wonderful and helpful.

El lugar es excelente en general, muy buena ubicación y tiene todo las comodidades que menciona la descripción. Tuvimos una experiencia genial desde el check in hasta el check out. El lugar es cómodo y espacioso, con buena ventilación y claridad, la cocina está muy bien equipada. El jacuzzi también está bien equipado. Hay una lista de actividades que se pueden hacer cerca, recomiendo el tour de la granja que fue muy agradable. Estamos muy agradecidos con el trato recibido y esperamos regresar pronto!

The house is beautiful, our group of 8 (4 adults/4 kids) had lots of space and the pool area is amazing. The house is located about a 5-7 min drive from the main area of La Fortuna, which is about a $4-5 USD trip via Uber. The house is very clean and very well maintained, attention to detail is clearly visible. Carlos and the team @ Home Vacations were great to work with, Carlos is a 1-stop shop for everything. He even helped me set up transportation for all 8 of us for our trips from San Jose, La Fortuna, Monte Verde & Guanacaste. I highly recommend this home, and big thank you to Carlos!

The place is great for a relaxed getaway for couples or families. We had amazing time and rested days in the area. House looks like the photos, very clean and nicely decorated. Hosts are very friendly and responsive and help with anything we needed; having them close helps with communication. The house does not have a view to the lake directly, but you can enjoy the amazing gardens and see plenty of birds right in front. When walking a little up the hill, you do get full view of the lake. This side of the lake is a little less busy on restaurants, but there are a still a couple of alternatives if you want to move around. Overall, we were very happy with our holiday and would love to come back.

We had a great stay. Karla was very responsive to attend to our questions. The back yard was beautiful and peaceful. There many wonderful activities to do in the area. There a supermarket just a short walk from the unit. The unit is very safe and secure.

El lugar acogedor, limpio y perfecto para tiempo en familia o con amigos, es muy tranquilo y tiene suficiente espacio en el estacionamiento. Excelente comunicación con el anfitrión, son muy amables y siempre pendientes.

The house was very clean, well decorated and fully equipped. We felt right at home and there was enough space for the 8 of us (4 adults and 4 teens). The house (which is actually two separate condos) is located in a nice gated neighborhood and is only a 5-mins drive to multiple restaurants and is near many attractions. The host was very responsive and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay!
