Ein hervorragender Aufenthalt, um zentral alle Spots des Golden Circles zu erreichen. Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und bietet ausreichend Platz, um ein paar Tage zu verweilen. Wir konnten zudem von der super Hilfsbereitschaft der beiden Gastgeber profitieren, die uns eine Hilfe für eine kleine Autopanne organisieren könnten. Danke!

A beautiful location that felt out of the way but was not far off the road. Great suggestions for local attractions and we changed our morning plans and drove the short drive to Gluggafoss waterfall which ended up being one of our favorite sights of the trip! Saw the northern lights beneath the cloudy skies which was a nice surprise given the weather as well.

This property is unique. Amazing and tranquil setting off the Golden Circle. The view of the lake over the course of the day with the clouds rolling in and out is what postcards use to be made of. The house itself is guest ready, plenty of fresh towels, sheets, linens and a fully workable kitchen. The coffee maker will give you plenty of gas to get up but honestly we enjoyed the property so much we spent days watching the weather change, listening to the wind in the trees and just relaxing in a beautiful Icelandic setting. The hot tub and sauna did not disappoint either. We have stayed at many properties around the globe, but this one felt most like home.

the cottage is wonderful. We can see waterfall from our bedroom, the place is nice and clean.

Eine tolle Unterkunft, es wurde an alles gedacht, Ladekabel, Bluetooth Lautsprecher, Küchenausstattung top. Wir haben uns wirklich wie zuhause gefühlt. Optimal um den Golden Circle zu erkunden.

It was my 3rd visit in this cabin and I certainly hope it wasn't the last. As always everything was great - the cabin was spotless, the check-in couldn't be smoother, all the utilities were there and, most importanly, the hot tub was ready to use :) Speaking of the hot tub - it's covered from the wind by a wooden screen, but it's open from the North side, making it perfect for watching the aurora in winter. The location makes it a perfect base for exploring southern Iceland. Highly recommended!

Wonderful place to stay. Much bigger than we expected. We were far enough away from city lights to see the Northern Lights every night. It had everything we needed and the host was extremely accommodating.

Johanna & her sisters were great hosts & the log cabin is really amazing! We received very detailed information how to find & check-in & also some helpful information regarding the area (supermarkets, rental cars etc.). So, we felt like home just when we arrived. The cabin is equipped with really everything you need, e.g. the fireplace & the clothes horse were very helpul when coming back from hiking on a stormy & rainy day. Worth mentioning is also the hot tub from which you can look towards the river. Overall, we can absolutely recommend the log cabin & we will definitely come back. Selfoss (grocery), the Golden Circle, Thingvellir & Reykjavik are within a max. 1.5 hour drive.
