Paul and Emma were lovely hosts, great communication, the cottage was lovely and homely with everything you need and although on a main road you couldn’t really tell once inside. The double bed was super comfy!! We slept really well there, the double room is small but there’s plenty of space to put luggage elsewhere. The hot tub is very exposed so I imagine it is incredible on a clear sky - unluckily we were there during a storm! There are a couple of great restaurants nearby which we enjoyed, The Oystercatcher and Sandy Mount House. Thanks Paul and Emma, we hope to visit again with better weather! 😂 x

We had a wonderful stay here. The cottage is beautiful and had everything we needed. The surroundings are idyllic! Joce and David were perfect hosts, friendly and gave great advice about the area. We loved meeting all the animals on the farm, especially Milly the donkey!!

The cottage was perfect with breath taking veiws! Rosie had made the place child friendly before our arrival by putting up a travel cot and high chair. There was also a stair gate at the bottom of the stairs. Rosie reccomended local walks which suited our needs with a 1 year old. Rosie was a great host and we were made to feel very welcome and at home. Great location. We will definitely return. Thank you Gary, Lucy and Casper x

A very nice property with the added bonus of a proper hot tub and a sauna. Very nice mix of old and modern inside too. Lots of local pubs with good food.

We couldn’t have asked for a better place and friendlier helpful host. Kathryn was attentive and was very responsive, always friendly and helpful. This cottage is very spacious, modern and clean. We really enjoyed our time here. We are already planning when to go back. The views from the windows and the hot tub are beautiful. There is so much to do, we needed much longer to explore more areas and go on more walks. We would definitely recommend this place.

We absolutely loved our stay here. It has been the perfect base to explore the northern lakes (Helvellyn/Derwent Water/Blencathra). It felt like a home away from home and had everything we’ve needed. The extra little touches made the difference- the fireplace being set up to light and the lovely neighbours giving us an insight into the local history. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Emma’s place is a beautiful little cottage in Rachub, a quiet town in the heart of Snowdonia. The location was beautiful with views of the mountain from the window. The cottage was a little cold so the log fire was essential but made the cottage feel cosy once it was going. Make sure to get logs from Tesco in Bethesda as the Londis logs were wet. We were unable to get the towel rail to heat up, leaving the bathroom quite chilly, it was unclear if it was broken. Emma was a great host, quick responses and very friendly. The bed was extremely comfortable. Would recommend!

The location was wonderfully remote, offering a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle. The log burner was a fantastic feature, especially on the colder evenings! Us and our dogs thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful walks nearby, there were a few books/leaflets of things to do, including one book of valley walks - the one starting at Dolwyddelan train station was absolutely incredible. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a tranquil outdoors getaway!

We were looking for a short break in a place that was baby and dog friendly, Laurel Cottage was absolutely spot on. The accommodation was great, clearly a lot of thought had gone into it by the owners (generous welcome hamper, helpful instructions, recommendations, map of the area, highchair, dog treats etc) we just felt very at home in the property. The place was peaceful and clean, we loved the kitchen, the outside area and the rainforest shower. Lots of walks on the doorstep which is exactly what we wanted and some great pubs for lunches and refreshments. 100% would book again. Thanks to Paul and co 👍

Absolutely beautiful setting with total peace and quiet. Great walks right from the property. Views from the lounge are fantastic. Ten minute stroll into the centre of the town, which is full of restaurants and coffee shops. Could not be better situated.

What a little gem! Pobty Cottage is a lovely place to recharge your batteries. Ideal location to explore Anglesey or just to walk round the bay ( it’s a little muddy along the coastal path towards the Ship Inn ) The cottage has everything you need for a great stay. Magg’s communication is great from the time of booking to the day you arrive, we didn’t need to contact her while we stayed but made us aware she would be available if need :

An absolutely charming, well equipped cottage. As a young family the cottage was perfectly set up for our toddler with everything we could possibly need and more. She particularly loved playing with the toys you had left! Jason is the perfect host. Always super responsive, great recommendations and really thoughtful. Thank you so much for having us.

We had a wonderful time staying here! Tracey and Mark were fabulous hosts and made us feel right at home. The cottage was lovely and characterful and clearly so well loved. We loved the hot tub and sauna, it was set for us each evening and we loved relaxing there. the evenings were quite chilly so it was just what we needed. Also don't miss the opportunity to let Mark cook for you, we had a wonderful meal and were still full the next morning! We will definitely be back if visiting the area again!

Absolutely beautiful cottage in very peaceful surroundings. The cottage itself is quaint and has everything that you would need for a great stay. Helpful hints would be to bring some extra firewood and boardgames for the kids. Annette went above and beyond and put up banners for my daughter and niece to celebrate their Confirmation which was a lovely surprise when we arrived. I would most certainly recommend. Sitting in the hottub watching the stars was the perfect family get away. Thank you Annette for such a lovely stay.

What a fabulous home, thank you so much! I stayed for a weekend with my family and our dogs. It was perfect location for walks, restaurants. Gorgeous house with beautiful views and surroundings! Would definitely recommend.

My children and I had a fabulous stay at Jane’s place. The cottage was cosy and comfortable and Jane had provided everything we could possibly need. We will definitely be staying again in the future as the cottage is a short walk away from family. Hopefully next time the weather will be better and we can make use of the amazing garden! Myself and my partner stayed at Barneys cottage for 3 nights and we had the best time. We loved the location of the cottage, only being a 30 minute drive from most places we wanted to visit including Windermere and Aira Force. The hot tub was lovely after a long day of walking and the cottage was clean, comfortable and cosy. We also enjoyed Kevs recommendation of the cross keys inn which is only a 5 minute drive from the cottage that served a good pint and great pizza (which you can eat in or take away). Kev was very friendly and helpful and we would definitely recommend a stay at Barneys Cottage to friends and family :)

The cottage is very cosy and comfortable so we felt very much at home there. The extra touches - milk in the fridge, bottle of wine as a welcome - much appreciated! The cottage is only a few minutes walking distance from the High Street in Innerleithen and parking was always available. Plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. The bathroom is modern and the bedrooms very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped and in general there was a feeling of good taste and a lot of thought put into the decor, furniture and utensils. Thank you for a wonderful stay Nina and Declan!
