One of the most unique places we've ever stayed! Thoughtfully designed, both in terms of use of space given the constraints of a windmill and the designer touches throughout. Be ready for a thorough workout, because every room is on a different floor. One surprise was how few views you actually get, unless you're standing up on the top floor or sitting on the couple of bar stools up there. We met Alan on our last day--amazing to hear him think through ways to improve it even further, when it feels pretty perfect already.

Matt & Ali's beautiful renovation of this magnificent iconic tower is second to none. The tasteful interior has been furnished to an exceptionally high standard. The living space has been expertly designed, combining mid-century pieces to reflect the era of the tower's original build with the very best up to the minute technology, which was very easy to use. The tower was spotless and luxurious, with a totally relaxing vibe. Everything you could possibly need during your stay was supplied. There was also a very useful Hello welcome book containing all the information you required during your stay. The tower is situated in a great location, with fantastic views of the surrounding countryside. I came away feeling very chilled and rejuvenated. Thank you so much Matt & Ali for an amazing stay, for being so welcoming , for your quick responses to messages and for the lovely goodies too!! It was a pleasure to have met you both and Poppy too. I hope to be back again one day!

We loved our stay at the Hexagon. It was peaceful, and such an unusual place. We found the radar tower and all the history fascinating. The views of the sunrise were spectacular and the walks along the coast with all the wildlife were hard to leave behind. We would love to come back and could have stayed for longer.

What a lovely find! The Water Tower is a stunning building and has been so thoughtfully designed. The space is impressive and we loved our weekend here. Lovely and quiet location, hot showers and wide windows that let the sunlight stream in. Thank you, Peter!

We had a lovely time at the cottage! A lovely little village with a local shop for anything you need. The field was perfect for us walking our reactive dog - we only saw two other people with dogs our whole stay and they were lovely! Looks exactly like the pictures on the inside and is really a unique stay.

This was one of the most unusual places I’ve ever stayed in. We did have a few walkers come up from Chatsworth and admire the view but mainly we were in splendid isolation. Walking around the woods and admiring the Aqueduct in the evening was quite magical; it felt as though we had the whole place to ourselves. The tower itself is an amazing survival from Tudor times and has been modernised sympathetically. The round shower was a favourite feature. The nearby farm shop was very good with a wide range of good quality food. It did snow whilst we were there but Sandra from Chatsworth Cottages kept in touch and made sure we were fine which was much appreciated. Altogether I would recommend the tower for anyone who wants to stay somewhere unusual and highly memorable. One word of caution though there is a spiral staircase connecting the floors so the building is not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.

The water tower was the most stunning and unique venue to celebrate my 40th birthday with friends. The bedrooms each with ensuite were all immaculate. We hired a chef for the evening and he found the kitchen to be well equipped. Check in and out instructions were simple and the host replied to messages very quickly. The visibility wasn’t great when we were there unfortunately so we didn’t get the full impact of the views but they were impressive nonetheless. You will not regret booking this place!

Lovely private tucked away summerhouse. Perfect for our anniversary trip away. The communication beforehand was great with really clear instructions. Lovely touches throughout including freshly baked pastries in the morning. Couldn’t have wished for anything more

This is certainly a unique stay. We stayed in December over an exceptionally windy weekend (60mph). The noise of the wind was obviously a feature of our stay, it became more of a novelty than inconvenience. The place is cosy if you’re wearing jumpers and the underfloor heating kept the chill out. The stove was welcome on a cold evening. We could have done with better instructions to operate the shower, the bathroom facilities are pretty basic and would work less well with more than a couple of occupants. That said, the austerity works with the surroundings and there are well-considered features and amenities throughout. The sea is literally a stone’s throw away
