English Channel : locations de vacances avec cheminée

We descended on Niall’s property for a book club weekend, after reading Northanger Abbey and wanting to visit Jane Austen’s house (approx 20min drive away). The house was so remote and peaceful, an expansive garden with beautiful views. We had everything we needed in the kitchen and the living room was perfect for a comfy chat. We did have a few issues which were all speedily resolved by a friendly, proactive host. All in all, a fabulous weekend.

a great option for dog owners, as the garden was very safe and there was plenty of room!

Really amazing and unique place to stay in this 70’s hideaway on the edge of Dartmouth. Once you catch you breath after the 100 steps to the front door, you will be rewarded with a really quirky and stylish house hidden in the trees, but with tantalising views of the River Dart. It was so quiet at night and it’s only a 20 minute walk into the town that you really have the best of both worlds. Perfect for a couple or young family. The garage at the bottom was fine for our little polo but you might struggle to get anything bigger in it but there was space on the street if needed. We loved the place and will be back!

Bridget’s cottage was absolutely tremendous! It felt homely, warm and welcoming! It was private and out of the way without being miles away from what you needed. We stayed with our 18 month old and dog who had a lovely time too. The stair gate on the bedroom was great as it gave our son freedom to wonder about upstairs whilst we got ready. There was also plenty of room for the travel cot too. Bridget was excellent at giving local recommendations and instructions for the cottage. We tried Rye in Frome which served excellent coffee! So thank you for that too. A perfect Christmassy getaway! Felt like the holiday! Thank you so much xx

A lovely place, centrally located and an easy walk into town along the canal. Every detail is very well thought out for a comfortable stay, including all the little extras such as milk, juices, breakfast cereals and snacks. We stayed we a young baby so appreciated the cot and high chair were ready for us on arrival.

La maison de Lyn est superbe, propre, joliment décorée, confortable et, somme toute, très accueillante. Il y a beaucoup de place et la maison est située pas loin du centre ville. Lyn est une hôte accueillante et attentionnée. Nous avons beaucoup apprécié le petit déjeuner et sa gentillesse en général.

We had a great couple of days in Milford On Sea. The accommodation was super clean, warm and in a lovely peaceful location, just a short walk from the sea. The centre of town is approximately 15mins walk away with a few restaurants and cafes. Philip was very quick to answer any questions and really helpful. The welcome card and essentials was a lovely touch too :) Will hopefully be back soon.

Came back here again as a beautiful property and was as good as we remembered.

On se sent vraiment bien dans cet appartement de caractère. Parfaitement situé et propre. Les instructions d'arrivée/départ sont faciles à suivre. Je recommande chaudement et j'y retournerai sans hésiter. Merci Eva.

Myself, my partner and our dog have just returned home after a 2 night stay at Debbie's private apartment. We arrived later than expected, but we were greeted as soon as we got to the drive away. The apartment was exactly how it was shown, very clean, cosy and the bed was very comfy! We really enjoyed our stay, we visited Putsborough beach which was a 15 minute drive away and we also went for dinner at Ebrington Arms, which was a 3 minute drive away. Thanks again for a great stay!

Schönes Appartement. Hell und zeitlos eingerichtet, absolut geschmackvoll. Wir haben uns alle sofort Zuhause gefühlt. Wir haben die Küche kaum genutzt, sie war aber perfekt ausgestattet, auch für einen längeren Aufenthalt (Waschmaschine vorhanden). Es gibt in der Wohnung Schlafmöglichkeiten für 4 Personen in zwei Schlafzimmern. 2 einzelne Betten, ein Doppelbett und obwohl wir nur zu Dritt dort gewohnt haben, wäre durchaus für eine weitere Person ausreichend Platz vorhanden gewesen. Trotz der zentralen Lage, sehr ruhig. Patrycja hat im Vorfeld den CheckInn gut erklärt und war immer erreichbar.

This is our third time staying in Ela and Kate's flat and hopefully not our last! It's perfect for a visit to Hastings - elegant lodgings right in the centre with everything you need, and Ela and Kate are helpful and accommodating hosts.

Un séjour remarquable, dans un cadre superbe, équipé et décoré avec soin. Une vue sublime, et un endroit qui, en cette saison, est absolument idéal pour un week-end paisible. David est réactif, de très bon conseil et a été arrangeant sur les heures d'arrivée et de départ, car cela lui était possible. Je recommande chaleureusement !

Nous avons passé un agréable séjour Maison bien équipée et à proximité de la ville et la plage tout en étant dans un quartier calme Nous avons fait de magnifiques balades à vélo Je recommande cette location

Nous avons pu bien profiter de tous les équipements à disposition (billard, ping pong y compris la piscine !) et avons passé un très bon séjour. Comme la villa n'est pas habitée il faut bien penser à tout prévoir pour la cuisine (vous n'y trouverez ni sucre ni sel). Le nombre de chambres et de salles de bain amène beaucoup de confort en grand groupe

Maison très agréable et spacieuse permettant de séjourner en famille élargie (nous étions 11) sans aucun problème. Samuel s'est montré extrêmement flexible sur les heures d'arrivée et de départ. Samuel a eu de délicates attentions à l'occasion de Noël, ce qui nous a particulièrement touchés. A refaire lors de la saison estivale pour profiter des beaux aménagements extérieurs !

Un séjour paisible en pleine nature coupé de tout. La maison est très proche de grandes villes permettant de se reposer et visiter. Beaucoup d’équipements de qualité pour un séjour de rêve, merci beaucoup à Dominique et Sylvain pour cette magnifique semaine !!
