The house was very spacious and had 3 really nice bathrooms. Common areas had a lot of space and we never felt like we were tripping over each other. Perfect place for quality family time and enjoying the beauty of the lake!

House was amazing and clean. Very well kept, Darlene was very responsive and gave us a list of things to do in the area which was very helpful. Although the street the house was on was nice, it seemed like the surrounding area was sketchy. I would not go back to this part of Erie at all.

Beautiful lakeside retreat. Spectacular views of the lake. Easy walk to some cute shops. Short drive to Peekn’ Peak resort. The home was beautiful decorated, spotless, very comfortable beds with great linens, comfortable living room space. Our favorite spot was sitting on the rocking chairs on the front porch and watching the activity on the lake.

Really nice location and fairly priced accomodation. It is a downstairs accomodation, rooms are not huge but big enough. Overall a great stay.

Absolutely incredible location and home. The house is thoughtfully equipped with everything a family could need. Beth and Robert went above and beyond by providing a travel crib for our toddler, sharing excellent food recommendations, and being exceptionally helpful throughout our stay. The property is just 2 miles from downtown, making it easy to explore plenty of great spots. The views of the water are breathtaking.

We had a great time visiting the Erie area. The house was spacious and the view of Lake Erie was great.

First and for most the house was absolutely stunning!! Jeff was amazing! I had a wonderful experience with Jeff and would give more than 5 stars if I could!! We came to North east the evening of November 28th. Planned on staying until December 1 to celebrate the Hollidays with my son’s gf family. Unfortunately the weather had other plans. We had to leave less than 24hrs into our trip. The snow with the lake effect was coming too fast and we felt if we did not leave on Friday am. We would be stuck in NE till at least mid week. We are a working family so we were not able to do so. I will say that Jeff did make it perfectly clear that we were welcome to hunker down and ride the storm out. Which we greatly appreciated. But realistically we could not do. I truly hope to be able to go back and enjoy the house and the lake for all that it is!! But, I will wait for the summer! If anyone is looking for a place! This is THE place!! Thank you Jeff for All of your help and kindness!

Hands down best host yet! Beautiful area, great home. Loved the gardens and use of them and the extra touch of spoiling our pup with toys.

Wonderful location and space to stay in with our dogs. Fenced back yard, friendly and quiet street. Lovely space, very clean and well maintained. Bed was very comfortable and we loved an evening next to the firepit in the backyard. Very roomy and felt quite at home. Amy and Dean are wonderful hosts and hope to return next season as we sail at Lake Pymatuning and this location is within 15 minutes of the Jamestown marina, so very convenient for us.

We had the best vacation with wonderful memories. The most important part of our vacation was having a place to enjoy with our older dog who loves to swim. This may be our last summer with him and coming to Higbys was the best decision. They directed us immediately to the swimming area for him and it was perfect. Everyone was so friendly and went out of their way. Thank you for one of the best vacations. The memories will last a lifetime!

We absolutely loved our ski weekend getaway. The house was perfect for our families, had absolutely everything you could need and more. The location and view to the lake were amazing. We talked about renting it again in the summer already!

This place was absolutely perfect! We were in town for a work event at the convention center, and it was so close, so easy to get to. Everything was spotless, tidy, and the space was perfect for us and our two dogs. Also a great walking path over looking the bay! Loved it. Highly recommend!

We stayed at this unit over the holidays while visiting family and loved the space! The unit is immaculately clean and like brand new and had very nice decor. It is fully stocked with great extras and had really comfy beds. We would definitely stay here again!

Trip’s place was quiet and cozy. We had plenty to do even tho we were snowed in. Highly recommended.

Location- We were excited to find this home. My husband and in laws were coming to town to snowmobile. My daughter and I wanted to tag along, but needed a place to stay during the day. It was perfect for this! They were able to ride the snowmobiles right from the house and jump on the trail. There was a cute diner in town and a library that we visited during the day. Host- I messaged the host ahead of time to see if a late check out was available. They answered quickly and were able to accommodate at a more than fair price. Also, the unthinkable happened during our visit. I ran outside to the load the car in the frigid weather and got locked outside while my daughter was inside. Not only did the host answer my frantic call, they were at the home WITHIN MINUTES to unlock the door. Home- The house had all the essentials for our stay (including a pack n play). At first we thought the cleaning fee was steep, but the pristine house upon arrival made it definitely worthwhile. 5 stars!

We had a girls weekend. This was the first time staying here. We loved the walking distance down the beach/Tiki Bar area and Pumpkinfest. Very nice views of the lake. The house was clean and beautifully decorated. When I had a question she was always responsive. Would highly recommend this place to others.

We have stayed here twice and both times Douglas has gone above and beyond to make our stay a great experience. They leave muffins and chocolates. Beautiful fresh flowers and the entire house is well decorated and super clean. Douglas is very responsive to any questions that we had. It is a definite 5 star and would stay here any time we are in town. Thank you!

Thanks for a great stay! Perfect for two small families of 4 for a quick ski weekend. Consider leaving wifi password on fridge for easy access, and possibly small fire starters for fire place. Wasn't planning on using the fireplace, but it was so cold out and looked very tempting! Comfortable beds, and spaces.

My family and so had such a wonderful time! Our main goal was to go fishing and this is just perfect for that! It was such a cute little cottage and felt homey. I love that the neighborhood was so quiet and beautiful. We seen so many deers around the house and very close to Lake Pymatuning. The house was clean and linens didn’t have an old smell like some places I’ve stayed in. Love that David let us check in early that was a plus for sure because we are from NC so the trip was very long for us! It stayed perfect temp for us and liked that he had a variety of different networks to watch on tv for our son at night. Overall I’m very pleased with the home and before checking in David let us know WiFi password and code for door. If you want something small and cute this would be perfect. We will be staying again when visiting Pennsylvania/Ohio again. 10/10 recommend!! Btw: beds were very comfy and clean. 🤗🤗

This is the second time my family stayed at Bearfoot by the Lake. It was just as clean and comfortable as the last time. A really nice home! There is a restaurant right across the street and an ice cream stand a few doors down. You can walk to the marina to rent a boat, or put your boat in the water. There is also a small beach with some playground equipment in walking distance, but the beach was kind of yucky when we were there. It was the last week of September, so probably out of season. There are several other places to eat within a few miles and a dollar general right up the street. We had a fabulous time. I would say the only downside to this property is that it is on a busy road during the day, but there is not much traffic in the evening. Even with being on a busy road, the back of the house is private and has a stream running through the back yard.

What a beautiful home, very clean, well laid out and plenty of room for all of us to stay and relax for a long weekend to attend our daughters wedding. Host was VERY responsive and very friendly. Could not have asked for a better place to stay during this wonderful event. Loved seeing the rabbits playing in the yard at night and the chipmunks playing on the patio every morning.

Being right on the lake was fantastic. Lovely views to just sit and relax.
