The accommodation was in a lovely area, and you feel right at home. The property is also in a very quaint location, which is very peaceful, with no noise at night. Would stay here again.

A perfect stay that exceeded our expectations and was even better than the photos. Angela was responsive and went above and beyond to ensure our Christmas was one to remember. I can’t recommend this house and its surroundings highly enough!

Justin and Muriel are great host. They contacted us before our trip to make sure they can prepare any additional things we need. They gave us very clear instructions on how to access the house, the equipment in the house and responded to our messages almost immediately. We loved that they had a stocked fridge and pantry and allowed us to use it. The welcome flowers and chocolates were a nice gesture. The house itself is located very close to the underground and right in front of a swan pond giving us breathtaking views. The house was a very spacious for the 5 of us, and had enough equipments, towels, linen for all of us. The AC in the living room provided some respite in the hot summer in London, but I would advise for more fans in the rooms please. Thank you for the great stay.

We had a lovely few days at this great house with lots of space for the family. It is perfectly located near public transport and getting into London and walking into the local town. A fantastic stay!

Alison is a warm and inviting host and her beautiful, self contained holiday cottage is incredible value for money. The bed was so comfortable, pillows and linen all fab too. Great shower, and all of the little touches you could ask for in a holiday let including spare toiletries in the bathroom, and really lovely breakfast items and condiments in the kitchen. There was even a fresh, local bakery loaf in the bread-bin. Alison knew that we have young children and she also kindly gifted us a couple of sweet Christmas cookies from the bakery for us to take home to our girls! The property is spacious, clean, calm and full of character. With a separate kitchen, dinging area, lounge and spacious dressing room between the double bedroom and bathroom upstairs, this really is a true home-from-home. We highly recommend a stay here and will certainly book again, and for family members who stay in the area too. Thanks for a wonderful stay Alison!

This accommodation is true to the pictures and the great reviews that it's already received. Stephen and Elaine are very warm, welcoming and responsive to any needs. The bed is comfortable and all lovely and clean. Although sharing their home you feel private and have exclusive use of lovely bathroom just outside the bedroom. Use of kettle, microwave, mini fridge and crockery are all provided within room. Location excellent with on road parking. Great value for money and hope to return

Kate and Gavin’s place is really something special. We went there for a photo shoot and was made to feel so at home. It’s clear that Kate and Gavin have put so much care and attention into building their happy home. The architecture is gorgeous, it’s big , bright and airy, plus there are so many little quirky touches that make it a great space for a shoot or an event. Check in was super easy and they were on hand to answer any questions that we had. Thanks for such a great experience 😊

Fabulous place to stay with everything you could possibly need. We stay here approximately six times a year and we love it. The location is brilliant, five minutes away from family and you are only a short journey to Harlow train station into London. Helen is an amazing host and is always responsive if you have any little queries. Helen is very thoughtful and always puts some breakfast items in the flat too which is a lovely touch. We will continue to visit Helen‘s place, looking forward to our next visit!!

Great place, easy access, clean and comfortable

stuart was responsive to messages and gave perfect details to checking in. great location, minutes walk to waterfront/theatres and pubs. only downside was toilets not as vlean as id liked and towel radiators very dusty but admittedly i have high standards! the bedroom needs curtains or black out blinds, the venetion blinds just didnt block out light so we were awake from 7am because of the light. the bed is also very high, we were ok but elderley people/children may have issues getting in and out of the bed. however, overall was a nice apartment and would recommend.

Really enjoyed my stay , both Rachel and Marilyn very helpful and responsive to messages. It was an ideal location personally for me visiting relatives . Very comfortable bed. Lovely to have some provisions for breakfast especially the homemade marmalade . It was good to meet Marilyn the owner who made me feel very welcome.

Bella is a fantastic host and was responsive to all of our queries. The apartment itself is very clean, spacious and the bedding was amazing! I would recommend for a relaxing staycation with friends.

Bertie and staff were great. We had a fantastic time and the full breakfast was amazing. We enjoyed a pint in the bar attached to the apartment and the atmosphere was right up our alley. If we're ever back in Southend on Sea we be contacting Bertie first.

Lesley is a great host - exactly what Airbnb is all about I think. She is friendly and makes sure you have all you need to have a good stay. It is spotlessly clean with little extras around the place to help you out (tea and biscuits in room for instance). I was only there one night, and had a very busy schedule, but she made everything easy. There are frequent buses to the city centre from just round the corner but given the glorious weather when I was there it was a nice easy walk of about 20 mins into the Centre so I mixed and matched. I would absolutely recommend staying with Lesley if you are in Chelmsford. Thank you Lesley.

Elaine & Teg are perfect hosts, very welcoming. Everything is as advertised and breakfast is delicious. We loved having the lounge area to chill out and all the extra touches are much appreciated.

Lyn & Gavin were wonderful hosts! Their home was welcoming and beautiful. Both creatives, their space reflects this with great art, decor and personal touches throughout. I stayed in the Garden room, which was set back from the others, which allowed for extra privacy and peacefulness. I slept like a baby. My room was just down the hall from the bathroom, which was well equipped with many amenities and always spotless. Gavin’s sourdough was delicious! I enjoyed it with butter & soft boiled eggs some days and Nutella & bananas on others. The breakfast spread was superb. I’m glad I was able to start my days with a hearty meal before bopping around London. Lyn was so kind to let me borrow her jacket for a chilly day and recommended a spot where I could pick up a quick sweater. All in all — a lovely stay and I’d definitely choose their place again.

My stay at Verna’s property was absolutely fantastic. From the start, her communication was excellent—both before and after our stay, making everything seamless. The accommodation itself was of an exceptional standard, spotlessly clean, and beautifully maintained. The thoughtful touches, such as porridge, fruit tea, coffee, yogurt, and milk, were a lovely surprise and much appreciated. The provision of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and snacks via an honesty box was a really considerate touch. I would definitely stay again and highly recommend this wonderful place!

Sophie’s Airbnb was outstanding. A beautiful Georgian house that has been modernised with central heating. We stayed for two nights and were very comfortable. Sophie was a very gracious host. We also enjoyed delicious breakfasts.
