Sally's house was a perfect place to stay for a new years Eve getaway with friends. Plenty of space, beautiful area and super helpful instructions. The house felt so homely and the log fire and cosy duvets were lovely for this time of year. Hope we can visit again!

We had a lovely couple of nights and wish we could have stayed longer. The studio was cosy and well equipped, and the bed was very comfortable with beautiful 100% Egyptian cotton sheets. Boxford itself was very quaint and a great base for visiting Constable country, Bury St Edmunds and Felixstowe. Added bonus that we could bring our dog. Hope to return in the future.

This place was wonderful, Claire was a fantastic host. I would stay here anytime that I go back. Recommended this place to lots of friends already. The photos do not do it justice. My brother was in a wheelchair and was able to get around easily in the house. So much space, lots of parking and beautiful grounds to walk around. Don’t have to look for a place next time I’m in England visiting friends and family because this is now the only place I will stay. Julie

Beautiful home in a very peaceful setting, with plenty of space both inside and in the expansive gardens. Justine was there to greet us and responded to any subsequent queries promptly. It was so great to be able to pick the produce from the kitchen garden and to collect the freshly laid eggs, whilst the farm shop (for other supplies) is about 20 mins walk into the village itself. Overall, we had a wonderful weekend celebrating a very special birthday! Highly recommended!

We stayed in the annex for three weeks, as our son was attending an intensive course of physical therapy at NAPA in Harlow. The property being only on the ground floor was perfect for our son in a wheelchair. There is a step at the front door but we found that this was not at all a problem. Our stay was an extremely comfortable one. It is a beautiful property that is comfortable and well thought out. The annex has both style and substance. It feels like a home. The surrounding farm is beautiful and was a joy to look at. Sally herself is a perfect host - informative, kind and good fun. The only negative from me is that the fridge was too small for our purposes. However, Sally let us kindly use another fridge and I know that she has plans to install a bigger one. All in all, we loved it and we have already booked for later in the year.

We had a lovely mini break at the Old Cafe and Julia and Guy were great hosts, allowing us flexible check in and out times as they didn’t have an immediate follow up booking. The rooms were comfortable and the upstairs living space views and light were a joy. We had everything we needed, although a washing machine would be ideal for a longer stay. There was a problem with the dishwasher and a leak with the roof that Julia communicated clearly before we arrived and offered a discount as a result, and her husband attended the leak (which we noticed barely any evidence of) on the roof the morning we arrived. I would recommend mountain bikes rather than road bikes if you want to cycle. Beach road on approach needs slow and careful driving to navigate. A really lovely spot for birdlife in the salt marshes and we made it to a couple of local beaches with the kids which we enjoyed. Easy drive on to other nice seaside towns like Frinton and Walton too.

What a beautiful little place! We had a lovely time, the area was clean, I had no concerns on arrival. Fresh eggs were left which we did not make use of as we only stayed one night and did not take any food with us such as bread etc to make use of the eggs but it was a nice gesture. Hot tub was lovely! We stayed in it quite late enjoying a drink and just relaxing with the stars/animals in nearby field! The accommodation has two TVs, one in the lounge and one in the bedroom, the remote controls both which is useful but slightly annoying when you’re using one and accidentally turn the other on🤣 My only minor grumble was the bed. I’m not one to complain about beds as I could generally sleep on the floor if I had to, but it was SO SOFT. To the point we were rolling into eachother throughout the night in to the middle of the bed. I definitely think a bed frame/mattress upgrade should be considered. Overall well worth the money and we’ll be saving this one to consider returning!

The perfect little home from home. This was our third visit to Edie’s retreat (the name is very fitting), whilst we attended an event in Colchester. The studio is just lovely, pristine, quality furnishings & everything you need. Sue & Paul are great hosts, friendly, helpful & responsive to any queries. We will be booking again for next year.

One of the best AirBnBs we have stayed in. Tina was very generous with toiletries and kitchen supplies. Well appointed and planned accommodation, which was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Our dog loved to run around in the secure paddock. Very highly recommended.

Amanda’s cottage is beautiful and is in a great location. The surroundings are peaceful, and this is a great destination for a relaxing weekend away. Amanda is very accommodating as a host and was always very prompt with responses to queries. We were provided with a lovely welcome basket which was a nice treat to receive on arrival. Check in and check out was very straight forward and instructions for this were clear. The hot tub and outdoor area is so nice and relaxing, with a lovely view of the countryside. The beds were very comfortable and we all slept with ease. I would definitely recommend staying here for a wholesome weekend away in the countryside.

Wonderful stay in expansive beautiful peaceful grounds. Very comfortable accommodation and so much to explore locally. Nyree was a very attentive and informative host. We could not have asked for more!

The house was absolutely lovely. Gorgeous inside and out, and very comfortable to live in. The village is very quiet, but it's only a short drive into Colchester, where you can find tons of things to do. Chris was a great host who made check in easy and made us feel very welcome in his home. Would definitely stay again!

We had a lovely 5 night stay. The cottage was comfortable and well furnished, and the kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed. There were a couple of low doorways which were fine for me but my husband had to remember to duck. The surroundings were beautiful countryside and the host was friendly and easy to contact with any questions. We would recommend this property.

An excellent well equipped property for a family get together. There were 11 of us, 6 adults and 5 children ages ranging from under 2, to 9. Lots of toys and books and a great games room to keep everyone happy. The orchard garden was perfect with swings, monkey bars and slide and enough space to kick a ball. We moved the picnic table from the patio area so we could sit whilst the children played. The walk to village was about 15 minutes down a quiet country lane. The local recreation ground was brilliant for all ages. Catherine was very quick to reply to queries before we arrived.

We had a lovely relaxing stay here and the hosts were really accommodating. Thank you!

This was hands down the BEST air bnb we have ever stayed in! Absolutely beautiful inside and out. We were completely spilt! Robes and slippers provided for the hot tub. A HUGE garden fitted with swing set and goals for the children. My favourite bit of all was collecting eggs from their chickens each morning - it was great! We wanted to re book the minute we had looked around the lodge. It really is spectacular and worth every penny.

The house is beautiful and even better than the photos. We were a party of 10 and we found we had everything we could possibly need and enough room to live comfortably. We stayed mainly around the house, cooking meals and playing games by the open fire but ventured out for country walks and to visit the alpacas, which were a highlight. Overall a fantastic weekend, we can't wait to come back.

Jenny is a great host and the place was superb in every respect. It was very cold weather but the place, even with high ceilings, was toasty warm to return to. The milk in the fridge and delicious homemade cake upon arrival was a nice touch. The location is peaceful and yet very close to the airport, you would never know. Our little girls loved the pigs and sheep.

We had an amazing stay at Christine’s place! The space was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing visit. The location was great, and communication was smooth throughout. We’d definitely stay again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great getaway!

It’s was great, we requested some extra logs and they were there on the door step when we arrived back from work. We have re booked next Friday! Highly recommend

We had a lovely stay. Nice and spacious with everything we needed. Lots of seating when family came over. Alice was quick to respond when needed. The baby loved running up and down and seeing the chickens. Would love to come back in summer when the weathers better to explore more

Lovely relaxing long weekend in the Suffolk countryside. We were treated to local bread, butter and a lovely bottle of wine. We enjoyed our bbq and paddle on the boating lake, which our hosts were kind enough to arrange for us. Even helped us out when we left things behind - much appreciated. The Calf Pens Is a beautifully cosy home from home - would highly recommend.

We stayed at David’s place for my Mum’s 90th birthday. It allowed the close family to enjoy the celebrations in unique surroundings that just added to the occasion. A great weekend was had by all.
