Great value for money accommodation in a quiet rural location but close enough to pubs and public transport. Good location for exploring the wider area by car, bicycle or train.

Beautiful large space , prefect location very clean and easy to find with clear instructions from Paul, very peaceful sleep love the sound of the birds would definitely recommend .

We loved our stay at the barn. Bigger inside than pictures, gorgeous wood beams and high ceilings made it feel grand. Very clean and well decorated, felt welcoming. Was helpful that kitchen had basics like salt, pepper, oil, some tea bags, milk, coffee and dishwasher tablets. Beautiful views from living/kitchen area overlooking vineyard and in the distance can see the river. Very peaceful and quiet. Lovely walks right from the barn along the riverside and through the vineyard. Enjoyed the spa and salt room, lovely that this was a private booking. Well equipped clean gym. Cafe does very good food and reasonable.

Hote très sympathique, il a pu nous informer sur le métro. Merci de nous avoir accueilli. Nous pouvons apercevoir des écureuils dans l'école juste à côté. Bon emplacement à 15 mns a pied du métro.

Very clean, bedding and towels smelled great. Hot tub was very relaxing, nice farmland surroundings and would recommend shoes/boots that can withstand the mud!

Homely corner for exploring the local area, thank you Roddy and Mrs Roddy (and Winston the Labrador!) for a comfortable stay. A friendly welcome, and the breakfast things and snacks were a nice touch.

Everything was great, station is only 2 mins away which is great, only one minus is that there is a bad signal of wifi but we used ours so that wasnt really an issue

The accommodation has plenty of space, with a separate living area which is good for relaxing in. Very welcoming place with a friendly dog too, and a good bedroom at the rear of the house overlooking the garden and the trees. Conveniently situated in the town and the house is a short walk to a Co-op shop and a chip shop. A nice place to stay.

We enjoyed a lovely stay at the Pavillion, it had everything we needed for a nice few days away. It was tidy and nicely equipped. We walked from the Pavillion to the Flatlock Mill and back through Dedham, it was a lovely walk. We saw Kingfishers by the river.

Really enjoyed our stay. The accomodation was warm and comfortable and had everything we needed. Isabel was very responsive to any queries. Would definitely book again.

We hebben een fijne kerstvakantie gehad in het huisje van Susan. Gezellige woon- en eetkamer, lekkere en schone bedden en voor de kinderen was het leuk om in de garage tafelvoetbal te spelen. Vriendelijke, behulpzame host. In de omgeving zijn verschillende mogelijkheden voor leuke uitstapjes.

Absolutely wonderful - perfect place to stay for overnight or longer stay. Very quiet and peaceful, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Although I didnt get to meet Nancy, she came accross as friendly and helpful and left her contact details if we required them. Highly recommended!

We were attending a function nearby, needed somewhere to stay, it fitted the bill exactly, minutes from the venue. Very comfortable, quiet location. I'm sure I'll be back!

Really nice, clean and comfortable room with tasteful decor and furnishings right in the Heart of Saffron Walden. Arabella was very helpful lending me a phone charger as I had forgotten mine. Being able to park on the drive is a bonus…would definitely return again.

This was my first time staying at Ava Lodge. This time it was just me and my little dog. The Lodge is immaculate, even nicer than it looks in the pictures. And it feels more spacious than I had the impression of from looking online. The location is excellent. Set in a beautiful street of individual houses, it is really close to the shops and restaurants and a 5 minute walk to the beach (or 10 if your dog wants to sniff every blade of grass on the way like mine does). I really appreciated the private patio space. In fact the whole apartment feels very private. Heather (and family) were lovely hosts and I felt very welcome there. I will definitely stay again.

Very easy check in, everything was as described on the listing. Monica was a lovely helpful host and I felt safe in the airbnb. Only 20 mins walk from tube station and 3 min walk from bus stop. Easy to get around and nice quiet area. Thank you!

We had a pleasant stay. Finding the place was a bit difficult, as Google Maps pointed to a different place, but we got there without too much difficulty.

Philippa’s was ideally located for our weekend visit to family in the nearby village of Writtle. It was a perfect, very clean home from home right down to the fresh flowers on the dining table. We will definitely be back.

The property is exactly as described. The hosts - Tony and Masha - are very helpful and friendly. They also gave us lots of recommendations on local restaurants which we would never find by ourselves. Location is perfect - near the beach. We have enjoyed our stay here. We highly recommend it.

It’s was great, we requested some extra logs and they were there on the door step when we arrived back from work. We have re booked next Friday! Highly recommend

Laura was such a great host. We needed a place last minute for my mother to stay as we had some illness in our house, and Laura was super responsive and helpful, making my mum feel right at home and reassuring me that she would be comfortable and have everything she needed. My mum could not stop talking about what a great host she was.

From outside the accommodation appears small but it seems to be bigger once you enter! Perfect for the two of us. This is probably the cleanest Airb&b we have used and has everything you need for a stay. The only issue we had was with the TV (our fault) and Victoria came over and sorted it for us.
