We had a great stay at this cabin! Very cozy, great location, and we were even able to see the Northern Lights from the backyard very clearly one night. Convenient location in Fairbanks (within a 10 min drive to most things including the airport), would definitely stay here again!

Thanks for letting us stay at your place. We really liked the house, lots of room, great living room and a large kitchen The location is great, close to town, campus and ski trails. We would love to stay here again

Amazing stay, out of the world Hospitality and completely felt like a home away from home. One of my favorite stays ever. It was a very spacious cottage with very cozy vibes. Colleen wasn't around but had her friend Stacey to help us with all we need. They're both incredibly helpful (yes even Colleen although she wasn't around). It was a remarkable stay and I thought twice if I wanted to leave a good review and be selfish by gate keeping this gem but honestly.. They deserve every single star available. If there's a reason I ever come back, this place would be one huge one! Oh.. Not to mention, I caught a spectacular Aurora right outside the door on the very night I arrived. This place is a lucky spot!! ❤️❤️

Lacy's place is absolutely perfect for a northern lights trip!! The hot tub/window face north which is ideal for viewing. We had insane northern light shows both night we were there. The set up is so perfect - you may have an incredible show from the hot tub or you can wait inside cozy in bed with a great view until they come out. Would think ahead and try to plan meals for sure - you have one pan and that's really all so would just try to think ahead.

We went to fairbanks to see the Aurora and we couldn't have chosen a better place. The hot tub was great. The night skies were amazing. We didn't have to go far in the bitter cold. This was important to us because we had our 85 yr old mother with us. They had a lot of games and puzzles to keep us occupied until it got a little warm during the day. Just the small stretch of road leading to the house was a little icy but otherwise all the roads were clear. We really enjoyed our stay and our first experience of Alaska winter.

Remi and Matt were always available. Their home was superb, fantastic location a few miles from town, peaceful and private and fully equipped. We loved our stay and appreciated all the small touches such as great linens, kitchen accessories, and helpful guidelines. Thank you Remi and Matt!

An affordable and comfortable cabin option for Fairbanks. Kept us warm and well rested after a long day of driving.

I had a great stay at this cozy cabin! It was clean, cute, and very warm inside—perfect for the cold weather. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything you might need, and the owner was extremely communicative and responsive. The location is quite convenient, just 15 minutes from downtown Fairbanks, yet still very quiet and peaceful. No complaints at all—the cabin is exactly as described. Would definitely recommend!

Staying at this cabin was life changing! I really don’t want the word to get out as I want to visit again in the future and don’t want it to be booked solid! The location is far enough away from town and in quiet area, but close enough that I didn’t have to leave so early for the airport. I had better viewing of the northern lights from this cabin than up at Murphy Dome! I could watch them through the windows from the bed. There was a welcome basket with goodies and a hand written note. This place was PERFECT! I cannot wait to return again! Thank you so much for your amazing hospitality!

The cabin is in a location with close proximity to the Clear Summit for aurora viewing and grocery shopping in downtown Fairbanks. I got to see the northern light at both the cabin and the Clear Summit. I also enjoyed the serenity of woods surrounding the cabin and the clear starry night sky above it.

Bill came to check in on us twice, first time he came to say hi and we got to know each other and he shared a lot of interesting stories and gave us local recommendations. Second time he purposely came to say goodbye and he let us stayed a few hours more in the cabin to rest. Bill shared with us his idea of renovating the place to make it better (we already thought it was good enough) and how he improved his service as a host. The place was amazing, clean, and equipped with everything that you need, all kinds of condiments, all kinds of sauces, all kinds of teas and plenty of coffees, all kinds of toiletries (lotion, shaving cream etc), some first aid kit, warming patches for winter, a lot of useful stuffs that you wouldn’t think of! Fantastic place and comfortable cabin! It was heartwarming and we felt like we were at home. Thanks Bill!

Wow! What a beautiful, magical place! The hosts reached out in advance with helpful information and a warm welcome, and made us feel so at home! The cabin was darling and had everything we needed, including a beautiful display of the northern lights on our second night! We were sad to leave at the end of our stay and would love to come back again soon!

Very comfortable and clean cabin, almost everything as described. There was plenty of firewood for bonfire and clean air, very comfortable bed. Exactly this cabin located near the road, I missed that in description or it wasn’t specified, - so I didn’t feel privacy here.. Comment: cabin wasn’t ready when I arrived at check in time. Truly to say next time I would choose another option. But in general in combination with snowfall it was very cool!!

Loved my stay!! This is a cute little cabin with lots of room. I took some amazing pictures of the Northern Lights right from the front porch!! Made the drive out to the viewing area the following night but the photos were no comparison to those I took at the cabin. My only word of caution, I am a person who loves to cook and while adequately stocked for creating most dishes, there are no sheet pans, or casserole dishes, mixing bowls, etc. I will know next trip to be a little more prepared. I certainly don't mind bringing what I need. Thanks again Trudy!!!

Beautiful, well-kept and cozy! It was the perfect amount of space for my husband and I—with a spectacular view of the Northern Lights.

The cabin was beautiful! I loved the big windows so you can enjoy the views of the surrounding forest of trees! It was quiet, clean, comfortable and well supplied with kitchenware and utensils. Even though there are regular deliveries of water, Hanna still came to check the water level to ensure I would not run out during my 16 night stay. She was happy to make recommendations for my inquiries. I have Verizon and had no issues with cell service. I would absolutely stay here again!

We loved staying here! It was close enough to Fairbanks to not feel far out, but far enough away to feel like we were staying at a cozy lil cabin in the woods :) Brooke was a great host! She was easy to communicate with and kindly checked in with us to make sure things were going smoothly! 12/10 stay, I can’t recommend this place enough :)

Amazing stay. Everything was so comfy and cozy! Amenities were as described. Couldn’t have been happier with the cabin! Decorated very well - so ALASKA!! We were here to visit our son, daughter-in-law, and grandson at Eielson AFB. Super convenient to Eielson AFB and Fairbanks - right in the middle! We will definitely stay here again! Wow! We can’t say enough about Tanglewood Inn! We came here to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary and we loved it here! It met and exceeded all of our expectations. From the easy drive and easy to get to, it was just far enough from town that we got away from the city to be able to see the lights at night, but it wasn’t too far away to come and go when we wanted to go do something or eat. Jessica has put so much thought into this place it makes you feel at home. The snacks when you arrive, the coffee pods the next morning after coming in on a late flight, the shampoo/conditioner that we didn’t have to pack on our flight there, the warmest blankets and comfortable bed and pillows. We stayed 7 days and was lucky enough to see the lights at least 4 nights from the porch and even laying in the bed our last night. Everything was perfect from details, views, advice or recommendations I highly recommend visiting Tanglewood Inn.

Perfect for seeing the Northern Lights from the house! Lots of windows so we could look for signs of the aurora, and easily pop outside and see the entire sky from the driveway! Being on a lake with very few houses nearby gave us great viewing. And we lucked out - one night, we had a huge display of the aurora spanning the sky! This is the place if aurora hunting is what you want, and you want to avoid spending hours in the cold waiting for it! Plus it's close to everything (restaurants, shops, freeway) so you don't have to worry about driving on snow/ice for miles to get there, but you feel like you're in your own personal cabin in the woods once you're there!

Best stay in Fairbanks!! I will be back. Cozy tiny house to watch and learn about Auroras and Photography. It was absolutely perfect for my husband and I.
