Amy was a wonderful host, providing super-prompt responses and proactively sharing tips and helpful information. The house is beautiful and in a great location, close to both Eureka and Arcata—as well as great hiking. The house was a perfect “home base” while visiting family for the thanksgiving holiday. While we didn’t have children with us, this would be a great home for kids too—lots of toys, games, and great communal areas. We would love to come back again! Thanks again!

The place is in a really good location. The skylight in the bathroom was a nice surprise. The hot tub in the backyard was nice after a long day of hiking. Overall a great experience.

Perfect for our short trip to the redwoods. Plenty of space for our family of four but could easily accommodate three couples. Secluded but an easy drive to the parks and not far from restaurants etc. in Trinidad. Very new but charming house - spotless with great kitchen and living area. Large green lawn with lovely views of the ocean. Hot tub was a highlight for our kids. Seth was very responsive and helpful. Next time we will book a longer stay!

We really enjoyed our stay at Erik’s. He was very responsive with the few questions we had. The air hockey and foosball tables were an absolute hit with our kids!

This is our 2nd visit to Lala’s house and we were so impressed. Lala has thought of everything, from the well stocked kitchen to the raincoats and cooler for picnics, we had everything needed to make my family’s stay comfortable. It is conveniently located just 30 minutes from the redwoods which is my favorite place on earth ❤️ Lala communicated with us throughout our stay to make sure all our needs were met. We will definitely be staying at this home again, ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amber was very nice, responsive, accommodating to our needs. The house is beautiful and there were lots of thoughtful touches. The beds were very comfortable for us and we all had great sleep. The area is peaceful. Definitely recommend!

We absolutely loved staying at this beautiful craftsman style home. The location was perfect and within a 5 minute walk to the very charming business district in Ferndale with great eateries and amazing local stores. The house was very well maintained and had everything you could possibly need, including a Keurig coffee maker with various pods with creamer in the refrigerator and a spice rack with any spice you could need. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow and having a TV in the living room and each bedroom allowed all of us to watch exactly what we wanted. There were extra blankets in each bedroom and the beds were very comfortable. I often have trouble sleeping while traveling and slept like a baby. A must is having lunch or dinner at Tuyas...the food was fantastic, Heart & Soul for baked goods and the Farmer's Daughter for ice cream & gifts. The host, Denise, was very responsive and I would HIGHLY recommend this rental if you plan on visiting Ferndale.

Beautiful, peaceful, and very private. Easy check in and out. Lovely, stocked kitchen and modern bathroom. I did hear Daniela practice her piano 2-3 times in the unit above me, which she had told me about. Her playing is amazing, and was a welcome sound. My only criticism is not with Daniela’s place at all, but with the neighborhood. The area doesn’t have any street lights, and it makes it very difficult to see.

Excellent location and great value, thoughtful and professional hosts, really enjoyed and appreciated staying here. Highly recommend to any business or vacationing travelers with a canine companion!

Katie was so knowledgeable on the area, and helped inform us on the area like no other local could! When we first walked into the house the smell of freshly baked bread filled the room. She made us bread to eat! I ate that bread every day I was there. Delicious. The kitchen was clean and had plenty of the amenities/tools a kitchen should have. We cooked every day rather than going out because we enjoyed cooking there so much! The rooms are tidy and comfy. The washer and dryer were a plus! Having the outside patio area was peaceful and nice to have. So close to cal poly and so close to downtown, yet with plenty of privacy. I recommend Katie’s place wholeheartedly!

My boyfriend and I stayed here for a few days while we hiked in the redwood forest. It was a clean and modern spot that was near local restaurants, stores, and gas before we set off on our day's adventure!

Clean, peaceful, enjoyable getaway. We were greeted by the household dogs, Lucy and Ollie, who made our wonderful stay even better. The dogs were so sweet and friendly. We felt safe staying here and hosts were helpful and responsive.

Overall, this was a great place to stay. The only complaint was there was a strange smell, but it was kind of like maybe a stale smell like just somebody isn’t there all the time…

I will stay here again. Very convenient, quiet, clean, good value, and responsive hosts. I stayed for 8 nights in January, so I have a good feel for the place. The bed, sofa, kitchen appliances, and bathroom fixtures are all pretty new and in very good condition. Communications were very good. I recommend this place.

If this place is available book it! the location is magnificent and the house has all the amenities you could ask for. Carl is awesome and responsive immediately. The property is private and beautiful with huge trees and creek running fifty feet from the house. The town, Trinidad, is less than a mile away and may honestly be the nicest town I've ever seen. Places like this one are exactly why people use Airbnb instead booking at La Quinta or whatever.

Wow! Every time I come to see my family in Humboldt from now on, I plan to stay here. Close to convenience in both Arcata and Mckinlyville, but so peaceful, vast, and beautiful that it was truly a retreat. It is a great launching point for those looking to adventure in Humboldt. Cozy, cute, thoughtful, clean, such a gorgeous setting. I could have stayed weeks. Looking forward to getting to enjoy the space again! Have already recommended to others. Was also ideal for having a pup- I was able to tire him out with walks and fetch before visiting family. Really made my trip all the more lovely. Thank you for sharing this space!!!

A wonderful retreat amongst the redwood trees. We very much enjoyed this peaceful and beautiful place. We were able to relax and enjoy the surroundings and very clean and beautiful house.

Devon was an amazing and responsive host! They were very flexible with our last minute changes and made us feel at home. I came with friends to get away for a weekend over spring break and it was a perfect stay after hiking the redwoods all day!

Loved staying at this airbnb! The location was great and it had everything you needed, not to mention the cute decor! Heater worked well, plenty of blankets for colder nights, and the outdoor fire pit was a nice touch. 10/10 would recommend to a friend!

Quaint, relaxing, with green and luscious surroundings as soon as you step out of the door. The host has done a wonderful job making sure that this little cabin in the woods is private, quiet, clean and comfortable with all of the amenities of home. Absolutely loved it and didn’t want to leave. We’ll definitely be back!!!

Bren and Nico were so welcoming and friendly! The place has a quaint rural cabin feel. Navigating to the beach was not very intuitive for us, but they were happy to assist. The fireplace was no longer there, but there were heaters (which were not needed). All in all, it was a very nice experience. We only spent one night, but would go back and stay longer if/when we head that way again. We also recommend it to others. Enjoy!
