2nd time staying here for a guys ski weekend! everyone was stoked to stay here again! it is in great proximity to sunday river and 2 doors down from the matterhorn ski bar! hot tub was awesome and the ping pong table in the basement was fun! we did alot of cooking at the house and the kitchen and dinning room where very spacious! we all loved that log cabin feel and being in the mountains!

Just returned from the most fantastic 2 weeks exploring the US which included a weeks stay at Kiwi Lodge. Where to start? This was exactly as described and the perfect base for exploring Maine. The property was spotless and has all the amenities needed for a comfortable stay. 3 beautiful bedrooms, 2 great sized bathrooms, wonderful living area and kitchen and fantastic games room. Hot tub was brilliant. The location on the lake is just perfect, we had the lake to ourselves and took the canoe out. Nearest town of Farmington has all the shops and cafes you’d need. The communication from Kay was great from the day we booked, and recommendations we took her up on were all absolutely spot on. Thank you Kay and thank you Kiwi Lodge for a holiday to remember!

This was our second year here for our annual ski trip and love the home! It’s close to the mountain, the bedrooms and bathrooms are perfect, and the living room and kitchen are perfect for our group! The kitchen is well equipped with appliances and gadgets you need when cooking away from home. We love the hot tub too! Can’t wait to be back next year!

Sherri’s place was great- our family stayed during a snow storm and we felt safe and cozy. The hot tub and string lights outside were a lovely touch- the hot tub felt new and very easy to use. Our kids enjoyed feeding the deer each day and it’s a short drive to Sugarloaf for great skiing. We’d love to come back!

We cozied in for a couple of days, highlights were playing board games and the hot tub on the deck. Pretty pond just steps away. The heart of the cabin is the back deck.

Held our yearly family snowmobile trip here. The place is big with plenty of room. The view is fantastic.

Stayed here for a ski weekend at sugarloaf and it was great! Super charming cabin, easy to get to and only a 30 minute drive to the mountain. This is our second time staying here, we love the quiet surroundings and relaxed atmosphere. The hot tub wasn’t super clean when we got there, but we messaged the host and someone came to clean it the next morning so we really appreciated the responsiveness. We would come back!

We enjoyed our stay at the cabin. It had everything we needed. It was clean and quiet. We liked the proximity to snowmobile trails, the pellet stove, and the TV options. Thanks and we will be back.

Charming little cottage on the lake! Had a lot of fun, easy to get to town and the lake was serene and peaceful. Great place to stay!

A very cozy spot in a very beautiful spot. Liz was incredibly responsive and flexible. All needs were met during our stay. No WiFi was not an issue since cell service was very good. A great spot if you’re looking to do snow sports in the surrounding area.

This was our second stay at the Sugar Shack as it’s a great spot when skiing Sugarloaf. I really appreciate the well seasoned cast iron pans instead of using scratched up and flaking nonstick ones found at most Airbnbs. There are plenty of hooks to hang your ski gear. It’s also one of the few we’ve rented where I didn’t have to wash the glasses after pulling them out of the cabinet. Clearly the cleaner is very conscientious. We will definitely book again when returning to the area.

We have rented this adorable log cabin many times and look forward to our next visit! The host is very responsive and friendly and we can not recommend this lovely stay enough.

absolutely awesome, maybe a storage of firewood would be the only possible thing to complete the stay, but not necessary as the furnace works perfectly

This cabin was perfect for all our needs. We had three beautiful ski days at Sunday River and felt blessed to bring our dogs with us on this little trip. Everything was clean, warm, and comfortable. We certainly felt right at home and would love to stay at the cabin sometime in the summer. The cabin sits on a little river in the middle of almost no where and yet close enough for anything you need.

Hope and Lloyd’s cottage was a wonderful getaway - a beautiful place to relax and unwind. We loved being able to walk out the door and enjoy peaceful long walks with our dog along the many trails - we especially appreciated the hand drawn map of the area as our guide. Can’t wait to return and explore more!

After staying in many hotels and AirBnBs across the country, I have never been in such a beautiful, clean and accommodating residence. Jason is extremely responsive and cordial, and the Evergreen Lodge is gorgeous. You’re in the middle of nature but the accommodations are 5-star. Minutes from both Saddleback ski area and town, his home is perfectly located. We hope to stay with him again next year during Saddlebacks Maine Adaptive event for children with amputations- to this point, his home was accessible for my son who wears a prosthetic as well. Such a great home all around!

if ur lookin for a place right near Sugarloaf and about 45 min to Saddleback then ur in luck, exactly what we needed for 4 days of riding.

We had a great time at the cabin despite it raining during our ski days. Location is perfect for all that Sugarloaf has to offer. Would definitely look to stay here again!

Would highly recommend booking this cabin! My friends and I stayed here for a Saddleback ski weekend and this cabin felt like home. Fully stocked kitchen and comfortable bed it felt very homely. My friends and I were comfortable the whole stay. Steve was very proactive and helpful before and during our stay. Fantastic host! Would love to book this again in the future!
