We loved our stay at Surridge Cottage! The location was so peaceful and secluded - we loved spending our eve in the hot-tub star gazing. The cottage itself was perfect for four people and lovingly restored. There’s lots to see and do nearby - we went on some great walks and had lunch nearby at Spelt, which was delicious! Highly recommended ☺️

As a family we had the best weekend at Miranda’s home. The whole place was so comfortable, with the kitchen views, hot tub, family rooms, and downstairs wet room a highlight. It was such a good base for lots of walks and pubs but be prepared for the hills!! Everything was perfect and everything we could have expected, we were so happy and ended up having the nicest relaxing weekend. Miranda is a lovely, kind host who always made me feel welcome and that I could have asked anything. 100% recommend to anyone else considering this stay :)

A truly beautiful get away in a great location. The loft is immaculate and has everything you could think of or need. The host’s communication is excellent and all amenities are walkable. The hot tub is a real bonus. We will 100% be back

This lodge was amazing, great value, big, spacious and beautiful. We really lucked out with the weather so could sit outside on the decking in the sun during the day. Lots of communal space for eating, cooking, playing games and chilling out in the evenings. Clean, tidy and with loads of amenities. Felt new and modern, really bright and airy whilst also being warm and cosy. Really close walk to the beautiful beach at Croyde and easy driving distance to lots of other beaches and things to do. Hot tub was an amazing bonus addition which we enjoyed in the evenings. Some reviews mentioned privacy and the campsite nearby - we weren’t worried about this staying in Feb/March but for anyone that is concerned there is now screen fence around the lodge so you would feel nicely secluded. Would really recommend - we didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to come back!

Had a fabulous stay at Olivia’s Orchard cottage. Lots to do with farm animals around, Games room, outdoor games and lots of walks to relax and unwind at the property. Property was in proximity to Plymouth and Looe and found it very convenient to explore by car from here.

Absoloute Hidden Gem, 300 year old cottage very homely and peaceful with beautiful surroundings and lots of walks especially for our Jack russell Reggie who had an amazing time, cottage is absoloutley as described and exactly as the photos show, shame about the downstairs toilet being blocked but with two ensuites in the bedrooms this wasn't an issue, and Ceri and Daniel were very responsive to the issue, you do need to go careful coming down the stairs,as my husband found out on the first night 🤣 but some very lovely features with an added bonus of a hot tub which we made full use of,hosts very responsive and helpful would highly recommend to friends and family x

We enjoyed our stay at Vine Cottage. The place had a home from home feel, was clean and well maintained and equipped with everything we needed. Lovely big towels, fresh white bed linen and comfy beds. The outside area was lovely and we loved the hot tub. Check in/out was straight forward and Gill (and family) were very helpful and responded promptly before and during our stay. Thank you for a lovely stay.

We stayed for two nights on our honeymoon and it was perfect! The location is so peaceful and the hot tub is as a nice addition. We also used the spa, the plunge pool was an experience and the steam room was lovely too. The land is stunning and we went on a lovely walk with our dog. Kaye and her husband were lovely and gave us some local recommendations. Would definitely recommend!

Susan and Jim went out of their way to accommodate us. We were arriving from 3 different locations at different times hence their flexibility was brilliant. The location is really stunning and unspoilt. The villages are really attractive and the views are amazing. Despite the weather being quite wintery, we had a wonderful time and saw some amazing sights. Thanks for having us!

A very clean, cosy, well equipped property, including some personal touches. We took full advantage of the hot tub and were very lucky with the weather, so able to relax in the peaceful and private surroundings in the spring sunshine, while allowing our dog to explore the enclosed grounds. There are pubs locally that serves food but we did a shop in Bridgwater prior to arrival and ate mostly in the property. Full location and access details provided in advance and contact prior and during were perfect. We needed a few days to recharge our batteries and this lodge ticked all the boxes.

Alison was lovely and communicated quickly and informatively. The cottage is gorgeous with a lovely view of the sky on the decking! Would definitely visit again. Thank you!

What a gem of a place. Tranquil, lovely views from the bedroom, cosy cottage with a relaxing modern feel to it. Thankful that Chris/Freya could accommodate at the last minute, as we booked the night before quite late. We had a lovely surprise when we arrived, to find out a few lambs were resting in the small barn next to our garden patio with their mamas before they could be released into the field. It was such a highlight seeing the lambs jump around and stretch their legs as we sipped our coffees in the morning. Great location, approx 40min drive to Heddon Valley (we did a 24km run/hike from Heddon to Combe Martin, with a stop and looped back), and it's a 12min drive to Withypool if you want to do a big circular loop approx 12km to the Tarr Steps and back. You will have suggestions of places to visit in the welcome pack and a mal on the wall. The cottage comes with all the kitchen appliances you need. We also got to purchase some fresh eggs too, tasty! A perfect short weekend stay :)

Great stay in Braunton. The cottage had all the home comforts and own parking space which was incredibly helpful. The location was fantastic for exploring Braunton and the North Devon coast. Nicola was very responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. Would definitely stay again.

What a great stay we had at Sarah&Gary’s cottage. The cottage is fully equipped with everything needed for shorter or longer stays. Quirky and full of character! Sarah also left some fresh free range eggs for us, which were yummy for our breakfast. Our children loved all the animals especially the goats.. the most friendly goat we ever came across, Honey was the highlight. Very easy access to the coast, restaurants and fun days out. We will definitely stay again there. 100% recommend it!

This was the most beautiful place to stay for a peaceful and quiet break. The cottage was lovely and clean and exactly as shown in the photos on the site. Clean and well presented and the beds were so comfortable. We have stayed in many cottages and it was a delight to actually sleep in a comfortable bed and sit on comfortable sofas rather than the rock hard beds and dilapidated sofas normally provided in a lot of cottages. Everything was catered for and the cottage was warm and welcoming. The area is stunning and we had lots of places to visit within easy driving distance. The hosts were very friendly and very helpful. We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay and the dogs enjoyed the large garden as well. We loved it !

What an idyllic place ... we loved staying here and would definitely recommend it to others looking for a getaway. We were welcomed by 2 buzzards along the driveway, saw deer on the property and enjoyed a couple of lovely local walks. The location is a short drive from many stunning beaches - sadly we didn't have time to explore all the local recommendations of towns and pubs as we were only here for 2 nights. We'll have to come back another time! Thank you for your hospitality Clive.

Communication with Mark was great. The house is really lovely, as described, and the oak extension is great. It is tastefully decorated and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay and our 3 year old grandchild slept well in the peace and quiet. Thank you Mark.... we definitely would like to return.

We can sum up Simons cottage in one word, 'Perfect'!!! What a gem of a find, great location, very clean and comfortable and a great base to see the North Devon coast from. The village locals were lovely, staff at The Golden Lion and Community Shop were very friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed star gazing in the hot tub and taking full advantage of the amenities the cottage has to offers. Our 2 girls, 6 and 9 thoroughly enjoyed it too and didnt want to leave!!! Thank you Simon, we will be back!!! P&L

Great communication with hosts after Air B&B posted wrong postcode on site. I know hosts will have corrected this now. Cottage was super clean, and very quiet, with comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen for home cooking,and beautiful rural views to the rear. Pool, gym, and hot tub a lovely bonus!! Easy links for Plymouth, Devon or Cornwall. Enjoyed our stay! Thank you Frances, for working hard to make a beautiful home stay at Ash!

One of the best places I've ever stayed. The host laid out age appropriate toys just for my baby girl, the nursery was stunning and all the beautiful vintage toys made it feel magical. The whole property's aesthetic was carefully curated with beautiful furniture, decor and collectables, but also made you feel right at home from the first step inside. The garden was maintained to an impeccable standard and had gorgeous play equipment including the little cottage shed with playhouse set up. Listening to the birds on the morning as light poured into the living room felt heavenly. The host was very friendly and attentive throughout the whole visit, super host status very well deserved. We hope to stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking to get away into the countryside.

Had a great time even though weather was bit grey first couple of days. Gorgeous cottage, friendly host and lovely area. Dogs also had a great time and made themselves at home in the fully enclosed garden. Super peaceful location and only a short drive to beautiful beaches and plenty of walks. Thank you for having us, will be back soon! X

We can't recommend this property highly enough. It's in a lovely, tranquil spot with woodland walks virtually on the doorstep and we loved the feeling of staying in part of such a lovely house, not least the former well in the kitchen and the giant fish pool to the front of the building. The sitting room / kitchen is well equipped and comfortable but the bedroom stands out with its vaulted ceiling, great bedside lights and fabulous view. Wish we could have stayed more than two nights. Simon and Gail

Scrumpy Cottage was such a peaceful & comfortable place to stay. Well equipped kitchen, comfy beds, cute little yard to sit out in the sun. Only 1 minute walk to the pub which was friendly & the food was great. Perry’s Cider was less than 5 min stroll thru the village & it had a charming shop & cafe. Good dog walks from the front door of the cottage. We met Andrew & Suzy to say Hi, very friendly, in fact all the locals we met around the village were very friendly. The parking space is slightly away from the cottage but this was not a problem for us at all, literally 30 seconds walk. We would definitely stay here again without hesitation.
