Lovely apartment, in a perfect location in the heart of Salcombe. Given the weather was pretty terrible, we had a great long weekend in Salcombe - the apartment was both cosy and comfortable, but had plenty of space for us. Great facilities, comfortable beds and sofa, and beautiful views through the buildings across the estuary. Great comms from the hosts - would definitely stay again. Recommend the Winking Prawn for lunch and the Kings Arms for dinner. The Fortesque became our local for beers, decent wine and a pool table.

This was a great house, extremely clean and well stocked with kitchen and household items. Views of mariner were amazing. Bridget our host gave clear instructions and lots of recommendations. Plenty of room for all guests in the house and ample parking. Was walkable to local pubs, beach and ferries. Would definitely stay here again

Lovely short stay with kids. Easy to walk to the beach, shops, soft play, boat trips etc etc. No issues at all, we were able to get on with enjoying the area. The house was very very clean and had everything we needed. Geoff answered a couple of small queries promptly. We would definitely stay again if it was available.

We loved the house! The location was excellent being half way up the high street with a clear view of the sea and the secret stairway out the back of the kitchen up to the roof garden and fire pit was a real treat. The living room fire place was a delight and the wood fuel was very well stocked. The kitchen was a good size and very well lit with natural light thanks to the sky light. The beds were comfortable with good quality bed linen. Thank you Freya for a fantastic stay!

A beautiful home in a superb location. We shall definitely return. Jan was a perfect host and extremely thoughtful and responsive with messages. She made the house feel like home with the thoughtful inclusion of little things that made our stay more comfortable and enjoyed. The beds were extremely comfortable and I am not usually a great sleeper, however the entire family slept excellently for the duration. Highly recommended property.

Caroline is very friendly and the house is clean, well appointed and spacious.

The place suited all six of us very well. There was enough space for us all. Kitchen a good size and well kitted out. We were particularly grateful for bread/eggs/milk/biscuits etc available on our arrival after a long journey from Glasgow.

We had a great time at Carols place. Close to ilfracombe tourist spot. Lovely house and fantastic view! Everything you need is there already! Clean, tidy and spacious! The play room is spot on as our kids enjoyed the toys etc... we couldn't find any fault aside from difficult to find the parking outside house. Aside from that, Super holiday experience. Great Host too!

Another great stay at Stones Throw Cottage with my 2 young boys. Very nicely done, uncluttered and homely, clean, and comfortable. Everything you need in the kitchen. Lovely hot shower! Excellent location in a quiet road with the beach just a 5 mini walk away! Manor gardens is a lovely space 5 mins the other way and connects to a walkway to the other end of the beach which is away from the road too - comes out at the sensory garden next to the Pavillion theatre & cafe. Excellent communication with Deborah before and during stay. Highly recommend. Will return!

We loved staying here! Jennie was superb at communication, from her very clear instructions and recommendations to answering any queries. Jennie's place is warm, clean and a pleasure to stay in. It is very comfortable with EVERYTHING you need - it is very well thought out and beautifully decorated and nicely furnished. The showers are hot and beds comfortable. The views from the property are lovely. The surrounding area is great to explore, with great places to eat and the short ferry to Plymouth is easy to catch. We wouldn't hestitate to stay here again and to recommend it to others.

Church View Cottage is in a lovely spot. It’s in the centre of town but very peaceful. I stayed for a month and it felt like home. Everything was spotless, the kitchen is well equipped, the shower is powerful and the bed is very comfortable. Neil and Marilyn are friendly and thoughtful hosts.

If you're a large group then this is a great find. It's on the high street so great access to shops, pubs and restaurants, but also it's not too noisy. Beds are comfy and the showers are powerful - what more could you want!

Had a fantastic stay at Fionas home.Communication was excellent and Fiona made us feel very welcome (lovely scones and Prosecco on arrival.Home was well equipped and immaculate.

Pat & Allan we're the perfect hosts from the beginning of the booking and throughout our stay. Nothing was ever too much trouble and responded very prompt. Their home was a home away from a home and staying with our two children age 4 and 2 and grandparents this was the perfect setting for us. Thank you so much again, it was the perfect house for us to stay in whilst we celebrated my sister getting married at St Audries park.

Very clean, comfortable and well equipped. Great location: in the heart of the Barbican without the noise. Even had an absurd superyacht as a neighbour on our last night (it moored up just below the flat in the harbour). Proximity to Jacka Bakery was not taken for granted. Lovely.

Wonderful weekend. The house is everything you could ask for. Walking distance for the town. Andrew explains the road is narrow and it is. But this didn’t bother us as it makes it very quiet. The house was perfect for our stay visiting our son for families day at the Royal Britannia Naval college. It was walking distance to the college. The house had everything you needed and was very clean and warm. Plenty of space for us all. Thank you for our stay. Just a shame it’s not available for his Passing Out Parade dates in August! 😢

We enjoyed Christmas here. Debbie was really helpful and replied to me quickly about the booking. The house was perfect for a family Christmas with lots of space and kids toys/ game too. We’d go back again :)

Really enjoyable stay. Our family loved the house and the location. The house is beautiful and really made the difference for our holiday. The downstairs kitchen area is a great space and made meal times fun and enjoyable. Cinema room was then a great place to just relax in the evenings. The house just felt luxurious and it's clear that a lot of time and thought was put into it! Plenty to do in the local area as well, which was nice as we didn't have to drive much once we arrived. Whilst our visit was not really for sightseeing, I would highly recommend Susan’s lovely home for anyone wishing to explore Taunton & the surrounding area. The house is beautifully kept with lovely character features. It is so spacious inside & very generously fitted out with delightful period furniture & a well-equipped kitchen. The small challenge of on-road parking turned out not to be an issue as we easily found spaces in the streets close by. I would highly recommend Sidwick House

We stayed here over the Bank Holiday weekend & had a lovely time visiting family nearby. Peter’s house was very handy for both the town centre & our nephew’s home. We were able to park in the next street along & actually walked everywhere for the rest of our stay. Peter left a comprehensive guide to tell us everything we needed to know. The house was spacious, everything was spotlessly clean & we felt very much at home there. We wouldn’t hesitate to book the house again when we next visit Taunton.

Affordable. Cozy. Warm and homey. Delia's place had everything you'd need right down to the toilet rolls! The place was clean, tidy and just like home away from home. Delia was a fantastic host. very responsive. thorough with her responses and her information booklet (Which we absolutely loved!) and having books and leaflets in the house for nearby attractions was a lovely addition. we can't thank Delia enough for such an affordable use of her home. thank you so so much. I hope we are down by you again soon!!!
