We stayed in apartment 38 for a week in July 2021. It exceeded my expectations and the pictures do not do it justice (the pictures make it look a bit dated but it really isn’t). It is a lovely 3 bed apartment - very clean throughout. The bedrooms and bathroom are on the first floor and the stairs lead up to the living area and kitchen! The kitchen comes with a fridge, dishwasher, cooker and oven. You also get all your basic cooking utensils and dishes alongside cleaning products including dishwasher tablets. One thing I would suggest is taking some tupperware to store your food in or if you want to make a picnic. The description also stated they provided cooking oil - but there wasn’t any - so it’s worth taking some if you want to make a full english in the morning. We ordered a Tesco online shop which was delivered straight to the apartment without any problems. Note, the pools (indoor and outdoor) are not heated so can be quite cold. The indoor pool area is a bit tired looking with the paint peeling off the floor - but the kids still had a fab time. The gym is also well equipped with weight and cardio machines…but again some of the padding on the machines are a bit worn. Overall we had a fab time, the views are amazing. Meadfoot beach is literally on the doorstep and the town is only a 15min walk away. Paignton beach (10min drive) is great for the kids if you want a bit more hustle and bustle i.e. Pier with arcades and fairground. Also recommend The Inn on the Green for lovely pub grub - they are directly opposite the Paignton pier and the staff were fab too.

Dawn & Richard were fantastic hosts. The accommodation was fantastic and spotless. Bed was very comfortable with great blinds to block out the light and the bathroom was lovely and clean. Couldn’t fault anything would definitely return.

west bay is lovely, and this little flat is right in the middle. it has everything you need.

The Bay House apartment was a great place for a short break. The place was clean, bright and airy with amazing views. It was lovely to sit and watch the boats and fishermen in the harbour. The bed was extremely comfortable with pristine linens. The bathroom was stocked with shower gels and shampoos. Westbay itself is a delightful little harbour town with plenty to see and do on a sunny day. Kiosks line the harbour selling ice creams, fish and chips etc. All in all I would recommend the apartment and the location.

View from main windows is spectacular, straight out onto the sea. Very helpful and flexible host, especially with check in and out times which really helped us. Overall a fantastic stay.

This was a first class stay. The studio was spotless, comfy and well-equipped. There was a lovely extra touch of home made chocolates on arrival. The host was very helpful, friendly and unobtrusive. Recommend!

Cannot fault this place and if this is the area you wish to visit, this is the place to stay. The loft is spotless with ample room and a lovely sunrise over the lake across the road is not to be missed. Jen is a terrific host and extremely friendly and approachable. She is proactive in the communication and offers extremely helpful advice on directions and things to do in the area. I will be looking to go back to the area again later this summer and will certainly be looking to stay with Jen again!

Enjoyed our stay very much, two excellent (but with different vibes) pubs a 5 minute walk away. Check food serving days though, Sunday to Tuesdays is limited (same applies over the water in Dartmouth). Easy and frequent passenger ferry and vehicle service to and from Dartmouth five minutes walk at bottom of road . Great vista from the apartment. Two excellent National Trust properties nearby, and lots of scenic walking. Plenty of exercise thanks to the gradients !

We had a fantastic stay. Beautiful house and location, the beach was perfect for our 2 year old and Labrador. Lots of beautiful places to visit. The surrounding roads are all single track and a bit challenging but there’s not a lot of traffic so if you take your time you’re fine. The hosts were really responsive, flexible and helpful with our last minute change of plans due to illness. Would definitely recommend.

We had a very comfortable stay in beautiful surroundings, easy to reach local facilities. The view out over the coast was so lovely and very interesting watching both the sea and the boats coming and going. The house was clean and comfortable with plenty of equipment and when needed the heating worked well. The Old bakery is well worth a visit particularly loved their cinnamon snails and pizzas. We would certainly recommend it and would consider returning at some point in the future. We enjoyed a relaxing and refreshing stay and enjoyed exploring a part of Cornwall we hadn’t really been to before.

I cannot begin to describe how lovely our stay was. Tristan is the most amazing host we have ever had at an AirBnb. He was responsive to questions, helpful, caring, and just so sweet. He even helped us back our giant rental van into the garage when we arrived. We had a perfect welcome basket upon our arrival and staples left for us in the fridge, so we had everything we needed for a delicious breakfast the next day. The house itself is even nicer than pictures show. It’s beautiful, modern, and clean. The beds were very comfortable, and having three full bathrooms and an additional half bathroom was amazing, especially for a party of 6 people. The location was perfect, the ocean views were gorgeous, and the home was so comfortable that we didn’t want to leave. Any time we visit Lyme Regis in the future, we will always stay here!

Great views across the river to Dartmouth, with a 2 min stroll down the hill to the ferry. You can sit and watch the steam train come in and out of the station from the fourth floor terrace. Bus stop opposite which runs a buses to Brixham and Paignton every hour.

Stayed for around 4 nights and had an absolutely wonderful winter holidays together with my young family. The house is stunning the interior design is lovely and and the views are heavenly. Log fire with plenty of fuel was a big hit! pool and hotub a once a day at least activity for the kids especially during bank holidays. The fully stocked playroom was perfect for our young children. Really captured some great memories together with our family in this peaceful location and setting and came away wanting more!

9 of us stayed three nights in November 2024. The apartment is amazing with spectacular views. Very clean, well equipped and comfortable. The balcony is the highlight with plenty of furniture and wide ranging views. Great location being a short stroll to town. Some of our party enjoyed the spa passes which is a nice added bonus. Recommend the Crab Shed restaurant. The house could have done with a few more consumables like dishwasher tablets and toilet roll. Not sure we should be buying those over a three night stay given the price of the accommodation. We loved it though. Highly recommended.

The Dragon’s Nest is a great house in a central location in Brixham. Plenty of local amenities and recommendations from the host. The house is set over several floors so was ideal for us as a 3 generation family staying. Plenty of cutlery and crockery for children and a high chair available. Well stocked kitchen including salt/pepper/oil. Lynn was really quick to reply to any message I sent her, and kindly arranged early check in and late check out for us. She also kindly allowed us a shorter stay than they would otherwise have agreed to over the Easter holiday period. We had a fantastic stay. Thank you.

Lovely house, nicely furnished, clean and today with a great out side space. Views are superb. We really loved the house and would definitely try and book again when we’re next in Devon.

We had a great short break away. The apartment was clean, comfortable and exactly as described. It is in a great location and would very much recommend others to visit this gem of a place.

Can’t recommend The Loft enough. Gorgeous place in a beautiful location with spectacular views. Had the most amazing few days there. Will definitely return

Great apartment with everything you need, a home from home. Finished to a high specification . Great location in Teignmouth centre, close to the bars/restaurants and parking. Matthew the host is very helpful and always available. One of my favourite Airbnb’s I’ve used.

Really enjoyed our stay, great location for exploring the area. The apartment was clean, comfortable and cosy. Beds were really comfortable, bathroom very small but fine for three of us for a few days. We would love to stay again if we return to West bay.

Nicola was a very attentive host and quick to respond. Beautiful historic apartment. Lots of space and spotlessly clean. Peaceful area and about a 10 minute ride to the Barbican and the Hoe if you love being by the sea.

This was our second visit to Carolyn's apartment in West Bay. We also visited out of season last time - West Bay has a lovely out of summer season vibe! There were plenty of shops and restaurants still open. We did have a dramatic storm for one day, but mostly the weather was dry, sunny and bracing! The apartment is in a great location, and is beautifully maintained - very clean and welcoming. Carolyn is a wonderful host - excellent communication and very useful information from entry details to local amenities.

Stayed here over the New Year period and it was perfect. Great location, the sea view was spectacular and the log burner was a great addition given the cold weather. Local pubs were so friendly and food was great. Will definitely return, thank you.

Easy to find, great location right in the heart of the Barbican within easy walking distance of pubs, bars, restaurants and local attractions including the harbour as well as shops. The property itself self is very well appointed ted and spotless. Added bonus of free parking and an electric car charger if needed.
