A beautiful house with everything you need and wonderful surroundings. Snaefellsnes is the place to live if you want a nature experience and many places to drive to.

What an experience with weather that brought blowing snow and wind gusts to add to the challenge of a visit in Winter!! Einar and Oli kept in touch and gave us great advice about navigating the conditions, plus we saw the Northern Lights! The cabin was perfect, really well equipped, with extras like spices and cooking oil. The things you don’t think to buy for a two night stay. It was warm, clean, charming and incredibly comfortable. The view and snowscape scenery was spectacular and we were well looked after on the way out too, clearing snow for us to drive safely on to the next destination.

Beautiful location and accommodation, decorated amazingly. Only thing to point out would be get your supplies well before you get to the location as no shops or restaurants nearby and even the ones local were not open as per the google search. Would definitely stay again

Great place to stay! Location is isolated, you are completely alone in the area (3 cabins in total). It was clean, cosy and relatively spacious. We loved that there were enough dishes to cook with, pepper salt and basic herbs. There even was hot cocoa powder wich we loved! The hot tub was very nice and hot, the massage jets didn’t work but that did not bother us.

Great base to explore the West. The house is a gem - it has everything one needs and more. The turntable and the collection of records brought us straight to our youth. The only suggestion would be tea cups. Sorry, we are from the UK :)

Perfect place for our group of 3 to spend two days on the peninsula.

We booked very last minute after seeing that the KP Index was high and wanted to try and capture northern lights over the iconic Kirjufell. This place is isolated with little light pollution giving us an opportunity to see northern lights from the balcony. Unfortunately, it was crazy windy when we stayed so way too cold to enjoy the outdoor sky gazing after returning from Kirkjufell. The place is gorgeous, well furnished, and had all the necessary amenities. Kjartan sent messages with necessary info when I first booked the place. I always try to keep our host informed of our plans and our arrival time. Kjartan was the first who did not respond to any of my messages. Fortunately, his location is not hard to find and we had no issues. However, if you need something, Kjartan may be hard to reach. Otherwise, we had a great 1 night stay here.

2 nuits au calme dans une petite maison de famille pleine de charme. Seul le bruit des moutons vient rompre le silence. La maison de Sigriður est chargée de souvenirs de familles, photos, objets désuets, déco vintage et c’est ce qui la rend si cosy. Déconnexion assurée Attention pour les personnes désireuses de modernité il n’y a pas de wifi, pas de lave vaisselle, pas de Micro-ondes, pas de Télé. Tout est simple mais propre. La vue du séjour est incroyable Bref un joli point de chute pour rayonner dans la péninsule qui finit notre roadtrip islandais en beauté !
