Alinas Haus hat unsere Erwartungen weit hinaus übertroffen. Die gemütliche Atmosphäre, die geschmackvolle und zweckmäßige Ausstattung, die wunderschöne Lage, schließlich Alinas liebe Unterstützung haben uns begeistert und wir waren sogar traurig "unser" Haus zu verlassen denn wir wären gerne noch länger geblieben. Die Lage ermöglicht eine leichte Erreichbarkeit aller Sehenswürdigkeiten. Wir waren zu Dritt und haben uns sehr gut eingerichtet. Für längere Aufenthälte braucht es vermutlich etwas Anpassungsfähigkeit denn es gibt keine Schränke und die zwei Betten im unteren Geschoss sind durch eine steile Leiter erreichbar.

Olaf's place might have been my favorite in the Faroes. The kitchen and living room were well appointed and very comfortable. The bedrooms are small, but each has its own lovely view out the window. I relished the sound of the stream outside mine (though the high winds prevented me from keeping my window open all night the first night). Gjogv might have been my favorite town too. Being there in September meant it was quite quiet — most of the homes are seasonal homes inhabited mainly in the summer — but that was very welcome. We happened to wake up the first morning to a gorgeous blue sky and sun, so that no doubt helped, but the location is simply spectacular (mountains on three sides, then sea, with even more dramatic mountains across the way). The gorge and the hike above it were both amazing. We saw vivid rainbows each morning. The nearby guest-house (Gjáargarður) also provided the best meal of our week in the Faroes. I would love to return someday.

Wir haben neunTage in diesem wunderschönen kleinen Haus von Rannvá verbracht und jeden Tag sehr genossen. Die Unterkunft bietet alles, was man auch für einen längeren Aufenthalt braucht. Die Einrichtung ist liebevoll gestaltet, die Betten sind bequem und warm, in den Räumen sind verschiedene Lichtakzente gesetzt. Unschlagbar ist der Ausblick vom Eckfenster im Wohnzimmer oder von der Dachterrasse aus - direkt auf den Fjord. Auch wunderbar, um Polarlichter zu beobachten. Toll war auch, dass man Waschmaschine und Trockner im Keller nutzen konnte - gerade bei einem längeren Aufenthalt. Ich war insgesamt 6 Wochen auf den Färöer Inseln unterwegs und dachte, ich hätte schon alles gesehen. Aber Rannvá hatte immer noch gute Tipps, was man noch unternehmen konnte. Sie ist die perfekte Gastgeberin - super freundlich, antwortet immer direkt und proaktiv. Wir haben uns so wohl gefühlt in ihrem schönen Haus und werden ganz sicher wiederkommen! Vielen Dank für alles - es war der perfekte Aufenthalt.

This spot offers a very charming retreat, stunning landscapa and tranquility.

We had a wonderful stay at the house. it was perfext for two, but can easily accommodate more (3 bedrooms of which we only used 2). the interior is a true gem - a way-back-machine to the early 20th century, antique furniture, a shockingly well equipped kitchen (really, kudos for that! ther is also a cupboard with proper cocktail tools, something i've never seen in airbnbs before...), while not missing out on any amenities. I would gladly come again! Also, there was the most lovely guest book. If you want to check out the Elusive Glass Puffin and where to find it plus other guest's local recommendations, you need to visit yourself and have a look!

We really, really enjoyed our stay in Elsa`s beautiful and cozy home in Elduvik and recommend this as highly as we can possibly recommend a place to stay. It was truly a unique place to stay in Elduvik and significant care was made to make this a really homey place, from the design touches to a meticulous renovation of a traditional home. Indeed there are no restaurants or stores in the village, but that is the charm of staying here. Cooking in, going to the fish market and supermarket before arriving and simply enjoying a very special and unique experience separated from the stresses of life. The house has everything you need and you feel immediately warm and at home as soon as you walk in. We just wish we could have stayed longer.
