We had a fantastic stay for a long weekend (birthday) getaway. Nice private location with a view. Enjoyed the hot-tub while watching the first snowfall of the season, wood stove and the well stocked kitchen. Host even left some treats for my pup, which she really enjoyed and was very responsive/helpful. Pros: private location, right on the water, kayak/canoe/hot tub for use, well stocked kitchen, responsive host! Cons: (only 1!) mice! My dog could not stop hunting the cabin throughout our stay lol (she is dedicated, like a cat!) , and we did find some droppings on the dishes in the cupboards, before use. Overall - we had a fantastic time. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay. We hope to be back soon!

Michael and Margaret are great hosts. We head up to their place every winter now for a little cottage country escape. They are super responsive and helpful. Their place is warm, cozy, and has a great hot tub under the stars (and under the snow if you’re lucky). We’ll be back again!

Sarah’s place was beautiful and exactly what we needed for a restful week away! We loved the included amenities and made sure to put them to good use. Whenever we needed something, Sarah was very prompt to answer and assist us! We were very pleased with our experience and would recommend the beach house or one of her other two properties at the Inspire Beach Resort.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this Airbnb! It was the perfect family getaway. The house was impeccably clean and beautifully maintained, making it feel like a true home away from home. Our host was incredibly welcoming and thoughtful, always quick to respond and ensure we had everything we needed for a wonderful stay. The location offered so much to do — from outdoor activities and so many games there was never a dull moment. Whether we were enjoying the ice rink or hot tub or simply enjoying the cozy space, there was always something to keep everyone entertained. Overall, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend this spot for anyone looking for a peaceful, fun-filled family retreat!

Cabin Bjorn was everything we expected - and more! Set on a beautiful property surrounded by tall trees and the Irondale River, it truly is a slice of paradise. We were so fortunate to spend four days here, relaxing and unwinding. Cassidy’s a fantastic host and we hope to be back this summer!

Wanda’s cozy little cabin was the perfect spot for a relaxing winter getaway! Her place exceeded the photos, as soon as we walked in Wanda already had the wood stove fireplace going so that the place was warm and cozy when we arrived. She was extremely pleasant and responsive when we had questions and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. We loved it so much we didn’t want to leave! Would definetley recommend for anyone looking for a quiet, relaxing getaway.

We chose to cancel our trip to South Carolina due to the current USA administration's policies. We opted instead for an Ontario staycation and Highpoint Hideaway checked all of our boxes. It is so cozy and peaceful. We thoroughly enjoyed the wood stove, the hot tub, the ambience and the natural setting. We went for some lovely walks and made all of our meals in the well stocked kitchen. It was important to us to have our dog, and the cottage was a perfect spot for him. I highly recommend Highpoint Hideaway!

This is a wonderful place to stay. It's cozy and quiet and romantic. The hot tub was bubbly and hot and clean. We took advantage of it both nights. I was so impressed with all the creative lighting, the crystals placed beautifully around the space and all the whimsical details that give The Nook such a peaceful and positive vibe. As the kids would say - the vibes were vibin'. The town of Lakefield is so charming and I'm so glad we got to eat some delicious meals out and chat with wonderful people. Staying in or venturing out - you can't go wrong with a night (or two - trust me) at The Nook ✨️✌️ Melissa and Greg are responsive and friendly hosts who are knowledgeable and got the good recs for all things to keep you entertained :)

Our stay was absolutely magical! The cabin is so cosy and comfy. It feels rustic and peaceful like we wanted but also so well equipped - these guys thought of everything! The view onto the lake is stunning, and we loved the windows from the living room and sleeping area that let you look out onto it. We were very blessed to see some otters playing out on the ice on our final morning, so definitely keep your eyes peeled for furry friends! We hiked some of the private trail before turning back due to rain, and found it to be very easy to navigate and took a beautiful route through the trees. If you're coming in winter, definitely heed what the hosts say about the hills up and down to the cabin, they are steep. But they kept the road up to the parking area well clear, and provided sleds and snow shoes to bring our stuff down, so there was no issue with access even with all the snow. Can't say enough good things about this place, we will definitely be back!

Great place for a quite peaceful getaway. The hosts took great care of us. The cabin had everything we needed for our duration of the stay. Ansolutely loved our stay. Points for bbq facilities prividing us as much firewood as we wanted keeping us warm and cozy the host’s attention to detail with regards to meeting customer’s needs. spotless, clean showerroom

Our stay was amazing! We went in the beginning of October and there was hardly anyone there. The environment was absolutely stunning, the fall rhapsody was in full effect. There also was a tone of stuff to do, like a dog park, hiking, canoeing, badminton, etc. the cabin itself was small but very cozy. Just remember to bring warm clothes and bedding if you go in the fall because there is just a small heater. We were very comfortable though. Thanks for such a lovely stay!

My stay at the cabin was absolutely delightful! The check-in process was seamless, and the host was incredibly helpful and communicative, making everything so easy. The cabin itself was warm, cozy, and impeccably clean, with everything we needed for a peaceful and comfortable stay. The highlight was definitely getting to feed the animals – the sweet donkey Pablo, the friendly horse Coalie, and the playful goats and alpacas. It was such a unique experience! The entire property is tranquil and beautiful, providing the perfect escape. I would love to return for another relaxing getaway! If you like winter walking, grab some snowshoes and book. I think it would also be so stunning in the fall when the leaves change. I can't wait to book again. Thank you so much, Brian and Colleen.

Great winter getaway. The cottage was cute, cozy and clean! The description of the cottage doesn’t do it justice as there are four nice bedrooms (the fourth one is just tough to see in the pictures) and although the water isn’t potable, there were jugs already there for us upon arrival. Only thing missing was a coffee maker, but otherwise wonderful stay!

Our second stay at Nicks retreat, just as great as the first time! 40 mins drive to Algonquin park, cute bakery and shops in maynooth and a large yard for a full game of football

The place is wonderful and Edvard was available for all our queries. It was a pleasant and memorable experience for me and my family!

Christine’s place was absolutely beautiful and literally perfect for a cottage long weekend. the pictures don’t even do it justice. the dock out looked such a beautiful lake, great for water activities!! the beds worked out perfectly for 5 people, thought u could definitely fit 7, maybe 8. the kitchen was equipped with quite enough, and the bathroom had sanitary products which was so convenient. there’s also a soft tub which was super warm and so relaxing, and an entire bar room with darts overlooking the water! we had so so so much fun here and it was seriously such a beautiful cottage, don’t let the lack of reviews fool you!! absolutely loved this so much:)

Great spot, beautifully decorated. Exactly as per the photos. 5 min from hiking and 15 min to Bancroft which has everything you need. Pretty close to the highway but we honestly didn’t notice. Perfect for couples or young families.

My husband and I wanted a quick getaway , somewhere rustic,quiet and close to water. We found Janet’s cabin just what we were looking for. Everything from the check in to the amenities met our expectations. Would definitely recommend Alexanne cottage rentals for your getaway adventure. We feel totally relaxed and rested ! We had a great stay at Quianna's cozy and warm little cabin. The cabin was clean and well kept. She informed about the shops and restaurants nearby and that they shutdown early so we could plan accordingly. Best place to stay while you explore the Algonquin park highway 60 corridor.

My partner and I had a wonderful long weekend at Krista's bunkie. It was so warm and cozy, a perfect place to hunker down over a snow stormy weekend. Krista was very friendly and responsive, she reached out a couple times throughout our stay to ensure all was well and to see if we needed anything. The bunkie is fully stocked with all the essentials you'd need(paper towels,Kleenex,salt,pepper,olive oil etc.)and is super homey. Overall, super peaceful and relaxing stay- Highly recommend!

This Romantic Cabin is a must to go visit , it is in spotless conditions and there is lots to do around , surrounded with beautiful forest view , inside you have everything you ever wanted staring from kitchen items and spices down to sunglasses , very well oriented and easy to use , nice bathtub with hot and cold water , we never ran out of power or water plenty to use. Beautiful fire pit with lots of wood to use, Peter is very helpful host and the best host out there , and will respond immediately if you needed help with anything. Instructions are straight forward. My girlfriend and I are really looking forward to coming back to this beautiful romantic cabin !!!! ITS A MUST TRY !!!!

This is a wonderful and cozy cabin experience for a group of 4. The place has a lovely history and is preserved that way with attention to aesthetics that take you back in time. Debbi is a warm host and although we didn’t get to meet in person she was quick to respond and provided all the necessary details during our stay. Good parking space, private location and beautiful nursery and nature around the property. Highly recommend staying here if you are visiting the Algonquin provincial park during the fall season. This is such a great little place to stay! It was very peaceful and relaxing. The space is small but has everything you could need. It was really clean and tidy and comfortable and matched the description and photos. I really enjoyed the experience and would highly recommend it and would stay again in the future.

This was our first time using an Airbnb. We weren’t sure what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised at this place. I would for sure book this place again. We went with my parents who are older so getting down to the water for them was a little bit difficult. Our dog loved it lots of space for her to run around. Thinking we need to go in the fall for sure the leaves would be beautiful.
