We spent two nights here at the end of December. The cabin was clean, warm, peaceful. Great amenities, including the hot tube which is outdoors but in a screened in porch with direct access to the lower level (and great views!). A great getaway, we hope to be back!

Even in the face of some weather-related snafoos, our host was always communicative, and the place was beautiful. We would definitely come back.

Beautiful view of the Mississippi River! The fireplace is relaxing and cozy. We enjoyed the poetry books. This is a great location for star gazing! The hot tub is amazing with a great view! The cabin and family history is fascinating. We hope to visit again soon!

Absolutely loved it. So serene and peaceful. Completely private and amazing location. Was spotless and clean. Nice warm and cozy feeling to it. I plan on taking my wife to the other cabins there to see them all and will definitely be back.

For the most part the cabin was clean. But there was heavy dust on the top shelves, a cracked glass in the kitchen, and nowhere to put full trash bags…that I’m aware of anyways, so I had to leave two full garbage bags inside the house so the animals wouldn’t get in them.

Loved this tiny house in the woods. Very private and peaceful. Derek was very responsive when we needed something and was attentive to our needs. Can’t wait to stay again. The tiny house is amazing…decorated very nicely and cozy.

We had an amazing getaway nice quiet spot is snowed a good amount while we were there driveway was plowed next morning hot tub was great and the place was beautiful definitely will be coming again!!

This is a place to stay if you love peace, quiet, and nature! It is a cozy space, but you still have all the essentials you need! It is not as small as others made it seem and it is a wonderful size for couples. We loved the wood burning stove and the hot tub most of all - SO romantic! We would love to come back and stay again!

Our recent stay at Mary’s cabin was nothing short of magical. The area is truly picturesque, and getting snowed in was a delightful experience. It allowed us to fully unwind and enjoy the serene, peaceful environment. Our dogs had the time of their lives, running around freely in the snow and soaking up the tranquility. The Airbnb itself exceeded our expectations. Secluded and equipped with all the amenities we could ask for, it provided the perfect escape. Our favorite spot was by the fireplace, where we spent many cozy hours. Despite the cold and snowy weather, we embraced the beauty of it all and even managed to have a midday bonfire, surrounded by the stunning scenery. Mary and her family were incredibly kind and thoughtful. They came up to the cabin to plow and shovel snow each morning and evening, ensuring we were comfortable without ever disturbing our peace. Thank you for an unforgettable experience. We can't wait to return!

We are so grateful that Tracey and Neil share their beautiful space with guests. This space was bright, cozy, and a home away from home. It is decorated so thoughtfully and all the furniture was comfortable! The sheep were great! Our dog loved running around the property with us. The kitchen worked great to cook a nice dinner. The record player is awesome! We loved the sauna as well during this winter weekend! We totally recommend going to St. Francis Hermitage for a meal. The food was spectacular! Downtown viroqua was a fun afternoon trip too, and driftless cafe was delicious! Perfect weekend away to unplug and nestle up in nature with your loved one! We hope to be back!

Justin’s cabin is fantastic! Highly recommend!

Our party of five adults stayed at Andy's place for a birthday weekend and had a great time. The cabin and surroundings are as described ~ clean, unique, private, quiet. We kayaked and fished in the pond and ate our meals on the deck; we loved the outdoor spaces and appreciated having the kayaks and the fire pit available. We traveled to Elkader and Decorah during the days. The cabin was just the right place to come back to.

The cabin is fairly large and has comfortable furniture. Very clean inside. No complaints but if you’re arriving after dark, you may want to request that he leave some lights on outside so you can figure out where the cabin is at and how to get inside.

Cabin has a rustic look and feel, yet modern and comfortable. Beautiful setting. A nice quiet getaway.

Liz greeted us warmly and told the history of the cabin and the rehab efforts. She demonstrated how to start the fire in the stove. The cabin is charming with beautiful views of Fern Hollow.

What a gem this cabin is! My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our anniversary, and it was the perfect, peaceful, private, safe and cozy place we wanted. Truly a slice of Heaven! We will definitely be bringing our kids back next time. Perfect place for a romantic getaway, to get away from the hustle and bustle of the world; and also would be great for the whole family! The Host was wonderful too, she clearly cares very much about her guests! Thank you for sharing this wonderful cabin with us! We’ll surely be back!

Amazing accommodations for a peaceful weekend getaway to relax and rejuvenate. It was centrally located so we could explore LaCrosse and Viroqua, but had just as much fun enjoying the comfortable cabin and beautiful views. Without being cluttered the cabin was thoughtfully furnished and equipped. We were especially surprised to be treated to a dozen farm fresh eggs, maple glazed cinnamon rolls, and a loaf of fresh baked bread. The water from the faucet was delicious. Cashton has a nice little grocery store to find last minute items. We explored Wildcat State Park on the way out of town and would love to come back to do some kayaking on the Kickapoo River.

This rustic cottage was just the weekend getaway we were looking for. We loved soaking in the hot tub and sitting by the fire. The kitchen was well-stocked and the bed was comfy. There were nice touches like bathrobes, space heaters, electric blankets to keep us warm in the winter. It was a bit of work to keep the fire/heat going, but there was plenty of wood and we liked the old-timey feeling it gave us. We'll definitely come back!

A great way to get away but still be close to the local market, events, food ,etc. it was a beautiful remote spot but felt safe and secure :) we were able to utilize a lot of the dvds which was a fun nostalgic vibe and picked up local coffee from wonderstate and lunch from co-op! Our fav! This is such a beautiful serene getaway:) thank you so much

The location and cabin are both beautiful! We really enjoyed the view and the cabin overall. Mike was very easy to communicate with so that was nice as well. The beds and floors were quite squeaky and there was a very mild, strange smell around the house that we were told might be from the hard rain we had prior to coming and it's affect on the septic. It wasn't terrible but we did notice it. Otherwise it was great!

I am so happy we chose to stay here!This sweet little place was clean,smelled good,and had all the things we needed for a weekend getaway. It was decorated cute and i appreciated the fall decorations too. Quiet and private but close enough to do all our excursions in Prarie du Chien,Marquette and Mcgregor.Genna was very communicative and I cannot wait to come back and stay again in the future.Weather was perfect and it was a great,relaxing,and memorable stay!

We had a wonderful time visiting family, while having our own space. The home was very clean and very accommodating with everything you may need including games ( which we enjoyed), washer/dryer, full equipped kitchen and extra towels! Close to town and public boat launch. Easy check in, vey responsive a beautiful view! Bring some OFF spray for night time- I think the mosquitoes are immune to the citronella candles. No fault to the owner just nature! Would not recommend more then 4 people to stay in home, due to one bathroom. Can get crowded easily. Thank you again for everything we enjoyed our stay very much! Beautiful place! Would definitely return!
