Our very first lake stay and it exceeded our expectations. Irene is an incredibly friendly, responsive, accommodating and generous host. The Cardinal Cove made for a great stay including comfy beds, fluffy towels and even pantry extras. The waterfront view and lake access were highlights for us and we took full advantage of fishing and kayaking, literally from 7:00am to 7:00pm. We got groceries from Food Lion right after we checked in and we never left the property until we checked out. It was nice to have eggs and pancakes available for breakfast (courtesy of Irene) and to use the grill and enjoy lunch on the patio. Friendly neighbors, serene surroundings, we look forward to coming back!

This was a nice two-person apartment close to shopping and restaurants. Well-stocked kitchen, a great screened porch with table and chairs (we ate meals out there), and a huge bathroom. About the only thing missing was a TV, but we had laptops and wifi so it wasn't really an issue for us.

We really enjoyed our stay. It is a super comfortable home away from home. Carolyn is a great host. Her instructions are clear and easy to follow. She also left us some delicious lemon pound cake! A convenient location for checking out the area. The quiet street makes it perfect for enjoying the screened in porch.

Colleen's place is probably the best Airbnb we have stayed in. From the thoughtful touches like snacks, games and local recommendations to the extremely well-stocked kitchen and spotless bathroom with extras of literally anything we might have forgotten, Colleen had thought of it all. She met us upon arrival and was so welcoming. Her hospitality was felt in every little touch. The apartment literally had everything we could have needed and more. It was a short 9-minute drive into downtown and about 30 minutes or so from the Blue Ridge Parkway. The beds were as comfortable as our own at home and the linens were extremely high quality - like that of a luxury hotel. I cannot say enough good things about this place and will definitely be returning on our inevitable next trip to Charlottesville.

Lovely stay, quiet and close to everything. The entrance stairs are quite steep, so it was a little difficult for me to get down them. Once inside very tidy and very roomy. Enjoyed my stay.

Peter was responsive and generous. I was visiting Charlottesville and he offered his own oven for me to make some dishes. His place is clean and was nice and warm during the cold nights. I would stay here again when visiting. Thanks Peter for being a great host.

Lisa is a great host. Her rental is in a fantastic location, easy to find. The outside seating area for guests was great. It’s hard to believe there’s anyone around you while sitting out there. The birds were very active and singing. It was a great place to sit after a long day. The bed was very comfortable and we didn’t lack for anything. Thank you, Lisa.

Great place for our family get together. 6 adults plus 2 toddlers had plenty of room. The crib (pack and play sheet size) and 2 high chairs were great. Great stay.

Our family of 2 adults and 5 kids had a wonderful stay over Thanksgiving week. Watching the sunrises and sunsets on the lake was so peaceful and our kids loved playing outside! Private and beautiful scenery, especially with the late fall colors. We had everything we needed to cook and everyone slept great. Kids said they wished we had spent less time sightseeing and more time at the house so they could play in the backyard!

This home was perfect for my husband and I and our two toddlers when we were in Charlottesville for a family wedding. Rick and Emily were very accommodating and helpful, and my kids loved the playroom! Can't recommend this home enough if you're traveling to Charlottesville with young children.

I stay in a lot of AirBnB properties. What a nice gesture to get in late in the evening, kids in tow, and open the refrigerator to find fresh milk for the morning, some bagels, some fruit, coffee and some bottles of water. The house doesn’t have that sterile “everything came out of Home Goods” look to it; it actually felt like being at your Aunt and Uncle’s house for the weekend. Very clean, no complaints whatsoever. Good location, 10 minutes from UVA. Would definitely stay there again, highly recommended.

Absolutely fantastic house. This ranks among our top Airbnb experiences in almost ten years. We loved the private, quiet, gorgeous neighborhood, the spacious and comfortable rooms, and the helpful labels in the kitchen. The sofa bed in the living room was very comfortable. It was so easy to get to the downtown mall. We hope to have the opportunity to come back!

This home was ideally located in the Belmont neighborhood walkable to great restaurants and shops and close to all the main attractions in Charlottesville. The house had great character with lots of artwork and plants. Very intentional and eclectic in the best of ways. The hosts were responsive especially when we had trouble getting the key out of the lockbox and also going the extra mile to mail us a hat that we accidentally left at the house. I highly recommend this place and would consider staying here again.

This was the perfect spot for our friend group to get away for the weekend. There’s tonnes of sleeping spaces, and the common areas easily fit our group of 9 adults for meals, movies, and games.

We had a great time here! The place is within walking distance to the lake for fishing and other activities. We especially enjoyed the hot tub and use of streaming services on the TV!

This was our second stay in this condo and we love the location and spaciousness. We have family nearby and easily met up on the mall for numerous outings. One small suggestion: Housekeeping may need to communicate better with management. We arrived to a sink that was clogged. But it was fixed very quickly, so was not an issue.

The best vacation spot with a beautify condo! Had a blast at this place and will definitely be coming back for sure. The house the view the furniture, everything about the trip was amazing!!

We stayed here for a long weekend with two other couples to visit a few wineries and Monticello. This is a beautiful condo in the heart of downtown. It was very clean and has everything you need. Will definitely be back.

Would definitely stay here again. Very comfortable accommodations and easily walkable to football stadium. Jake was very responsive and always very quick to respond.

Sam’s place was beautiful! The bunk room was our little guys favorite and thought he was a big boy sleeping in the beds. The condo had everything we needed! Sam was so helpful in providing us with restaurant ideas and best places to boat/wakeboard on the lake! They had a boat slip we could use to dock our boat for the weekend with a short walk back to the condo. We enjoyed our time so much we didn’t want to leave. We hope to be back next summer!

This was an amazing place to stay for the Charlottesville marathon weekend! Very walkable & close to the start line. It was also very clean and had everything we needed. Thank you Melissa for being such a great host!

What a charming apartment in a fantastic location. We were close to everything we wanted to do. The apartment itself was so charming, clean, and full of amenities. It was the perfect spot for four moms getting a weekend away! We loved it!
