This place is perfect for big families looking for a cozy and comfortable stay far from the buzzing city. It has hot tub and pool (perfect for summer getaway). We enjoyed our new year's eve celebration. Big spaces and clean. Basement is also spacious with a bar and games. Hosts are responsive and considerate.

Maria's house, the Ridgewood Estate is a beautiful 19th century historical home located in a picturesque area. The architecture and woodwork in this home is stunning! The large acreage is perfect for long walks and breathtaking views of the surrounding nature. There is a gorgeous pool that unfortunately we were not able to use due to the off season/cold weather. Maria was a perfect host. She was super responsive, polite and very communicative, always getting back to us in a very timely manner. If you enjoy historical homes with great architecture that is surrounded in nature, we highly recommend staying at the Ridgewood Estate!

Gorgeous old home on a beautiful property, was the perfect place and location to host our large family Thanksgiving. The house was well stocked with charming dishes and serving pieces. They left plenty of wood for the wood-stove which made the large space feel so cozy, and plenty of wood and chairs surrounding the fire pit outside. They also provided plenty of drinking water and decorated with pumpkins and mums. Bed linens and towels a fresh crisp white felt nice to curl into. If I had a choice I’d opt for some queen size beds and use of the extra bedrooms! Though realize it’s not set up for multiple families but for individuals on a retreat. It still suited us just fine and the kids loved the giant room with the bunk beds. Thank you Carolyn for another perfect weekend!

Stayed for two nights for my daughter’s auditions at SUNY Potsdam Crane School of music. It worked out for us perfectly, place was warm and cozy despite the -2 temp at night. Plenty of and the place was very clean. Stephanie is a great responsive host.

We've stayed here before and will be stayinghere again. This is our favorite place to stay. Luc and his housekeeper, Bianca, are so very nice and they take care of any issues that may arise right away. The place is beautiful, interesting, historical and cozy all in one. Spacious and great amenities. The host was wonderful. Stayed during a snow storm and we were promptly snow plowed. Comfortable and very great to respond. This is my first time leaving a 5 star rating. Booked two more times this year!

We had a blast at the cabin for New Year’s celebrations. The house was very clean and organized. The driveway was very steep as described- luckily we had an SUV! The gas fireplace was beautiful and we could see the the fireworks show from the fire pit on our lakefront. We are already discussing our next trip back!

Absolutely gorgeous and felt right at home from the minute we stepped on the porch. Ona made us feel so welcome with thoughtful touches. Incredible place for some badly need R&R. Thank you for sharing.

Always a pleasure to stay in fit and proper accommodations. Snow removal was made very easy and accessible using the blower provided. We remained warm and cozy in spite of the sub zero temperatures.

Our stay was great! Absolutely beautiful log cabin perfectly tucked away and private! We didn’t have great weather when we went seeing as it was the middle of the winter, but the game room was a great feature and kept us busy the whole stay!

We loved our stay. The space is GORGEOUS. We especislly loved the gates at the top of the deck so the kids could run around and be safe. We stayed in winter and the view was epic. The hot tub was warm and the fire burned all weekend long. All in all we loved our stay, the beds are comfy, the master bedroom is wonderful, the kitchen has everything you need, and you cannot beat the view. Hope to be back soon!

Had a great week at Chad’s property. Felt right at home and had all of the amenities we needed for our family and dog. Close to downtown, plenty of space, clean and he was very easy to communicate with and fast to respond. Appreciate it!

Beautiful and very spacious place across the street from Mirror Lake and within walking distance to town. Easy drive to all the activities Lake Placid has to offer. Additional downstairs living room is a great set up for kids.

Our skiing group greatly enjoyed their stay. The place was perfect for our needs with our group size, location, and value. This place is an absolute gem! Proximity to Lake Placid for the essentials was convenient. Thank you so much Donna for opening your home to us.

Great location! The home was close to Lake Placid and Whiteface. Home is spacious and cozy. Owner was very quick to respond. Would definitely recommend!

Shauna’s home was well maintained, clean, and well stocked with the essentials. We had a large party, and everyone was able to hang out together but also find smaller spaces for quiet time. It is very close to town, while also being an easy 20 minute drive from Whiteface. We would love to stay again!

Had a great stay with family here. We attended snowmobile races and we needed parking for our 28’ trailer and we fit in the driveway with no issues. Beautiful old home that has been updated very nicely.

Small, well appointed and decorated farmhouse, which was perfect for me and my dog Robert Frost. The home was clean and updated with a massive fenced in backyard that is ideal for those who are traveling with dogs. I plan on staying here again in the future. Also, there was finally a showerhead at a height for someone who is 6ft+ tall. Most Airbnb's have showerheads set for short people, so I really appreciated the shower here!

Amy & Bryon were wonderful hosts - I reached out well in advance letting them know we were traveling to the area to celebrate a birthday and inquired about early check-in. They were more than willing to be accommodating in every way. We arrived for check in and were greeted by Bryon and a chocolate cake with our names on it! YUM. The house is out of the way of the tourists, which is just what we wanted. It’s close enough to Lake Placid & Saranac that you can get in the car and go, and be where you needed in 20 minutes. The house was immaculate and filled with plenty of extras. We literally needed nothing. It was such a peaceful weekend and we are so thankful we were lucky enough to be hosted by them! If we are ever back in the area, we will be looking for Amy & Bryon’s availability. Thank you both so much!
