Don’s beautiful VanHoevenberg Ridge has become our home base in the ADK, and a “home away from home” where we return several times a year to relax and enjoy the beauty of the mountains and lakes in all seasons. This is by far the best place we have stayed since we have been coming to the ADK for over 30 years. If you are lucky enough to stay here, you’ll be back! Don’s place has everything you’ll need, and is near to everywhere you’ll want to go. The views of the High Peaks are stellar, and the hot tub is relaxing after an active day outdoors. Don is a welcoming host who truly cares that his guests have the best experience, whether avid hikers or simply wanderers seeking serenity and renewal in the woods and waters near his home. He respects your privacy, but is happy to provide his knowledge of the area to find the best hike or paddle for you. This place is our North Star in the ADK: bright, constant, and a place we’ll always look to return to. We recommend it highly to everyone!

We had a wonderful stay. We’re a group of 4 mostly retired couples. Linda’s place was perfect for our needs. We used 4 bedrooms each with its own bathroom, comfortable communal space, a dining room that accommodated all of us, and a great kitchen with lots of counter space, utensils, serving dishes, etc. The main bedroom upstairs also had an adjoining suite perfect for families with young children. Linda’s instructions were clear and she was very responsive to all messages. Linda had towels for the hot tub which we loved using after a day of outdoor activity. We highly recommend Linda’s place and look forward to returning next year.

We enjoyed our stay for 4 nights in Lake Placid. The house was perfect for the 8 of us. The rooms were plenty big and the different gathering areas were ideal for the kids. The place was clean and the kitchen had everything you would need for cooking. Great Times!

Linda's place was amazing with great amenities and is good for large groups. We had an amazing time and felt right at home in this house. There were grocery stores with plenty of things and the town was easily walkable from the Airbnb. Highly recommend!

This is a super cozy cabin packed with convenient amenities in a great location. Bed is great! We came to the area to hike and visit Lake Placid. Lake Saranac was full of nice surprises, as well. Great coffee shops with yummy food. Calli is a great host! We will come back!

Absolutely beautiful home! The decor was stunning, and every detail was thoughtfully designed. The space was super clean, cozy, and felt like a perfect retreat. Mary was great, and everything went smoothly. Would highly recommend.

We had a great stay - the place was easy to find, clean, and had everything we needed! Kevin was very friendly, flexible, and responsive! We would love to come back for another weekend! Would 100% recommend!!!

What a comfortable place to stay. We chose to eat in rather than go out, we were so comfortable. It’s a bonus to have a washer/dryer in the Adirondacks! Kitchen is very well stocked with pots and pans and glassware, etc.

Right on the Pond, can walk out onto the ice! Also a short walk to the town park and playground! Heating is limited to an oil fired unit in the living room and plug in heaters in both bedroooms and the bathroom, but we stayed plenty warm in sweats and slippers. Nice views of the lake and deer! And the garage offered space to store our outdoor gear. So peaceful!
