Francesville : locations de vacances

This is a very special place; Angie & Emma are wonderful hosts. We stayed here during spring break with adults, teens, & young kids. Everyone really enjoyed themselves & said they want to come back! The house itself is whimsical & magical, a unique environment, very thoughtfully conceived & executed. The littles loved the Harry Potter room (w/ the cupboard under the stairs), adults appreciated the comfy, cozy bedrooms upstairs, & everyone enjoyed the gathering spaces: library, dining room, front room with wood stove, and eat-in kitchen. There are so many "easter eggs" to find - little gnomes in houseplants, framed fables, flowers and vines painted on ceilings and stair risers. It was very immersive & we loved it. But the house is the tip of the iceberg! The woods on the ground have so many fun elements: forest "dragons", a little gnome village, lots of stuff! We canoed in the pond & took riding lessons with Angie who is so patient. Overall 10/10, no notes. Thank you!

We were pleasantly surprised to walk into the home at midnight to find it beautifully lit and fully decorated for Christmas, complete with three Christmas trees! We never expected that. It immediately felt warm and inviting, making all 10 of us feel right at home. Lisa's home is thoughtfully designed, with gorgeous details throughout that show how much care and attention it receives. Everything matched her description and messages perfectly. We absolutely loved our stay and highly recommend this house. We hope to return in the future!

Nice private, quiet place to stay. Stayed longer term due to construction job in the area. Diana was very accommodating and cleaned every week. Did linens, removed trash, provided snacks, water, coffee, etc. Very friendly and flexible. This place works well for me as a construction worker.

Very clean and comfortable stay, we liked all the extra games for the family! Also enjoyed a thoughtful surprise when we arrived!

We were in town for a family funeral and it was important to us that our whole family be able to stay together. Melany's house served this purpose perfectly. We had a long drive and Melany accommodated our early check in request. There were many nice additions in the bathrooms (toiletries) and kitchen (snacks). A quick walk to reach the lake was a wonderful bonus.

The Piper House was ideal for me and my extended family in town for my brother's memorial service. We were comfortable, had lots of space to visit, relax, and enjoy the beautiful lake view. Heidi was fabulous with communication, making sure we had everything we needed and keeping an eye out on the weather. Such a wonderful experience for our family.

Kim's place is one we will stay at over and over! Very clean and cozy! We always rented a hotel room in valpo to be close to the college and downtown, but will not do that again. Her place is very close and easy to get to downtown or even a short drive to the dunes. I just really loved the location. Can't wait to get back

OMG! The pictures DO NOT DO IT JUSTICE!! I thought I walked into the wrong airbnb! I am not kidding! It was absolutely gorgeous!! Super luxurious! Oh and he had EVERYTHING in every room! From a „pantry“ stocked with all kinds of games, to fancy bathtubs, showers and jets! I have never seen a kitchen that literally had everything! Different kinds of coffees and even to go cups. Simply amazing. The outdoor area had a fire pit for like 8 people WITH plenty of firewood and a huge LIGHTER. He also has a tennis court with pickle ball, badminton and tennis rackets. I mean what else does one need?! Lastly he was extremely kind. A guest broke a sugar container accidentally, and Chris told us not to worry. We definitely will be staying here next year when we return for our annual rivertubing occasion. :)
