We rented Kristina's place for a hiking trip, and enjoyed it a lot. The surrounding area is beautiful, there's lots to do and we wished we could have stayed longer. The lodging was as described, the photos are accurate, and the views are STUNNING. Watching the weather over the mountain range out the big picture window was GREAT. The kitchen is large, and well furnished. The main dining room table is big enough to play board games, the hot tub is well maintained and easily held 4 adults, the deck is lovely. Beds were comfy. One minor issue, the shower in the en-suite bathroom wasn't working. We contacted Kristina and the owner was there within maybe 30-60 minutes to address the issue. He gave us a temporary solution and that worked fine for the long weekend. We had a great time and would stay again!

Perfect for our large family group. Lots of comfortable living space, and bonus being so close to downtown. Great place for large groups.

Absolutely gorgeous and felt right at home from the minute we stepped on the porch. Ona made us feel so welcome with thoughtful touches. Incredible place for some badly need R&R. Thank you for sharing.

Shauna’s home was well maintained, clean, and well stocked with the essentials. We had a large party, and everyone was able to hang out together but also find smaller spaces for quiet time. It is very close to town, while also being an easy 20 minute drive from Whiteface. We would love to stay again!

It is my pleasure to recommend Brad's house in Lake Placid / Saranac. I travel there every year with a group of friends for hiking and skiing, and this was the perfect spot for us to stay. The house was easy to find and more than large enough to fit us all. Brad's instructions were very clear and he was responsive to all messages I sent over the course of the stay.

Beautiful home!! Great amenities. No television but we stayed busy with games which was fun! Hot tub was enjoyable and area was shoveled/cleared from snow when we arrived. Lots of space for a big family or for multiple families to stay comfortably, just make sure you out correct # of guests. Host I very responsive to messages and was accommodating. Will return if in area again!

We absolutely loved our stay! The house was so cozy, and we especially enjoyed the fireplace and hot tub—such a perfect way to relax. The views were stunning, making the whole experience even more special. There were thousands of Asian lady beetles, but it is expected this time of year in the Adirondacks and we just vacuumed them up. The walk down to the front door was a bit tricky with the snow, but we managed just fine. We already can’t wait to return!

We had an amazing stay! Kathryn was a fantastic host—super responsive and easy to communicate with. The only small downside was that two of our guests ended up with a bit of hot tub rash, but other than that, everything was great. The views of Whiteface from the porch and hot tub were absolutely stunning. Waking up to fresh snow every day felt like a dream, and the driveway was always plowed, which was a huge plus. The upstairs had that classic cozy log cabin feel, and the great room was perfect for all nine of us to hang out comfortably. Overall, an awesome experience!

This cabin is exactly as described having everything we needed for our stay and the views are unmatched. The hot tub with the wrap around Mountain View porch was a highlight for us. It is nestled up in the woods giving you privacy but also close enough with a 10 minute drive into town and a short 25 minute drive from Lake Placid. Kathryn went above and beyond as a host to accommodate our stay and needs. She was very responsive to messages and checked in on arrival and at departure to see if we had any questions. The house has so many extras including games, kitchen necessities, extra towels, and fun recommendations. There was plenty of space for our large group of 9 and the children’s play area was a nice touch. Overall this place is worth every penny and a great find! We will definitely stay here again!

My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful stay. Our dog immediately fell in love with the space both inside and out. It was great to have a place to stay with our dog where we didn't have to worry about others around (our dog is a bit reactive to other people), and we could easily go outside and immerse ourselves in quiet, peaceful nature. We wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely have to consider staying again if we come back up to visit the Adirondacks in the future!

Just Book this place! My review follows all the past positive reviews. This place is awesome for a winter hangout with all the privacy you want and a short scenic drive to Lake Placid. The views from the front deck are beautiful and the hot tub on the back deck is a great place to unwind after a playful day in the snow. So - just book this place if you are into enjoying life in the Adirondack Mountains. Thanks Richard & Jocelyn!

Great house at a great location. House was nice and warm despite the 0 degree weather with high winds. Driveway was maintained clear during 15” of snow. Great sledding on the property, ice fishing on the lake and cross country skiing on the rail trail that passes the house. Main floor and upper floor were great, lower level needs some TLC and the two lower level beds were very uncomfortable. No problem with the rest of the rooms. Kitchen was well stocked and plenty of room to gather on the main floor. Could use a larger table, plenty of room in the house for our group of 13 but not a big enough table for us to all eat at together (kitchen island provided most of the needed extra spots). Overall a great place at a great location.
