Our stay here was excellent. It is so spacious and pristine and Martin and his wife are wonderful hosts. While we had no problems, I did reach out about a couple things (possibly extending our stay, what all was in the kitchen as I had to prepare food for a wedding, etc) and every time I got a very prompt and helpful response, which meant the world. We will definitely be staying here for future trips.

My wife and I stayed for four nights at Retro Loves Company and found it to be a lovely apartment within a lovely, grand house. While no issue for us, Apartment #5 is a third floor walk up-which could be an issue for someone who is challenged with vertical climbwalking. Parking right next to the dwelling. Very convenient for walking into Old Town Winchester and most other in town locations. No special cleaning requirements upon our exit-but, we pretty much left the apartment as we found it. We would stay here again upon our next visit to Winchester.

We could tell how much TLC was poured into it. Thanks for the awesome communication before and during our stay. **I did want to make note of a few things for future guest** If you are much over 6 feet tall, there are a few places you'll need to duck. My husband hit his head on a pipe in the hallway a few times before he remembered it was there. Also, just remember that full beds aren't as long as queens and kings. The kitchen sink water gets REALLY hot, so use cation. The shower had wonderful pressure and great temps! The bed was comfortable. We did hear the animals upstairs some in the night. It didn't bother us, but if you are sensitive to sound, make note that this is a basement rental and you may hear some above you. The TV doesn't come with cable or rabbit ears, you must log into and log out. Overall, it's unique!

The most convenient stay I have ever had!

Great place to stay while visiting Stephens City, VA. The basement was spotless and we immediately noticed that it had been recently cleaned; fresh and airy. This location is easily walkable to the historic city center where you will find antique shops and restaurants. We contacted the hosts during our stay and they were very responsive to our questions. This would be an ideal location for a long-term stay.

Lovely spot close to Winchester and just down the road from Old Town Pedestrian Mall. Would definitely recommend for a couple looking to explore the area!

This was the perfect spot to hang out with some close friends, enjoy good food, and watch the Super Bowl. There was more than enough space. The open lay out let those of us in the kitchen take part in all the conversations and activities. We had everything we needed at the house. I especially appreciated the downstairs bedrooms near the back door for our dogs. Matthew was super responsive and helpful. I couldn’t have asked for a better space!

This gorgeous and massive space is great for large gatherings. Wifi connection was excellent and even accomodated video conferences. Gorgeous view. Some items in the kitchen were dirty (dish towels, dishes, etc.) and we had heating issues that were solved - nothing worth leaving anything but 5 stars. Overall, would recommend.

Absolutely beautiful home and location. Host was very responsive, helpful, and attentive during our stay. We definitely would love to come back during the warmer months to fish and hike. The local butcher had delicious steaks that we cooked on the grille, got live bait from the gas station down the road, and the Mexican restaurant in town was absolutely delicious. Wonderful experience and stay for the new year. The fires and smores by the river were our kid’s favorite thing to do.

Awesome stay at the school house very relaxing getaway. Hot tub was amazing at night and everything was very clean. Will definitely book again!

This place was great! Small, cozy location in the mountains! It was peaceful and just what we were looking for 😊 everything was nice and clean, and we felt right at home!

The house was easy to find right on route 11. Julie & Matt were very friendly and communicative. They allowed us to push back our check in because of snow. The driveway and walkway were plowed and shoveled for us before we arrived. We did have a little hiccup with the heat on our first night (it was a super cold spell), but I woke up to a message from Matt with his handyman ready to come take a look. It was easily fixed and they followed up later in the day to make sure! The house was great for our family of 5, the kids had the entire upstairs area and the kitchen was well stocked with everything necessary to cook at home! We loved the view out back of the mountains and cow pasture. Highly recommend!!

This place is such a great deal for what you get--a spacious home, lovely yard with lots of land, and lots of kid-friendly features. It is very near a highway that is audible since you are up high, but besides that small thing, we just loved our stay! We felt right at home and had lots to do without even leaving the house. The rooms looked like the pictures, and the whole house was just lovely.

Marie's AirBNB was exactly what me and my wife (and baby daughter) needed for the work trip I had planned. the kitchen saved us from having to eat out every night, and the quaint country setting felt great when trying to escape a busy day. It is deep in the off roads, but by no means innaccesable (still paved!). gorgeous views and comfortable. Definitely good for a small family! Check out your stay and have fun while doing it, we definitely did!
