If you are looking for peace and tranquility, this is the place for you! This place felt like home the minute we arrived with the nice size veranda and peaceful setting. This was perfect for our group of 7 pus our dog, we all had a special place to hang out together and apart if needed. The kitchen had everything we needed to get our meals prepared, and the creek on the property was fantastic to just sit back and enjoy the beautiful natural scenery! Laura was always responsive and courteous, we really got what we needed this weekend as a family, we will be back!

An amazing set up! Spacious, homey, comfortable, and immaculately clean. Lots of thoughtful touches and amenities, I regret only staying for one night. Highly recommend and would without a doubt stay again. Issac and Claudia are very communicative. In a quiet and peaceful neighborhood but close to everything Fredericksburg and the Hill Country have to offer.

Travis was an exceptional host. He was quick to communicate if anything was needed and offered multiple amenities. The space itself is very private, great for photos especially around the lake, it's just you and nature. If the weather wasn't so cold we definitely would've hit the water. Hadn't ever heard of spicewood before, but would come again! Thank you again Travis!

This place was great. The host was friendly and communicated really well. They had everything we needed for a nice relaxing, riverside vacation.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights & a day. It was a much needed reset and this place was the best most peaceful stay we’ve had in a long time. Easy instructions, easy check in. The casita was beautiful and had pretty much everything we needed. I don’t have any complaints, instead a warning. The bed is comfy but on the softer side. With sciatic issues I need my bed to be a bit harder. It’s not enough to dock our rating because it’s only my preference. My husband on the other hand loved relaxing in it. Overall I would recommend this place and would return. Thank you for opening your Casita to us. Looking forward to our next visit. Oh, and coming from California we’ve never seen so much wildlife. Definitely a plus!

The cottage was lovely and just what we expected! The decor was very nice, large living spaces and plenty of televisions! Everything was sparkling clean. The bath and bed linens were soft and comfortable. And what a pleasure to have no cleaning product lingering smells. The kitchen had everything we needed and there are two great coffee making options. We had a short stay and look forward to coming back for a longer one in the future.

My family and I had an amazing Christmas at this Farmhouse. Debbie's description of the house is very accurate, check in/out was a breeze and she made herself available to answer any questions we had. The beds were very comfortable, the bathrooms super clean and the kitchen had absolutely everything we needed to cook our meals. Thanks!

We loved our stay here. The ceilings are gorgeous and the kitchen was perfect— I didn’t realize how open it would be to the living area, which made the whole space feel roomier. It was nice to have all of the soaps and the Keurig stocked with regular and decaf coffee. The A/c is a little odd to work but there are helpful signs for it and lots of things throughout the apartment. The bathroom is very tiny (the sink is actually in the bedroom) but the shower itself felt luxurious with the rain shower head and soft towels. It is definitely walkable to downtown. Only one street didn’t have a sidewalk, but the road was wide enough to feel safe. It is a great place to stay if you want to visit the Pacific War Museum. We would absolutely stay here again.

The cabin was great to stay at, a getaway to enjoy away from the city was nice! It truly is an amazing spot, the property is walkable and there is lots to do around the area as well. From the winery nearby to many brewing spots to enjoy. The place matched the description having everything needed for our stay.

This place is such a gem! Away from the hustle and bustle but no to far from town. Very clean and beautiful views. Would definitely recommend!

We stayed for Labor Day weekend and the ease of access to the river made for the perfect weekend. No worrying about parking, renting tubes, getting picked up by a van- just walk in and walk out back to the house. It is a beautiful little gem.

Love staying in campfire circle and Donna’s place was no exception. It was perfect for our crew, had stunning views, lots of deer, and each room was cutely decorated for Christmas. The house is FULLY stocked with anything you may need, which is much appreciated. This is how Airbnb used to be before all the good properties were snatched up by corporations. Classic, family owned home with all the charm and attention to detail.

What an amazing place! The studio was clean and cozy with everything we needed for our stay. The yard outside the studio was a beautiful spot for outdoor dining on the giant picnic table. We enjoyed swinging in the hammock and sitting by the fire ring in the evening. We loved walking around the ranch and looking at all the flowers, the scenery, the horses (especially the new foal), etc. The hike around the mountain/hill was just strenuous enough with lots of beautiful views (be sure to bring water)! Finally, their spot on the river was perfect. At this time of year many spots have run dry or stagnant, however, at Montesino there was still enough water in the swimming hole to have a good soak. It’s warm (as all Tx rivers are at this time of year), and there’s moss covering the rocks (again, as every river in Tx has right now) but the water is moving so it’s not stagnant and it’s still cool enough before 3 pm to be refreshing! It was a lovely time!

This has been my favorite Airbnb so far! The location is amazing and the views are beautiful! The pool is absolutely gorgeous and overlooks the river. We saw deer, turkeys, and some really neat birds during our stay. We spent most of our time on the back deck enjoying the wonderful view. Erin was the most amazing host and was so generous and very quick to respond. We enjoyed our stay so much and can’t wait to come back.

John and Sherri’s place was even better than advertised! The property is beautiful and peaceful, and the Backwoods BnB is a large inviting space. Our two young children had plenty to keep them occupied, and morning walks to visit Brandi and Bailey- the two resident longhorns- was a highlight for our son! The large open floor plan worked great for us, and allowed our little ones to tire themselves out before bed each night. Although secluded, the BnB was a great base for day trips to Pedernales Falls, Wimberly, Fredericksburg, and Enchanted Rock. Dripping Springs is also a short drive away for groceries, or a quick meal.

we definitely enjoyed our stay. Super peaceful and clean. I really liked that it had two restroom. The lake is dried up so you don't get the view from the balcony but you still get to see the deer roaming the area which is nice.

Bringing my kids to a town very close to my heart was made even better by this beautiful home. The pool, 3 bathrooms and amazing surroundings made this the perfect place to spend a summer vacation with our family.

It was just what we always look for in a rental. very secluded, quiet and felt like we were the only ones there. It was also close to some great places to grab a bite to eat.

It was spacious and accommodating. There was A comfortable spot for everyone and we had A Big group of seven in a multi-generational family. Grandparents had one end of the home for sleep and the family had the other. Worked out perfectly
