Robyn is the most friendly and responsive host I have dealt with. The property is amazing and wonderfully private. Great open areas for the kids to play and a game of Rugby was awesome on the lawn. We enjoyed the friendly horses and beautiful cows and the kids loved the chicken coop. The house was amazing loads of areas to braai with a large wrap around veranda and a fantastic pizza oven. All bedrooms look onto the mountain and were a good size. Huge kitchen and lovely herb garden. Royce the farm manager was lovely and helpful. The games room was a win. Kirsten the farm manager as even posted back a few items my teenager left behind - such amazing hassle free service. Thank you were had an amazing stay.

auch bei diesem 2. Besuch war alles perfekt und wie besprochen. Die gemeinsame Zeit war wieder toll. David und ich lieben die Natur und deshalb gibt es viel gemeinsam zu unternehmen. Unterkunft und gemeinsame Zeit waren wieder sehr schön. Naturfreunde sind bei David gut aufgehoben. Danke für die schöne Zeit. Liebe Grüße

Made a last minute booking and had the best time with my friends there. Vanessa was very responsive and the house itself is very beautiful! The pictures don’t do it justice. There are soo many games and things to do, we spent the entire weekend there and did not get bored at all. The place is equipped with everything you can think of! Amazing views.

Amanda is a wonderful kind person who communication and caring is fantastic. Due to a personal issue we didn’t get to stay with Amanda but she sent messages to make sure we were okay was offered her help if needed. It’s the little things that you remember and Amanda was so kind. Thank you

De Rust cottage and surrounding mountains exceeded our expectations! We had an unforgettable weekend with special friends in the cosy house…with more than enough beds with supersoft bedding… and unimaginable views. We will definitely be back. Thank you Corlia for being a lovely host. The house had everything we needed and more…and the seating outside was soothing to the soul. We loved watching the horses, played cricket and explored the farm on foot. Excellent mountain sanctuary to recharge, reset and realign.

Michelle is an incredible host. I had car trouble on the day and was delayed. Michelle kept checking in and reassuring me that they are flexible to support me. And the unit was exactly what I needed for a 1 night stopover. Lovely set up for pets, amazing shower, aircon and comfortable, clean bed. I'll definitely stop over here again next time.

I cannot recommend Wikus and the Olive chalet more! What a fantastic place for a stopover on a long journey. So kind and thoughtful and his communication was fantastic! 5 stars!! The cafe onsite is also a must and so convenient and their Sunday buffet lunch a huge win. They cater for both vegetarian and “a bit of everything” food lovers! The beautiful setting is a great bonus. You will not be disappointed to stay here! Thanks again for your hospitality, Wikus!

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful and large farm house! The little kids loved the farm with its sheep and the dam! We will definitely be back! Robyn was a delight to deal with and made the whole experience even more wonderful, thank you!

I can honestly say that this cottage, its location (both isolated and near a good town, with many natural attractions) is absolutely perfect for whatever type of holiday one chooses. Robyn, herself, is amazing! So extremely helpful. She kindly searched if there were any road closures affecting my long journey to Underberg (R56). Everything is as described. Personally, I found it all even better. The lovely thatched roof cottage has so much useable space (both inside and out). Excellent for one person (as in my case), couples, families or even a group of friends. The drive into the property is half the fun - crossing a small stream was an added bonus. While in the area, I highly recommend driving up (and down) the Sani Pass - with an SUV (can be a 4x2 as I had); along with venturing into Lesotho - the newly finished highway is fabulous for about 60 kms (into the first major town). Try not to miss out on this spectacular scenery. On a sunny day this entire area is paradise

Unbelievable spot. Beautiful views and comfortable home. Peaceful holiday spot. Simon (the host) was incredible and made our stay very easy. 10/10 would go back!

What a beautiful weekend to refresh and reboot before the busy Festive Season. The setting and views are spectacular with horses and cows in the adjacent paddocks. Not sure who had a better weekend, the family or our dogs.

Thank you so much - The Green Lantern was really lovely, it was beautiful and we had a warm welcome. Doggies and kids all welcome and it works so well in the tranquil setting. The food at the restaurant was very good - I have one recommendation though, if the menu could be sent and people can also order ahead specially since the restaurant only takes orders until 8pm. Loved the table tennis and the staff and chess.

What a wonderful peaceful place together away from it all. The walks and views were fantastic. Nature all around, swallows nesting and so special to see the dinosaurs footprints. Hillary gave us a warm welcome and we had a fantastic time, thank you!

Wir haben die Unterkunft nach unserer Ankunft in Johannesburg als Zwischenstopp genutzt. Sehr schöne und ruhig gelegene Unterkunft. Die Betreuung von Lindi war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Unterkunft ist sehr gut zur Selbstversorgung ausgestattet. Klare Weiterempfehlung!

It was hard to leave the beauty of the mountain views from our cave behind. Cave dwelling was a unique experience for us all and the hikes recommended were outstanding! Estelle and Steve were very kind and helpful, thanks for sharing your paradise with us, it was so very different from any other place we have ever been to!

Being welcomed in person - obviously caring for us - felt a bit like coming home :-) Next time here again!

The perfect stop over for us and our kids on our drive back to Joburg. Cosy home with all we needed and lots of space and jungle gym for the kids to burn off energy. And getting to see the horses was a huge bonus! We will be back next time!

Magda and Chris are charming warm and friendly hosts. You immediately feel at ease on arrival. A map and quick guide of the area proved invaluable. Their place is a true hidden gem in the Drakensberg, waiting for you to discover it. Stunning uninterrupted views filled with beautiful birdsong choruses in landscaped gardens. The house is charming and the open plan kitchen and living spaces are great to spend time with loved one's. The kitchen is fully equipped and provides everything you need and more. Little complementary goods on arrival add to the unique touch and welcome of their place. We lost time sitting on the outside terrace enjoying the beauty of the area. Fire and gas bbq's are provided with a complementary stack of wood for all you braai enthusiasts out there. Lastly thankyou to Chris and Magda for an unforgettable stay. We will definitely be coming back.
