I've been to a ton of Airbnb's and VRBO's, but nobody has ever been as communicative, responsive, helpful, and friendly as Jamal! He really went beyond the call of duty to make our stay great. Now that I know the New Orleans people a little, I can say he is indeed cut from their very fine cloth. The place was cozy, clean, and a great value in a charming neighborhood. I highly recommend staying here! Thank you, Jamal!!

We had a great stay for our girls trip! There was plenty of space for 7 of us to get ready each day and to spend time hanging out. I loved that each room had a lighted mirror in addition to the bathrooms.! The location was an easy drive to the popular sites. The sound machines provided were a nice touch to cover nighttime city sounds. We enjoyed the swim spa. It was a nice break in the afternoon before going out in the evening. Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Fantastic location if you are active and like to walk. Easy walk to market, restaurants, drug store etc and not too far to heart of Frenchman and the Quarter. Cute yard and nice hot tub. Walls are somewhat thin but mostly very quiet when we were home and very quiet at night. Felt very comfortable and at home in this unit. Super clean!! King bed was sooooo comfortable. Loved so much extra bedding, pillows and blankets throughout. Great light!

If you’re searching for a place that is comfortable, quiet, in a location that has walkable cafes, and is walkable to the French Quarter this is the place to book. We loved our stay! It’s about 10 minutes from the French Quarter. We enjoyed being out of the hustle and bustle down there . Plus we had space for my family of four. We loved the backyard pool and hot tub, really an oasis back there . Brittney and her husband were super friendly! My son loved the neighborhood cat Tethers. He often sat on the porch with the cat! Would love to come back some day !

Absolutely loved staying here. Everything was a described and pictured. The place was so cozy and decorated beautifully. The neighborhood was very peaceful and walkable. Amazing kitchen with everything one would need. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in NOLA.

The home was exactly as pictured. All the appliances were new and in great condition. The ceiling fans and ac kept us comfortable. Lots of towels, wash clothes and all the essentials and more for kitchen and bathroom! Rik stocks plenty of the little comforts like paper goods, dishwashing liquid and laundry supplies. There was even fresh ground coffee for our first pot!The electronics were really easy to figure out .The beds were both super comfortable and everything was immaculate. We knew the location would require using Uber,so it wasn’t an issue. Know that public transport is not ‘steps away’ if you are a little bit older. Another thing for older guests to note is the very deep tub. Rik is a responsive and helpful host. Communication was easy , clear and prompt. Although we didn’t find a ‘house book’ Rik took extra care to give me recommendations for music and food. We felt very safe and at home. This is a solid choice of home base. I’d love to stay again!

We loved our stay at Vickie’s place and would come back in a heartbeat. It was tastefully decorated, giving it a real NOLA feel, and had everything we needed for a relaxing break from our adventures around town. It was private, quiet, and the beds were extremely comfortable. It was so nice to unwind on the patio and enjoy the native plant species and atmosphere. 10/10 would recommend.

The place was very quaint. There was an issue with the plumbing in the bathroom that the cleaners had found and Gabby kept us informed of when it would be fixed. Other than that the place was great. The beds were comfortable even the couch. I would definitely recommend it especially if you are looking for something not in the hustle and bustle of the French Quarter.

Favorite place we've stayed while in New Orleans. This shotgun house was the perfect homebase for our weekend getaway with friends. We absolutely loved the location off Magazine in the Garden District. Even though we had a coffee maker, we opted to walk right around the corner to the very first original PJ'S coffee house (pet friendly!). Whole Foods around the block was super convenient as well. Walgreens across the street. We woke up and picked fresh satsumas and grapefruit for our mimosas. Jimmy stopped by with fresh, homemade pasta that we cooked late night as we had been traveling all day. It really was fantastic! Jimmy also suggested Guy's Poboys for lunch and it was just a short walk and few blocks away. It was nice to sit out on the front balcony area and enjoy the breeze while watching people and doggies walk by. I really enjoyed waking up each morning and walking through the neighborhood streets, so pretty. Discovering Octavia Book store at the end of the block was a delight!

I loved staying here! The house is full of character and decorated beautifully. I loved the neighborhood and felt safe the whole time. The home is even bigger than I thought, and you cannot hear anything from the front of the house to the back. It’s like two separate houses - which is nice! The house was really clean and it had all the amenities stated! I would 100% stay here again. Thank you for having us!

Darlene was so responsive and went out her way to offer things to do nearby. Her place has everything you need and is very comfortable and peaceful and safe. I had a great stay!

Very comfortable space in a neighborhood that felt safe and welcoming. Ready access to New Orleans’ premier tourists destinations, including the French Quarter. Space was clean, tidy, and had access to numerous entertainment options. Yard was cozy and our dog loved it. We couldn’t figure out how to plug the bathtub, but that may have been an “us” issue. Pleasantly surprised by some alcohol gifted in the fridge. Would stay here again.

Fatima's Son and Husband was extremely helpful and friendly when we first arrived. I was at the wrong cabin and Fatima responded immediately. And her family guided us. Fatima had the sweetest spirit ever. Very welcoming and The cabin is Perfect for 2 people but we made 3 work. Their website was extremely helpful with finding places to explore. The place was very peaceful only 22 mins from the French Quarters in New Orleans. They had the best rates during Mardi Gras. I loved the screened in Porch which made it perfect for a late night or early morning Meditation, read, or journal writing. I would definitely use this place again. Very Cozy.

My husand I enjoyed our stay. it was as described. I appreciated the privacy and it was close to where we wanted to be. Fatimah was responsive to questions and helped solve minor issues we had with some of the remote controls. We would definitely stay here again.

This is a great stay away from crowed after going to Mardi Grass. The atmosphere was very pleasing. It's like 31 minutes from Bourbon street

We really enjoyed our stay in Jean Lafitte. The surrounding area felt very safe and secure. We could not get over the beautiful surroundings. My kids had a blast fishing and learning how to use a casting net. Julie was the icing on the cake for this trip. We had a bad storm while we were staying there and she checked on us to make sure we were ok. She made sure we had everything we needed and she even blessed our daughter with a Christmas present. We would love to stay here again!

We loved everything about our cabin. The place was spotless & the beds were very comfortable, the area was peaceful. We enjoyed walking around the property and having coffee on our inclosed porch. Even noticed a fireplace area, and a covered area with picnic tables, grills and even a vending machine, great for family gatherings. Located 20 mins outside of downtown New Orleans, Fatimah gave us a great tip, to take the $2 ferry boat over to downtown. even reached out to see if we needed anything else. Coming from Michigan in the winter to a heated pool is always a plus. I will definitely be back.
