Our second visit in three months, my husband and I returned to the Best Box for a longer stay between Christmas and New Year’s. Five nights was perfect and let us forget all our troubles. Amanda has thought of everything you could need. Even some lovely Christmas decorations that blended it beautifully with the rest of the interior design. Amanda is a super host - so thoughtful and responsive and wants to make sure you get the most out of your time at the house. Whether you want to be active on the water or chill out with incredible views, this is the perfect home to do everything and nothing. We can’t wait to come back to this very special place.

Fantastic stay. Great fishing at the Oregon Inlet fishing center. This house was perfectly located. Close to fishing and right on the beach.

We had a great stay at Michelle’s place! The house was spacious and had a great layout for our family. There was plenty of room on the large sofa, and we loved dining on the screened in porch. The house is in a great location with easy access to the grocery store and plenty of restaurants. We rented bikes and the kids loved biking to the pool and around the large neighborhood. The beach was a little bit of a walk but was definitely doable especially with a wagon to haul our things. The house is also a short drive to a great sound side beach. Michelle was very responsive and clear with communication. When we had an issue with the WiFi she resolved it right away. Check in was also a breeze. Between the beach, pool, paddle boarding on the sound, reading on the porch, board games, and surf lessons for the kids (Endless Summer Surf OBX) we had a fabulous week! We would definitely choose Michelle’s place for our Avon vacation again!

Had an amazing time, very quiet peaceful and relaxing. there was a lot more there than advertised. it was super clean which is a must for me. Michelle was easy to contact and responded very quickly! I will definitely recommend to others that are looking into the area.

Fantastic stay! Everything is as advertised and the hosts were very responsive and accommodating. My family and I stayed here over Thanksgiving and were happy to find a well-stocked kitchen, games galore, and TVs in every room - something for everyone. The hot tub is new and in great condition - a fantastic winter treat! Worth noting that the beds were very comfortable and having laundry access was an added bonus. The beach is just steps away and you can hear the ocean from every room in the house with windows open. A quaint cottage nestled into a private neighborhood but still not too far from shops and restaurants. It was everything we wanted and we’d definitely stay again. Highly recommend!

My family and I felt right at home in this cozy cottage. Great location, loved the privacy and porch. The beds slept great, nice liens and kitchen was equipped great to cook with. We will be back. Jennifer was fast and informative the entire time. Thank you for sharing your slice of paradise with our family.

Everything was exactly as described! What a great place to stay. Just heads up — if there are people staying in the unit above, you can definitely hear noise, but as long as you go into it expecting that possibility, no problem!

Everything you need and more! Super cute little cottage with lovely decor and comfy furniture. Plenty of room for up to 6 people. Every kind of dvd was available. These really came in handy as we were without internet for much of our stay due to hurricane Helene. David and Misty were super easy to get in touch with and very helpful with trying to help when the internet did not cooperate. I would not hesitate to come back to this house in the future.

Overall great place. Awesome homeowners. A few lights are out/ couldn’t find the light switch for it. However perfect place for a little getaway. Kayaking was so much fun.

Just Enough was that and so much more. Beautiful area, super porch for viewing the canal, really comfortable house. The kitchen had everything needed for cooking up some great fresh seafood. The seafood shop was just up the road by the way. Restaurants and grocery were all close by. Evenings on the porch were such a super way to relax after beaching, biking and kayaking. Really loved our stay

This was the cutest little beach cottage! We went for a 4 day get away with our small children and dog. Our 12 year old son absolutely LOVED fishing in the canal in the backyard. He’s an avid lover of fishing so this was perfect! We rented a kayak & had it delivered for him to use. We frequent the Hatteras area and this cottage was one we’d never tried but would definitely stay again! Thanks Gisa!

The house is nice and we were very comfortable. Plenty of space for two families with kids and pets. The pool is big and the deck is nice with several spots to sit and relax. The beach is huge in this part of North Avon and is rare these days in the outer banks. Highly recommend and would stay here again. No issues

We had a great stay at Out of the Blue. Margot was so responsive and helpful. Perfect location to get to/from beach easily and close to grocery, restaurants. Comfortable home. Would definitely return!

Amy's home was a great place for our family of 5 adults to gather for Christmas. Each of our adult children had their own room plus there are two gathering places for TV watching and activities. Spacious dining area. Very well equipped kitchen!! Whatever you want to make, Amy has a pan for that!! Easy walking distance to beach and lighthouse. Her beautiful Christmas decorations were a nice touch for the season. We would rent this place again if our travels take us back to OBX.

Loved loved loved it!!! Family vibes all around! Great loving dog and had some bikes to get around! So close to the beach! Wish I could live here forever!

We enjoyed the cottage very much. It was just what we wanted - no frills, but clean and functional, right on the beach, and away from the intense development of the beach farther north.

This place is so fun, we had an amazing time with kayaks and just sitting on the porch or in the backyard. We will absolutely be back it was beautiful, relaxing, and a lot of fun.

This place is so gorgeous! It’s spacious, bright, beautifully decorated with cozy beachy home vibe. You can spend time on the deck, in the screened porch, the cozy living room or the dinning area with beautiful view. Plenty of lounge furnitures to sit down and relax, plenty of towels, plenty of cooking/dining supplies. It is so well stocked in every way. I also LOVE the location, walkable to the beach, and since there is no light pollution here in the night, the Staring sky is breathtaking. If weather allows, I would strongly recommend to see the sunrise and stars. There is not much night life in this area, but we didn’t mind driving 30 mins to nags head area on the nights we want to hangout late. All in all, we enjoyed our stay a lot, I would stay here again if I come back to this area.

Great location, if you're new to outerbanks you'll never get lost finding this place. It's right across the Buxton water tower/radio station. It's quiet and private. We stayed for a week, easy drive to everywhere you want to be. It's walking distance to Pamlico cafe. Clean place, got everything you need. We spend most of our time out on the beach during the day. I wish there was a water faucet outside to wash our sandy feet. The kitchen has everything you need. Our host is very responsive and easy to communicate with. She's very accommodating and made sure that our family is well situated.
