Excellent stay at the villa, which is conveniently located close to the main street. The room is very comfortable, the Wi-Fi works perfectly, and there is also the option to cook in the kitchen. The owner is very friendly and helpful if you need anything. Highly recommended.

This stay was peacefully surrounded by rice fields - only a 15-20 minute walk away from the beach and main road. You get a private, standalone house with well-equipped kitchen (can always ask for more equipment from their professional kitchen in the main house) and very expansive bathroom. The wifi is well enough to work online and do video calls. In the shared lounge area you can also find a peaceful spot to read or do some work at a dedicated desk. The pool was cleaned multiple times a day and the staff was respectful and kind. Sampath managed the place with kindness and hospitality. He reacted very quickly to our messages and requests. He even helped us out to do groceries, offered to do take-out for us when we had to work one evening, recommended restaurants in the area and connected us with a place for our visa extension. You never felt that you were bothering Sampath and he came by to discretely check if all was OK for us each morning and evening (without being intrusive).

We spent a week at Gaya and Jagath’s lovely property and the standout was the stunning garden which turned out to be a huge banana and coconut plantation. The grounds are immaculately kept by the staff who live on site who are there 24/7 for any requests but they allow you your privacy. Jagath was extremely helpful communicating before we travelled and was on hand for my multiple questions. We stayed in the 2-bed bungalow (there is also a larger villa on the property) but the bungalow easily had the best views of the garden and I thoroughly enjoyed taking my morning coffee onto the verandah to watch the birds & peacocks. The bungalow itself is fairly basic in decor and could possibly benefit from a bit of colour on the inside walls but I understand this is a work in progress. We made good use of the bbq and a special shout-out to Hiran who is the local tuk-tuk driver and took us everywhere. Shanti-Shanti is a must for the location, tiger prawns and rope swing. HIGHLY RECOMMEND BOOKING

Great property in a private local area but walking distance to restaurants, shops and beaches. We came for surfing and the host and property manager was very helpful and the waves in Ahangama were perfect and consistent every day. We like to cook so the kitchen and amenities were good. The pool was lovely to relax in during the afternoon when the winds were on shore. Security at night was also a bonus. Highly recommend.

Lovely peaceful beautiful location by a river. It was like a mini totally private hotel with friendly helpful staff and a cook you can hire who will cook whatever you want. Beautifully, tastefully and interestingly furnished, some gorgeous big books to look through, 2 little boats and you can order a masseur to come to the house at very reasonably prices -it was so relaxing to have an ayuverdic massage by the river. Plus a super pool for a swim any time. It is slightly inland but for us that did not matter at all as we weren't looking for a beach stay. We all enjoyed our far too short stay and will definitely be recommending this villa and booking again next time we are in SL.

The host, Mike and Wally are super friendly and prompt on the response with any query. Shoutout to the G&T on the arrival. Oh also the furry babies are amazing and gentle. Location of the Airbnb itself is in a quaint corner, every morning you are woken up by the peacocks. Kitchen had all the necessary ingredients to cook up a meal. We had an absolutely lovely time. It’s certainly a repeat worthy experience for us. If you are looking to book this, definitely go for it.

Clare’s place was everything & more than what we were expecting. The villa is absolutely beautiful, set in the most peaceful & tranquil surroundings. Nuwan’s cooking and hosting was the cherry on the top of our experience. Tushara also really looked after us. We were able to organise 3 private yoga classes & a massage - personal highlights of my stay at the villa. All of the above meant that whenever we left the villa, we wanted to get back straight away to our private paradise even though Ahangama is a great area to visit. Highly recommend staying and experiencing the beauty of Villa Sisila!!

Such a great place to stay when visiting Hikkaduwa. The location is great right on the beach with easy access to local spots and frequent tuk tuks around if you want to go further afield. The house staff were so so friendly and helpful and went over and above to make us welcome. The food they prepared was delicious and they all tried hard to play with my 4 year old boy, he loved them all. Highly recommend!

Such a beautiful place with peaceful waterfront location, we stayed with a big group of 29 adults and south point villa and south point ocean was able to accommodate all of us very comfortably. We had a great time swimming in the pools and the ocean, taking sunset walks on the beach. The staff are lovely and work tirelessly to meet our needs, we had a wonderful stay and are already looking forward to returning next year.

We had the most wonderful family Christmas at Villa Olu. The villa exceeded our expectations - the photos don’t do it justice! It was the most perfect setting for relaxing, having fun, playing games and not to mention the incredible family meals prepared and cooked by Kumara and Nadi!Experiencing the delicious traditional Sri Lankan cuisine was a huge highlight. Kumara could not do enough to help us - book tuk tuks, arrange massages at the villa and arrange transport. The villa is incredibly peaceful yet only ten minutes from Galle where we enjoyed visiting shops, sites and cafes. We would not hesitate to stay at Villa Olu again, what a super family holiday!

We had the best holidays ever spending our time here, the house is amazing, every single detail have been taken care of, beautiful space to create memories. The swimming pool is perfect, the green space is beautiful and is surrounded by the most beautiful greenery. We had an amazing stay at TheBlues. Thank-you Janaka for making us feel so welcome and great communication throughout out stay, and to the lovely, friendly housemaids Nishani and Anousha who took care of us and cooked lovely meals whenever we wanted. The house is great, it's like staying in the jungle with monkeys jumping around in the trees whilst we enioyed the large pool. And the beautiful beach with turtles is very close-by, as are shops and cafes. Thoroughly recommend this beautiful property and Janaka as a host.

We were 10 days around the country, and without any question, this place was our favourite. The villa is an amazing place, very clean, fresh, the swimming pool inside is also very good. And the villa is very close to the river. The location is between Mirissa and Weligama (5 minutes each by scooter) Kasun was outstanding with us, they prepared a very nice breakfast, we couldn’t finished due to the quantity. If you are going to Weligama or Mirissa, book this villa.

I can not recommend a stay at The Casuarina Tree enough. Nestled in the quieter but perfectly accessible streets, this place is an absolute sanctuary with a luscious outdoor area for relaxing and an abundance of wildlife. The indoors is simply gorgeous and tastefully decorated, all rooms extremely spacious and everything you could need in the kitchen. Jeem the house manager stays in a separate quarter of the house and is very respectful of your space, we loved having him there. The most gentle man you will ever meet, he made us a delicious breakfast every morning and was on hand for any help we needed. The location is a perfect base for exploring this part of the south coast and within walking distance to the beach. We used a tuktuk driver that Jeem called, Tilanta! Take his number, we used him all week. And finally James is the best host and always on hand, we basically followed his recommendations and we had the perfect trip. Thank you for an amazing stay, it was a special one :)

Where can I start…. We stayed at this beautiful villa for three nights and by far the best accommodation we had in Sri Lanka. Villas is very spacious and clean. Alfresco area and the pool is very thoughtfully designed. Well maintained garden with beautiful surroundings. Most of all the hospitality that we received from Ananda, Noni and Nayana’s took it to a next level. We had home cooked Sri Lankan meals all three days and specially the Christmas Day lunch was superb. We made great memories and met awesome people at the coconut grove villa which we will never forget… Also thank you to Roshan ( tuk tuk driver) and Lesley was very responsive all the way!

We stayed for a week and loved every minute! The location is perfect, peaceful and private but only a short Tuktuk ride from Ahangama town. It’s not traditional self-catering, so no kitchen access but the wonderful staff are on hand to make you whatever you like, no request too much! We had our own private firework display and the team installed full length mirrors for us when we realised there wasn’t one. Honestly the team are lovely, discreet but always there to help. The villa isn’t in the heart of town, but only 5 mins Tuktuk or 30 min walk, which for us on a family holiday was perfect, quiet in the evenings, but so easy to go to the lively bars and restaurants in town. Our five-day stay at this house was truly enjoyable. We had a spacious apartment with three bedrooms and a living room connected to the kitchen. Each bedroom had its own private bathroom, which provided us with comfort and privacy. One of the biggest advantages of this place was its cleanliness – both the rooms and common areas were very well maintained. The owners were incredibly kind and helpful, making us feel truly comfortable throughout our stay. Another great benefit was the option to order meals. We took advantage of this and tried traditional Sri Lankan dinners, which were delicious and well-prepared. The location also impressed us – just a two-minute bus ride from the apartment was a beautiful beach, perfect for swimming and relaxing. Additionally, the house had a clean swimming pool with warm water, which was a fantastic addition to our stay.
