We recently stayed at a wonderful homestay in Sikkim and were their very first guests since it had just opened. The host, Pema, is incredibly warm and welcoming, greeting us with a refreshing cup of lemon tea. The homestay is cozy, with clean rooms, a well-equipped kitchen, and a great location within walking distance of MG Marg. Grocery stores and a meat market are only about 200 meters away, making it very convenient. Pema went above and beyond, providing clear directions, recommending sightseeing spots, and arranging a car for our tours. Dilan Rai, the driver, was just as kind and knowledgeable, making our sightseeing trip memorable. On our last day, Pema even cooked us a delicious homemade breakfast. The price is very reasonable for such a great location and service. We highly recommend this homestay for anyone visiting Sikkim and will definitely return for our next trip to North Sikkim. We are deeply grateful for Pema's hospitality, making our stay in Sikkim unforgettable!

If you are looking for a place to put up away from the hustle and bustle of Gangtok city , yet not too far, then this is the place, "Nest in Garden". Weighing out few other options i had chosen this place for a family vacation in the 3rd week of Dec 2019, and i must say, i did the right thing. Property is clean,amenities are good, and as described in Airbnb portal, rooms are thoughtfully curated with the right kind of furniture, not overdone but certainly portrays taste of the owner, a full functional kitchen and most importantly the whole property is augmented with a beautiful and well maintained terrace garden consisting of carefully chosen flora, which adds up to the ambiance and sets the mood of the vacation. Me and my family spent majority of the time in this terrace garden, having comfy sitting arrangement. MG Marg is 10 mts away from this place, one can get a taxi ( Rs 20 /person ), other enthusiast can walk down.Things of daily needs are all available right outside the property, hence very strategically located. What made our stay special was something else, the warmth and hospitality of Dr. OT and Ms Mamta, they are awesome hosts, they went out of the way to sense and fulfill our untold needs, wonderful gestures of kindness and support. What i could make out is that Dr O T is a doctor by profession, a host by passion and true gentleman. Thank you Dr O T for the quality time that we spent with you and Mamta mam ( must say will always remember the evening campfire which certainly did spread other energy apart from heat :) ). Lastly but not the least, thanks to the extended family of Dr O T, Pasangkit and Purva who were instrumental in making sure, things were perfect during our stay. Will recommend this place for everyone, and will visit again.

I booked for my mother a nd aunt . According to them inside ambience is clean . As senior citizen to take the stairs is not comfortable. inside the washroom anemities should be added according to price per day kitchen area : tea and coffee ☕ and dry snacks arrange should be more elaborate. Heaters are working effectively during this chiill weather . Nice cosy inside and neat Alll over Nice !!!

I had an amazing stay at BOJO House! Tashi, the host, made the experience unforgettable. He was incredibly attentive and always available whenever we needed anything, providing local tips and ensuring we were comfortable throughout our stay. The house itself is stunning — beautifully designed with a modern, cozy vibe, and the view from the property is absolutely breathtaking! It’s perfectly located near the main road, making it convenient to explore the area while still offering a peaceful retreat. The atmosphere was serene and welcoming, truly a home away from home. Whether you're here for a relaxing getaway or to explore the surroundings, BOJO House is the perfect spot. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for comfort, beauty, and a fantastic host!

We had a fantastic stay at Mr. Chandra’s place in Gangtok! He was constantly in touch with us ensuring a smooth arrival. His warm hospitality made us feel right at home. The room was cozy, spotless, and perfect for a comfortable stay. What truly stood out was the absolutely wonderful home-cooked dinner — delicious, wholesome, and made with so much care. Mr. Chandra goes above and beyond to make his guests feel welcomed and taken care of. Highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Gangtok!

What's special about this place? EVERYTHING!! 1. Hospitality: to be honest ...it didn't feel like we were away from home for even once. The owners are very warm hearted, loving and take care of everything without even leaving anything to complain about. They even invited us in for traditional drink - Tongba (I am sorry, if i have murdered the spelling). It was really inspiring to see how they have preserved their traditional values like this. 2. Location: This place little bit off the main road which leads to the most amazing feature of this place - serenity. You will listen to the rooster at 4 in the morning, the moment sun rises , birds starts chirping. The impeccable view of sunrays falling on the kanchenjunga peak is beyond explanation. And the lush green surroundings with Rhododendrons all over the place will make you fall in love with this place. 3. Food: They cook the food with lot of love and nutrients. Although, sikkim is an organic state but their food quality will make you lick your fingers everytime you take a bite. Cleanliness: Sparkling clean!! That's all I want to say. I just want to give one example about how they took care of every teenie tiny thing when we were there: "They put one pair of scissors for cutting the coffee sachets in the room. " I have never seen such gesture anywhere. I just loved this place .

Thanks to Tenzing Sir for being a wonderful host. He has been very proactive to help us feel at home. The place was home like cozy, spacious and beautifully decorated. It's located near a main Street and has access to shops/atms etc. I'd definitely recommend it for everyone planning a family trip or otherwise :)

Amazing place, I fell in love with the house. The food we were served was amazing too. Great value for money. The ambiance is something I will remember forever. Definitely staying here if I'm in Gangtok again. The place is a bit far (15 walking) from M G marg and you have to take a cab that is just available after a short walk downhill. The area is quite and amazing, perfect for a stay in the hill stations, away from the noise. Amazing place for a short walk around. Would recommend 110%

I had pleasant experience at Angila's place. She is a very helpful host and often went out of way to ensure my needs are met. She also runs a cafe adjacent to the AirBnb. I was here for a workcation and I would work at the cafe. Although there is no desk in the room, it worked out perfectly for me. WiFi at her place was super fast and reliable. Highly recommended if you would like Himalayan serenity and quietness. Slightly difficult to get a cab if you want to get around but Angila ensures her guests get all the help.

I recently had a wonderful two-day stay at this charming place. Simon was responsive and attentive, making us feel right at home. The well-maintained space was spotless and inviting. I appreciated the comfortable amenities and the host's helpful recommendations. Can't recommend this place enough!

We had a peaceful and comfortable stay at this 4BHK. The place was quiet and perfect for a relaxing trip. A special mention to Sujika and Mamta, who cooked delicious food for us and were incredibly helpful with local recommendations. During our stay, my mom fell sick, and they took great care of her, ensuring she had the right food and medicines on time. Ashish, the host, was also amazing—he helped us with local sightseeing and travel since he had his own vehicle, making our trip much smoother. The only thing to note is that the washrooms in two rooms were quite small, which might be an issue if you’re very tall. But overall, it was a great stay with warm hospitality. Would definitely recommend it!

Akash’s place is great place to stay and Akash is a great host. His place is in main area near to MG marg just beside Smart bazar so you can find everything near by only. We enjoyed a lot at this place. Well furnished and decorated. Things that can be improved. 1. Hangers in wadrobe. 2. Entry to the flat was bit dirty because of other flat renovation workk. 3. All the utensils are electric so in case pf power cut nothing can be cooked. 4. Some more utensils would be good.

My brothers and I had an amazing stay at 'Orchid Stays' in Gangtok, Sikkim. The central location made it convenient, with all shops within walking distance. As in most hilly areas, the property is downhill from the ground floor, which might be difficult for elderly guests with luggage. However, the host is very helpful, so discussing this beforehand is advisable. The property is well-equipped with modern amenities, and the kitchen had all necessary utensils, making cooking easy. Our host, Khagesh, was friendly, always reachable, and even helped arrange a travel agent for sightseeing. His warm hospitality truly enhanced our experience. A highlight was watching India win the Champions Trophy Final against New Zealand—an unforgettable moment! A fantastic stay with a great host—highly recommended! Would love to visit again.
