Peaceful spot at the "far side" of Barrydale. We arrived and instantly felt ready to just kick back, read, and watch the birds. Our caravan was cozy and comfy and we would have loved to stay more than 1 night. Even though it's a "senior" caravan it's well-looked after and has everything one needs. (Shower and toilet are 10ish meters up from the caravan - but they work like a charm, great water pressure and cleverly positioned to be private enough). Recommend this spot for everyone who looks for the kind of peace that only nature can give.

This place was amazing! We felt right at home and the hosts were very friendly and welcoming they gave us great recommendations of surrounding activities to do which suited us. The place itself was beyond our expectations and we’ll definitely go back in the near future. If tranquility is what you’re looking for you’ll definitely get it here.

Without a doubt great value for money. We stayed in the River tented accommodation (Number 5) and it was amazing. Cozy and warm with a beautiful bath tub and situated right on the river. So much to do for kids on the property from feeding animals, bass fishing, playground, hikes, not to mention very close to Cango caves, orstich farm and the Cango crocs. My only regret was not staying longer! Stop looking and just click pay now....Trust me. nothing better than this in the area. get a tented camp on the river or one in the mountain side....you won't be disappointed .

A friend and I stayed with Chase for one night. We had a wonderful time there! It’s such a beautiful garden with lots of love for the details. Amenities are clean and well organised. It’s easy to get in contact with other guests and at the same time the property is spacious enough for privacy. Definitely a recommended accommodation!

We experienced a magical stay at Gerhard's place, beautiful natural beautiful. One of the best beds and pillows we've slept on, the tent is extremely comfortable, bathroom and amenities are exactly as described. If you want to be close to nature, then go no further. Waking up to a deer and its baby staring into the tent, eas magical. One of the best airbnb stays.

Ein traumhafter Rückzugsort mitten im Wald. 🌳 Man hört abends die Grillen und man schläft im Wohnwagen. Ein Feuer kann man sich auch anmachen und Essen kochen ist auch kein Problem. 😊 Ja man braucht zum hinkommen ein höheres Auto 🚙, da man durch viele Schlaglöcher durch fährt. Aber sonst sehr zu empfehlen, vor allem der kleine Whirlpool, der mit Feuer warm gehalten wird. 🔥

Thandi's caravan is magical! Our stay exceeded our expectations. We definitely overpacked because everything one needs is already there and ready for guests. Thandi goes the extra mile, from the beautiful vanilla body wash to the sweet, drinking water on tap. Their doggies are great tour guides and flying insect repellants! 😂 The birds, butterflies and spiders were all reminders of how we can coexist with nature without any worries. ❤ If you needing a breath of fresh air, a clear mind and Mother Nature to leave you in awe - this is the place. We will be back! 🌵 P.S. You might need to rescue a frog or two from the bath. 😋

Thank you so much to Rowan and team! The accomodation was thoroughly and thoughtfully prepared for us, including one or 2 extra amenities we requested. Our 4 night stay was incredible and we were wonderfully comfortable throughout, despite rain and cold weather. There is a secluded beach a short distance away and it was a definite highlight of our trip.

Amazing location thanks Natalie we will definitely be back. Incredible views with direct access to Karatara river and Swartvlei. Beautiful kayaking or sailing spot with lots of birdlife. Simple facilities provided exactly as the description lists but you really don't need anything more.
