Loved this place! I’m an Airbnb host so I’m shamefully picky about places. This place was terrific. Love that there were different pillows in the closet so you could find the one you like best, there’s coffee, creamer, and sugar, and we really enjoyed sipping coffee on the deck. Great location close to the water. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Our family loves this house! Close to the city without being in it; close to Honey Island swamp and close to Slidell where you can pick up groceries. While close, it’s still private for peace, quiet and family time. Everyone loves hanging on the dock fishing, crabbing and shrimping. This was our 2nd stay and we are planning on coming back in 2027!

He truly went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed for a memorable stay. The highlight of our trip was undoubtedly the stunning dock! We spent countless hours soaking up the sun, enjoying the peaceful views, and even spotted some local wildlife. It was the perfect spot for morning coffee and evening sunsets, making our getaway feel truly special. Overall, our experience in Lafitte was unforgettable, and this Airbnb played a huge part in that. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway with beautiful surroundings, comfortable accommodations, and incredible hospitality from Keary, look no further. I can’t wait to return! Lisa was the best host , the home was emaculant, and the view was out of this world. I was able fish ( I didn't catch anything), bed was comfy. I've done air BNB for a while, hands down, Lisa's home is atop the list.......

I was traveling alone with my dog and it was perfect for what we needed. No frills or thrills but a safe and quiet neighborhood. It’s an old house, which I love, but that comes with less amenities than some might expect. For me, it was just right. I appreciated the clear instructions and that I could come and go without disturbing anyone. The hosts were responsive and left me be. It looks like there are a few available bookings on the property, which I’d like to explore when traveling with muiltiple parties, such as my extended family. It would be nice to have us all there together but in separate spaces. I would definitely book again.

I am not sure how to turn 1,000 characters into an understanding of the perfection that is a stay with Maxie and Lydia. Also, I don't know how wise it is to say TOO much or the place may never be available to be booked! But in all seriousness.. the location is amazing full or freedom and serenity. Close enough to everything without being in any particular thoroughfare. Time seems to slow down around you just enough to enjoy your surroundings and take the time to look around you. Thoughtful touches are everywhere and the hosts!! You could not ask for kinder, more generous hosts. They offer their home, their spirit and their recommendations. This was our second trip to this spot and I am already planning the third and fourth!

This place is very cute with all the amenities you need! Nice hot shower with great water pressure. Right next to the marina bar that serves good food and drinks. Would definitely recommend.

We loved our stay at Stillwater! This cottage was a great home base for us to explore the area and revisit many of the natural areas we always enjoyed when we lived in Louisiana years ago. The cottage is private and located near a bayou that had a serene nature walk down to it. The sunroom was a wonderful relaxing spot at the end of the day or in the morning. We also enjoyed hanging out on the patio to take in nature. The cottage had everything for a great stay. Glad to have the washer and dryer. Donna was a friendly host with good communication. Would highly recommend this place. We definitely would enjoy returning sometime.

Excellent stay! Accommodated two adults, two teens, and three children with ease. Loved the location; felt secluded and private while close enough to walk or make a short drive to the lakefront, playgrounds, restaurants, shops, etc. We would definitely return.

Carolyn is very nice and responsive, can’t go wrong staying at her place if you’re in the area.

This is our second time that we have had guests stay at this location and as always, they have just loved.

Jayson's home was charming and peaceful! Perfect cottage getaway. Clean, cozy, and exactly as pictured. Very proactive with communication and quick responses! Highly recommend for a relaxing escape! We will definitely stay here our next visit.
