We had a perfect weekend! The size of the house was great for our 3 family trip. We enjoyed the patio and the separate living room spaces. The kitchen had everything we needed and we enjoyed using the Big Green Egg to grill. We would stay here again for sure!

This is the third time I have stayed in this home. It is beautiful, very clean and well-maintained. The host, Michel, is a pleasure to work with. He is very accommodating, kind and helpful. It’s a beautiful home with a gorgeous view! Thank you, Michel, for allowing us to stay in your amazing home!

Everything was as listed. Nice and clean. Modern furniture, fixtures, and tile. Made me feel at home but in the country. Would stay here if I could every time we visit.

We enjoyed the property and the house. The upstairs steps are a little steep but as long as you are careful going up it was fine. The view of the lake was amazing and enjoyed beautiful sunrises and sunsets. There were 10 of us and never felt crowed.

This home was great for a long weekend! We had terrible weather but were able to enjoy the basement level and theater room! All of the restaurants are within 10 minutes max. Definitely will come back when it’s warmer! Cody was an excellent host!

This place was everything that was advertised. It was easy to find, immaculate, had everything we could possibly need, even provided everything for s'mores by the fire pit (which we put to use!). We got there at night, and when we all got up the next morning and saw the view of the lake we were all stunned. It was just beautiful. There was parking for our three cars, and a ramp by the entrance if needed. Val checked on us several times to see if we needed anything, but we never did. I will definitely rebook here.

The house was perfect for my family’s Thanksgiving get together. We enjoyed Stephanie’s house. The kitchen is even better stocked with dishes than my own home. The view of the lake is absolute beautiful in the morning. The space was perfect for our family needs. Will definitely stay here again in the future. Highly recommend it!!

My family and I stayed at Gilbert’s cabin for the Christmas Holidays and really enjoyed it. The cabin sits on a large piece of land, so even though there are neighbors it feels very private. It was very quiet and the fire pit outside was the perfect place to stargaze. The cabin is only 10-15 minutes to downtown Blue Ridge and there are also plenty of hikes nearby as well. We would love to come back in the summertime and enjoy the lake!

Other than some minor damages around the house, everything was as shown in the pictures. The only other thing to note is the barstools around the spool table are the same barstools shown outside, a minor thing, but we did have to move some stools outside if everyone wanted to sit on the porch. I wish it would have been clearer to us that we needed to take out trash when leaving before we reserved, but as the instructions are shown in the booking I will not make a big deal out of it. The view was amazing and Jeremy was very quick in responding to our questions. Overall a great stay and value!

We could not be happier with our stay. The house was so comfy and plenty of room for the 6 of us. Huge backyard with lots of room in the yard and on the patio. I did not bring my dogs but they would have been right at home. The sweetest little area for them inside and out. And, you would never know a dog has ever been on that property. Lovely little extras like “Smore Corner” and bathroom immunities in cute decorative bags. We made great use of the hot tub and dock. Our biggest catch was an 11lb catfish, but we caught fish every day right off of the dock. Crappie and bluegill, but lots of catfish. Locals swear on live bait and it did not disappoint. Super comfy beds. Loved that the bunks all had their own private reading lights.

Chasing Shade was exactly as described. We’ve been going to Reed Creek for over 30 years, so it was fun to stay near the SC part of the lake. The house is close to everything. Even though it’s on a busy road, it’s set far enough back and has a huge yard. We loved that it was dog friendly, so that we could travel with our labradoodle. The decks and dock have great views of the lake. Swimming and fishing right off the dock was perfect. We even caught some fish! The kitchen and house were well stocked with necessities and more. It was nice to have inflatables and beach towels. The beds were very comfortable. Overall - a solid 5 star property!

The property was absolutely beautiful, also has a wonderful neighbor, the fenced yard was much larger than expected, gave our dog some freedom to run around, something we don’t have in Miami. Also, the area is super quiet, a great place to go to get away from everyday stress. The lake is also beautiful, property has a large amount of lakefront area, available kayaks allowed us a few days of exercise and peaceful time on the water. House absolutely adorable, everything we needed for a getaway. Jami is also a great host, answered all questions within minutes. Would definitely come back if I get another chance to get away. Thank you Jami and Will for allowing us to use your beautiful property for a few days. Only regret is we didn’t have more days to stay. Back to life I go.

We had a last minute cancellation in Amelia Island due to flooding. We found this house as we pivoted and thankful we did! It was such a nice improvement for what we originally booked. It was just two of us and a dog, but I plan on bringing my family back as they had lots of space for more! The backyard is fenced in for a dog. Perfect location for driving to adventures and restaurants. Mary is so quick to respond and really saved our weekend!! Thank you again and I look forward to staying here again!!

Sidhant was a great host and responded to all of our needs quickly. Perfect for 2 large families enjoy time on the lake! We were able to dock our boat. Water depth is great here for boat and swimming. Dock was not far from the house as most others can be at Lake Lanier.

This place was amazing, peaceful quiet, amazing view. We took my 16-year-old daughter there. It was her birthday not too far from the city but far enough would recommend this place to anybody hopefully be able to go back soon. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your home.

The house was absolutely perfect for our needs. We were in town for our daughters wedding and the game room, mini golf course and fire pit area kept the wedding party entertained in our downtime. The location is beautiful and private! The host is very responsive and we had no issues. We are already talking about returning for a summer trip next year!

Our host was so kind and for that I am so thankful! The home and property are beautiful. The kitchen is way better equipped than any other place I’ve stayed (at least 10 different ones) which is awesome if you love to cook like me and are there cooking a holiday feast! Y’all, no place will feel perfect because no other place is your own home but this place comes close. Ildi’s responsiveness and kindness are the icing on the cake. We had a simple and pleasant experience here at the lake house and that’s all that we prayed for.

Our mountain getaway was spectacular! We usually vacation at the beach, so I was initially apprehensive, but this home made all the difference. The natural gas fireplace, fire pit, dock with canoes and paddleboards, and thoughtful touches like s’mores kits and spices made it feel like a true home. Everything we needed was provided, and the appliances were fantastic—our Thanksgiving turkey cooked quickly. Our group of six adults and four kids had plenty of space and activities to enjoy. The kids stayed entertained while the adults relaxed by the fire. The home is beautifully furnished and decorated, with an owner who was a pleasure to work with. The only caution: if you're not used to mountainous terrain, arrive during the day. The roads are twisty and the steep driveway is a challenge at night, but it’s worth it for such an incredible stay. We’re grateful for this experience and can’t wait to return next year!

My son had a last minute football event nearby, and we didn’t want to book a hotel. We are so grateful to have found this property and the serenity that it offers. Leland is an exceptional host! We hope to stay here again when we’re in the area.

We were comfortable from the moment we walked through the door of this house. It's welcoming with an ideal balance of private and communal space, inside and out. The kitchen had everything we needed, so over three days we ate every meal at the house. We didn't always need to cook because there was prepared food within a few minutes' drive. Susan provided plenty of suggestions for groceries, restaurants, and activities at Veterans State Park. We all slept great and attribute that to the quality of the bedding and mattresses as well as the sense of peace in the neighborhood. We spent evenings working on a puzzle enjoying a cozy fire and the fairy lights around the mantle. The wifi allowed remote work. Susan communicated well and was quick to respond to questions. She was personable and welcoming. We look forward to returning in warmer weather when we can take advantage of the pool and spend more time on the dock watching the sunset. We couldn't be happier with our stay. Thanks, Susan!
