The place is very comfy and surrounded by nature, perfect for a weekend getaway. Garth and Rebecca is very responsive and friendly, would love to stay here again.

Loved the space! Hottub and sauna were amazing and so relaxing. 5 minute walk to great restaurants in town, free parking and right on the beach! Would love to come back and book again :). The host was quick to reply to any questions we had and super helpful! Thanks so much for the stay

Michael and Margaret are great hosts. We head up to their place every winter now for a little cottage country escape. They are super responsive and helpful. Their place is warm, cozy, and has a great hot tub under the stars (and under the snow if you’re lucky). We’ll be back again!

I just returned from The Ginger, and I highly recommend it! Marsha has created a beautiful, cozy, and welcoming space. The place was spotlessly clean and thoughtfully stocked with everything needed for a relaxing staycation—extra towels, toiletries, games, cookware, and plenty of firewood for the fire pit, which even has a grill for cooking. The kitchen was fully equipped, and every appliance worked perfectly. Marsha was quick to respond whenever we needed anything. The living area was cozy, with a big couch, TV, and an indoor fireplace. There were also extra heaters apart from the central heating, ensuring warmth and comfort. The only minor issue was that the fire pit area got quite dark at night, and the battery-operated lamps didn’t work, so we had to use phone flashlights. However, this was a minor inconvenience and didn’t take away from the amazing experience. Marsha has put great effort into making this place feel like home. I truly loved every moment spent here!

Such an amazing weekend away which also turned into an engagement weekend! Great host and amazing place to stay! Will be back again and again and again!!

We had a great time at The Love Shack. Bobby greeted us at the door and was an amazing co-host. McKellar lake is absolutely beautiful, the evening canoes were perfect. So peaceful and quiet, yet still a quick drive to Perry Sound which has everything you'd need. Would definitely recommend to anybody looking for a nice retreat.

The location is perfect, very peaceful, feels private, with miles of hiking trails, nearby stores just a few miles away to get the basic stuff. We enjoyed exploring the area and found plenty of great entertaining options nearby. Overall, our experience was nothing short of amazing. We cannot recommend Marie and their property highly enough! She is a great host, easy to deal with, with some very impressive communication skills ( and I'm not an easily pleased person). The horses she owns brought back so many memories. The cabin is an ideal place for a romantic gate away, the windows above the bed are giving the " night under the starrs" feeling. Our two doggies were enjoying the stay too. I'll most definitely be back there in a few months time. !!

My partner and I absolutely loved our romantic weekend getaway at the cabin! We got to experience our anniversary cozy by the fire (both inside and outside), enjoying the hot tub, listening to our favourite albums on the record player, and feeling the serenity of the forest location and quiet neighbourhood. The kitchen was stunning and Kyle + Sam provided us with everything we could have needed for our stay. Kyle was friendly and proactive in his communication making our stay smooth and the check-in/out easy. This cabin is perfect and would highly recommend it to others. We will definitely be returning in the future!

We loved our stay here! The house was spotless and had everything we could’ve needed and more. The dock and watercrafts were our favourite daytime spot, and the dining table was perfect for groups games in the evenings. We didn’t get to use the fire pits but there were two of them! We’ll definitely be back!

We had a great stay at Stella’s place! Everything was as described. Comfortable bed. Kitchen had everything we needed. Great location close to Bala and Gravenhurst. Any questions we had were answered promptly. Would stay here again!

This was exactly what we were looking for. The Airbnb was way more roomy than I thought and it was a perfect weekend getaway location. Very clean and cozy. Everything we needed was there. Only downfall for us personally was the parking, only because we have a 8ft long box on our truck and due to the location of the driveway there was a curb to a roundabout directly in front which made it difficult to back into the driveway. On the positive note, when I mentioned to Rana about our troubles with the driveway, she was very helpful and offered us to park elsewhere (her property next door).

My stay at the cabin was absolutely delightful! The check-in process was seamless, and the host was incredibly helpful and communicative, making everything so easy. The cabin itself was warm, cozy, and impeccably clean, with everything we needed for a peaceful and comfortable stay. The highlight was definitely getting to feed the animals – the sweet donkey Pablo, the friendly horse Coalie, and the playful goats and alpacas. It was such a unique experience! The entire property is tranquil and beautiful, providing the perfect escape. I would love to return for another relaxing getaway! If you like winter walking, grab some snowshoes and book. I think it would also be so stunning in the fall when the leaves change. I can't wait to book again. Thank you so much, Brian and Colleen.

This was our second stay at Emily’s place and we will definitely return. We love the privacy and quiet surroundings, the very cute and modern rustic house, and that it’s dog friendly. Emily is a great and responsive host and we love having the cozy “cabin” to relax and unwind in with lots of space to spread out, cook, puzzle and sleep. Thanks Emily!

We had an amazing stay! The house was spotless, cozy, and set in such a beautiful, peaceful location. The fireplace was a perfect touch, making our evenings warm and relaxing. Communication with the host was effortless—they were always quick to respond and helpful. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Highly recommend.

Had an absolutely lovely stay at the cabin! Great location and very private. Perfect for our annual Autumn visit to the area to go to Algonquin Park, Huntsville and Screaming Heads. The cabin was well stocked, clean and very cozy... we truly had everything we needed. We were even greeted with a little basket of treats which was so sweet! Our kitty loved staying there as well. Leah's instructions were quite clear and she was very responsive to any questions we had. Our weekend was truly awesome, we would definitely love to come back!!!

This place was absolutely perfect for us. Everything you could possibly need was available and they thought of everything. My only suggestion would be to bring a window fan if staying in the summer - we went during a heat wave and found the fans were super helpful. Rob was very responsive and helpful when I sent messages. We are already looking at booking again because my family loved it so much!

My husband and I wanted a quick getaway , somewhere rustic,quiet and close to water. We found Janet’s cabin just what we were looking for. Everything from the check in to the amenities met our expectations. Would definitely recommend Alexanne cottage rentals for your getaway adventure. We feel totally relaxed and rested ! Excellent little place to stay, quiet quaint and away from the hustle and bustle. Hosts were super nice and went over everything with us to get us started. Everything was super clean and supplied. Would absolutely book again in future

It was an absolute winter wonderland, so peaceful and private. The cabin is perfect, the beds are comfy with great pillows. Super cozy with the fireplace and throw blankets everywhere. Definitely recommend this place! Our dogs also love the property.

Neil has done an incredible job creating an escape amongst the tree on his wood-lot property. We’ve stayed in the cabin a few times now and it never disappoints. It’s a very cozy space and the wood fire stove keeps it toasty with very little effort. The breakfast is amazing - a basket filled with home backed goods and treats, local produce & preserves. More than enough for the two of us. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a quiet private space to relax and unwind.

My girlfriend and I had a great time. Beautiful property and the sauna was great. Just what we needed for a peaceful relaxing weekend. Grateful we could bring the dog up as well. Do recommend!

Cant say enough great things about our stay this weekend. The property was very clean, it says a lot when an outdoor kitchen is more clean than most indoor kitchens. It was a cold night so it was nice to have an awesome fire pit and the room for sleeping stayed warm throughout the night. Excellent communication from the host throughout the whole process. Will definitely be back here and have already recommended to several friends. Thanks!!
