We really enjoyed staying at the golden hour! The hosts were very responsive and helpful! They had sound machines in every bedroom which if you have kids is a big deal. The toys and kids activities there were a big hit! The pools are pristine and the whole outdoor area is very nice! Very short walk to beach which was also convenient! They literally thought of everything, if you forgot something chances are they had it! Definitely recommend staying here if you have children and want a nice low key place to stay!

I can’t recommend this Airbnb enough! If you’re looking for comfort, style, and an unbeatable location paired with a wonderful host, look no further. I can't wait to return!

Great place located walkable to the Boardwalk and the entire Beach. We loved have the grocery store a block away and walking everyday on the Boardwalk.

A Very Pleasant Place to stay. Secluded with a Nice Pond and Saltwater Pool. Very Pleasant Hosts Mike and Courtney! Nice and clean Inside. Great communications with Alice Also! We hope to visit again! Highly Recommended! Great place to stay! We came to Visit Nas Oceana for Annual Airshow! Not far away! Hope to return Next year!

What a fantastic place! LARGE and clean house, best bang for your buck, and 5 min walk to the beach. Couldn't ask for a better place to stay around the area. my wife and my dog also loved the home. 11/10, would absolutely come back for another stay.

What a beautiful and serene space for a women’s retreat! It is very obvious that the home is very well loved as well as very special. We all discussed coming back again because we enjoyed the space, the comfort and the scenery very much. We thoroughly enjoyed the great blue heron right outside the window each day as well as breathtaking sunsets. It was hard to get back to the grind after such a beautiful sanctuary weekend away.

We enjoyed our stay at The Great Escape! Most of our time was spent in the private pool and fishing from the yard into the canal. The walk to the beach was quick and easy. We loved how quiet and safe the neighborhood was. The house had all the amenities we needed- it felt like a home away from home. Kim was a great host supplying us with lots of recommendations and was quick to resolve any problems. We hope to visit again in the future!

If you're a beach goer, this is definitely the place for you to stay. The house is only a 6 minute walk from the beach. The house is very spacious. We had 13 family members staying at the house and there was plenty room for all of us without feeling overcrowded. We had a couple issues with linen, but the host was very responsive and handled the issue quickly. Being able to fish off of the fishing pier/deck in the back was a bonus. The host was gracious enough to allow us to do an early check in because family was coming in from out of town, and also offered a late check out if we needed it.

I could not recommend this place and these hosts enough! The place was warm and welcoming and I absolutely love the location. A very peaceful neighborhood with easy bay access. The hosts were amazing and responsive. The house had some maintenance problems but at no fault of theirs…just typical house problems and they handled everything extremely well and we were not inconvenienced at all! Also our dog loved the place and they were stocked will all the dog necessities which was very helpful!

Travelling with our dog, the fenced yard and pet amenities were definitely appreciated! The space was clean and comfortable, and very much met all of our travel needs. Thanks!

Highly Recommend! My first time in Norfolk and I almost don’t want others to know about this place because it will be booked whenever I want to return. Peacefully neighbor and safe for women solo-traveler. The backyard is a dream and everything works great inside the home.

Perfect for a sibling gathering and hosting our deceased parent’s cousins. Handicap accessible was an added plus as we are not as young as we used to be! Kitchen was well stocked for cooking a full meal to share.

Welcome home! Our gals weekend away felt like home. Donald and Deb were terrific hosts. They go the extra mile to have all the extras. I’ve never visited such a well stocked Airbnb. They take pride in the presentation of their home. It was clean and had ample parking. Easy access to the beach and great restaurants close by. And guess what?!? They have the most beautiful roof top area. Amazing for all the star gazers too! Donald responded quickly when we had a question. We will be back VA Beach! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Five stars!

Cute place to stay for a weekend get away. Close to many restaurants and the beach.

Sharmane house worked well for us! 5 adults and 5 kids was a bit of a tight fit, but with two adults taking a couch each, we made it work! The house is clean, everything works, and the price is right. Thanks Sharmane!

What an amazing find in Newport News! This home is updated, welcoming, well kept, and spacious. We loved everything about it, but here are some standouts: So close to CNU! A short walk and you are on campus, so the need to find visitor parking at CNU is eliminated. The entire house was very clean and free of pests/bugs. Comfortable beds and soft sheets. Bathrooms had lots of towels, toilet paper, hand soap, and shower essentials. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals and plenty of plates, bowls, cups and utensils for everyone. And finally, communication with Xiang was top notch. She was friendly, helpful, and quick to respond to our questions. You can tell she cares and wants your stay to be the best, which it absolutely was for our family! I highly recommend this home and we will be back for sure! Thank you Xiang for a great home away from home!

A group of 12 of us, 4 different families, from different parts of the country were in town for my daughter's wedding and our original reservation for a place to stay fell through. Chastin was willing and able to accommodate us last minute. The house was clean and kitchen stocked well with kitchenware. The place was perfect for our gathering. While we were not involved in wedding activites, it was the perfect place for us to hang out and reunite with each other. The property is beautiful, and a perfect place for children to explore and adults to hang out in the various indoor and outdoor sitting areas. The house had more than enough room for all of us. We were thankful that our previous reservation did not work out as we feel that staying at Chastin's place was meant to be. I would book again in a heartbeat if we have another opportunity for family gathering in Virginia Beach.

The home is beautiful and spacious, it accommodated our group very well while we were in town for our wedding. The house is clean, well appointed and this hosts are very responsive. The location is walkable to many different activities on the way to the beach. We will definitely stay again next time we are in VB!
