Beautiful apartment in beautiful area of downtown Ellijay. Short walk to everything downtown. Perfect getaway with lots to do and beautiful scenery Everywhere you look. Host was very accessible at any time, and very informative and friendly of all the surrounding areas. We will go back and stay here again loved everything about it.

My boyfriend, our friend, and I enjoyed our stay at Tom and Christine’s place! We enjoyed sitting on the dock, and the space is very clean and comfortable, and close to everything. We’d love to stay again

Excellent option in Ellijay...close to Amicalola Falls, Appalachian Trail, apple orchards, river, local town square for coffee, shops, restaurants and nightlife. Cultural museums, candy shop. We stayed here for my nephew's wedding at Summit Farm Weddings @10 miles away...a beautiful atmosphere with picturesque mountains, rolling hills and pastures. Highly recommend. It was chilly in FEB, but we'll be back again for check out summer. Thank you RandA!

Me and my friends spent a week at this place. Even though it's a shared space, it's very private. The surroundings are beautiful and it's a great place to unwind and relax, highly recommend!

My family and I visited the cabin for a long weekend. We thoroughly enjoyed the check-in process. We even received a message about checking in early. The kitchen was clean. There was coffee, tea and hot chocolate as well as some seasonings that we could use. All dishes and utensils were easy to find. All the bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and very well put together. The beds were comfortable and the master bedroom exceeded my expectations. There was a wraparound patio and a door from the master bedroom that led to it. This was a really nice touch. The basement had a nice size kids area and some family style games. Everyone enjoyed those. There was a fire pit and a Jacuzzi outside we use the fire pit nightly. We did have to stop by the local Walmart, which was not far to get some wood. Initially, there was an issue with the Internet, but I was able to reach out and resolve it within an hour. I definitely appreciated the quick response. I would definitely revisit this locatio

My husband and I have been taking our family on mid-winter excursions for over 20 years. In the last 10+ years we’ve added 2 son-in-laws and 6 grandkids. Alternating between Georgia and East TN, this has easily been one of our favorite getaways. Our grandkids loved the downstairs area they felt was especially provided for them, but lured the rest of us too! While we had several options for activities in the area to keep the kids occupied over the long weekend, it wasn’t necessary as they preferred to stay at the cabin and enjoy all the fun and games provided along with movies and popcorn made in the vintage looking popcorn cart! The cabin is lovely and very well stocked in every way. There was an issue with the heat-pump, but our communication was seamless with the Fordham’s and they had technicians sent out quickly to look into the situation. The cabin is set in a quiet, lovely location that affords privacy and relaxation. We would definitely recommend Lake Dakwa Lodge.

Wonderful accommodations. Clean, neat and very private. Beautiful stream, close enough to town to be comfortable, but far enough for complete quiet. Definitely recommended for a short stay.

A few friends and I booked this cabin for our last spring break together in college. We wanted a quaint place in the mountains to hike and explore a small town, and we got exactly what we wanted. It was so quiet and peaceful. The house, creek, and scenery were beautiful! We could not have asked for a better place to stay!

It was a beautiful, somewhat secluded location. The kids (and adults) absolutely loved the creek flowing behind the home and the views of nature. The local town was cute, clean, and not overly crowded. We really enjoyed the home and would definitely return. It was a great & relaxing trip.

Fantastic house that combined the peace and quiet of the river with the short drive to downtown. Great location and cozy house.

Place was beyond amazing! Made our little Spring break getaway one to remember. Russel’s place is so private and quiet. Kitchen had EVERYTHING we needed. Plenty of towels and hot water for a house full. My Littles, ages 4 & 7 were always busy, playing inside and outside, they were never bored. The river is shallow but so clear and beautiful. We even enjoyed listening to the geese and watching all the deer meander about. No one wanted to leave after a 4-night stay. We loved it so much. We ventured out hiking one day with some nice waterfall hikes and swinging bridge not too far away. Went shopping in Blue Ridge on another day, such a cute little area with boutiques and restaurants that my older kids loved. This is a beautiful mountain area to visit if you want to steer clear of the commercialized stuff Gatlinburg has to offer. We will definitely be back will recommend Russel’s place to our families and friends!

Beautiful home. Stayed here for spring break with our kids and another family. Gorgeous lake views and the house had all the needed amenities.
