Do yourself a favour and chill out here. So peaceful and quiet, beautiful views, birds everwhere. Pop into Dudley winery for a shiraz, come home to sit by the fire and breathe. House so comfy, great beds, kitchen with everything and most thoughtful bathroom pack ever. I wanted to stay forever.

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay. We were surrounded by nature in a very peaceful environment. The house was equipped with everything we needed, was very comfortable with large windows to take in the amazing scenery. The coffee machine was an added bonus. We looked forward to coming back to relax after a day of exploring the island. Definitely recommend!

I don't even know where to begin to describe this wonderful experience. This was the first time in 15 years for my husband and me to visit Kangaroo Island, and the very first time for our 6- and 9-year-old children. Vivonne Bay was the perfect location, offering ideal access to all the places that captivated us, and we enjoyed every day in comfort. Adorable animals visited the ocean view throughout the day, and our children absolutely loved spending time with the cute wallabies and birds. Without a doubt, this has become one of our most treasured memories. The room was very clean, fully equipped with everything we needed, and we were able to stay comfortably without any inconvenience. Ian and Anne’s recommended handbook was also incredibly helpful. Even the meals at the nearby general store exceeded our expectations. Thank you so much!!

We had a wonderful six days in this lovely home, enjoying Vivonne Bay and the island. The house had everything we needed, plus nightly visits from wallabies! The house was spacious, clean, comfortable and well equipped, and made a great base for exploring Kangaroo Island. We would stay again, and highly recommend it.

Loved staying at The Shack this week. It was the perfect base for us as we explored the island. We felt extremely welcomed and was exactly as described. The beach across the road was a perfect way to wake up and enjoy breakfast as we watched the sunrise. We can’t wait to come back and enjoy this slice of paradise again.

Wonderful place to stay! Have nothing but positive things to say. Clean and extremely comfortable. Light and airy. Great beds! Kitchen has everything you need. Beautiful outdoor areas. As close as you can get to the magnificent Vivonne Bay beach. Just a 2 minute walk! We had a visit from a Wallaby and an Echidna in the front garden. Best place to stay to visit the South Coast attractions. Admiral's Arch, Remarkable Rocks, Hansen Bay, Seal Bay, Bales Beach. So much easier than travelling from Penneshaw or Kingscote! And what an absolute pleasure to return here after visiting these wonders during the day. Hosts were great at communicating and very helpful. Lots of information also at the house to guide you. If (when!) we return to KI we would absolutely stay here again and will be recommending it to everyone we know.

We had a wonderful private stay at Sue’s place on Kangaroo Island! She was very responsive and helpful, especially with our room arrangements. The property is beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by nature—plus, we were lucky to see some adorable kangaroos right on the property! Sue also gave great local recommendations that really added to our trip. Highly recommend staying here!

This house was perfect for taking our Uk family to Kangaroo Island. Emu Bay has safe swimming and is very beautiful and peaceful. We also saw koalas, kangaroos and penguins. House is well equipped and was big enough to comfortably accommodate our family of 4 adults. Over the weekend there is a small cafe, bar by the beach which was great for having a drink while looking at the beach.

We had a peaceful relaxing time at Herbs. Searenity is in a wonderful location, amazing ocean views with heaps of wildlife literally at your doorstep. Think kangaroos, superb fairy wrens and a cute Echidna who visits regularly ☺️ Herb has absolutely thought of everything you will need for an awesome break. We can highly recommend you book a stay. The best Airbnb we have stayed at.
